1. Just what are Russia China India and Brazil thinking?
Tim ,   Brighton   (06.23.11)
Their softly softly approach with regard to Ahmadinejad is just unbelievable They obviously havent learned anything from 1973 and the near collapse of the global economy If Iran is near to producing a weapon with the risk of regional war - possibly even nuclear - does Russia India China and Brasil think they will be immune from a global economic melt down? In fact the predictions are that China alone will have around 60-110 million unemployed. And ALL their economic and social progress wiped out at a stroke This is what I cant understand. Whats in their national interest - to sit on the fence and self righteously pander to a consummate liar like Ahmadinejad or protect jobs and their national interest For all those Russians, Chinese, Indians, Brasilians who have worked so hard to build prosperity - their ambigious approach to this issue is what could bring all this down like a house of cards. And their leaders will not be forgiven
2. Really ?
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.23.11)
So What the Hell are you waiting For?!!!!
3. Smart guy
Kazim Ali ,   Kut, Iraq   (06.23.11)
You got to give it to him , he os smart with his saber rattling as keeps Israel off balance until he reaches Iran goal of acquiring nuclear weapon. He surely knows how to keep you under. Constant pressure until you fall like rotten apple ,I am g Ad Iraq is on good terms with Iran.
4. #3. Hi Kaz - Smart or what?
Tim ,   Brighton   (06.23.11)
First by this constant sabre rattling - Ahmadinejad is putting Iran at risk - because sabre rattling of this kind cannot be ignored Second - we all know just how easily the Ahmadinejad worm can turn on Iraq. He is the worlds most accomplished liar. Iraq despite the years of suffering is showing itself to be a shining example amongst the Arab People. As Irans closest neighbour would you honestly trust Ahmadinejad not to threaten Iraq to extract a price if they ever developed a nuclear weapon?
5. #2. Salma - I agree
Sammy ,   Newcastle   (06.23.11)
Say Ahmadinejads RG are insane enough to try to send a nuclear armed missile into Israel Even if its intercepted who does he think the casualties will be from the fall out? Well Israelis, Palestinians, Jordanians, Lebanese, Turks, Cypriots, Greeks, Iraquis, Syrians.... Does he care? Not an iota He believes this is his destiny My message is..May be yours but it sure aint ours!
6. Certainly reminds ya of the Nazis before WW2
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (06.23.11)

Hi Tim, You are simply wrong , we feel it , we know it, Iran does not wish us ill, the friendship to Iraq is. Stronger than Ahmedinejjd, it os. Under the senior mullas, who. See Iraq in the same light as Iraq , so yes you are right we are in the best position on good terms with the West. And Iran., but he is after you .
8. Iran doesn't need nukes all they need..
Chris.B ,   Australia   (06.23.11)
is to have break out capability. If they really wanted nukes they could of baught them already it would of been alot easier and cheaper. X-22 Sunburn anybody? They are just producing energy nothing more. Russia would not sell the tech to Iran unless it was safe for Russian interests and security.
9. #4. Hi Kaz

10. Dangerous comments
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (06.23.11)
How does one (country) make a bad situation worse? To describe politics here as dangerous, is an understatement. Knowing the danger, and then purposefully using language, designed to make the situation worse, defines Iranian politics. This is exactly the same irresponsibility, that demands Iran NEVER has weapons of mass destruction. You don't an irresponsible child, a loaded shotgun! And if he gets one, you take it out of his hands.
11. reminds me of Israel's policy of maybe we have maybe we dont
zionist forever   (06.23.11)
Iran says that they could make a nuke then they don't need to hold an actual test to prove to the world they have the things and risk military action or further sanctions. Instead just say we could make them if we wanted but we don't want to and it is effectively saying in code we won't go on the record and say we have the things but you know we have them so beware. Thats pretty much how Israel does things. Don't admit we have them either way but everybody knows the coded language is they are there so watch out. Finally Ahmadinejad has come clean about Iran's nuclear ambitions and so its time to take action instead of playing diplomatic games which are going nowhere.

19. There is some truth in Iran's great capabilities
Marco ,   Spain   (06.23.11)
This is only a short list: -Stoning women to death -Hanging Gays -Executing Baha'i -Guards raping women prisoners sentenced to death -Torture maiming prisoners for life as standard interrogating procedure (not kids play waterboarding) -Clubbing peaceful demonstrators -Making annual scientific inventions that amount to more than the rest of the world combined -Too incompetent to control Stuxnet virus that permanently disabled the nuclear program -Ruining the economy of a country with the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world -Having average income one third of what it was 33 years ago -Hosting the largest government bureaucracy relative to population size -Corruption all the way to the highest level of Guardian Council -Number of Ayatollahs with multiple wives -Number of Ayatollahs becoming $billionaires who have never run a business in their lifetime and never will -Number of drug addicts roaming aimlessly in the streets -Constantly reducing the amount of gasoline produced in the country -Photoshopping imaginary military accomplishments -Losing one million people in an 8 year war -Sending tens of thousands of poor children to be blown up by mines in the same war, and as a reward putting on their little necks plastic keys to Paradise -Denying Kurds, Baluchis, Azeris and Khuzestan their unalienable right to secession and forming independent countries while shamelessly/hypocritically demanding that Israel allow it The long list doesn't fit in this post. Be proud of such achievements.
