Jon ,   Baltimore US   (06.23.11)
they must keep "others" separate.
2. TA kindergarten to reject migrant kids
T.Weissman ,   Modiin Israel   (06.23.11)
This is the same thing that Poland did to my parents because they were JEWS 80years ago. Like Hillel said "That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow. That is the whole Torah; the rest is the explanation; go and learn."
3. No mother.....You are racists and you will lose.
Salma ,   Palestine   (06.23.11)
Why do you think yourselves better than others ?!!!
4. it is not racism, we LOVE them. but THEY have disease.
nice ,   tlv   (06.23.11)
5. "Arians Schools"
Ameridane ,   Aarhus, Denmark   (06.23.11)
I can imagine the outcry the policy of not accepting Jewish pupils to a local school will create in Denmark- man, Israel really knows how to antagonize the world, but on the other hand some haredi schools discriminate against no-ashkenazi pupils already.
6. We have unemployment! Why do we need foreign workers?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (06.23.11)
This stupid move just encourages those who brand Israel an "Apartheid" state! However, why do we allow foreign workers to come to Israel? The USA doesn't allow it unless that are on sabbaticals and so on and we should do the same!
7. #2
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (06.23.11)
If your parents were illegal Germans or Russians who sneaked into Poland to get a free education that is not surprising. Countries have laws. You must have read how the US kicks out illegal Israelis. The real problem (which has nothing to do with this story) is that taxpaying, loyal Poles who happened to be Jewish were segregated.
8. Government doing nothing about foreign migrants
Rachel ,   US   (06.23.11)
And before shouting out racism, I would like to see the reaction if a kindergarten for migrants was opened in N. Tel Aviv.
9. Racism in Israel
Ian ,   Israel   (06.23.11)
Why is our memory so stunted? Have we forgotten what happened in Europe? Why is there any reason at all to treat "migrants" so badly. Does anyone understand why foreigners call this place an apartheid state? This is more fodder for them . Its quite incredible that people here think they live in a bubble, that this is the only country on planet earth and treating humans with dignity and respect is out of a Grimm fairy tale.Is anyone surprised by the way Israeli's are treated when travelling? No because if there was any care this wouldn't be happening in 2011.
10. Kindergarten in Hatikva neighborhood in Tel Aviv
Les Freud ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.23.11)
If the children pose a health risk, provide them medical attention. Children can not "lower the level of teaching". Children may pose a particular challenge. A challenge which the school system needs to meet. Can you imagine the outcry if the school system of any country to which Israelis emigrate to would reject their children on the same basis?
11. BETTER FOR THEM
John P. ,   NYC   (06.23.11)
Believe me...who wants to spend hours with israelies....they shout a lot and have no manners...hehehe...I feel it every day in tel aviv center
12. in the usa all kids have to go to dr BEFORE they are
(06.23.11)
allowed into any school so this means they are free from disease. and for those who can not speak the language they have speech/language pathologists there to work with kiddies who have this barrier. and all kiddies have to have shots, like everyone else or they aint getting into school
13. #3 Salma
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (06.23.11)
How many migrants and non-Arabs are welcome at YOUR schools?
14. NOT racism this time
Israeli grandma   (06.23.11)
Kindergarteners are there to learn language skills among other things and its penalising them by having them spend hours every day with very young companions who speak all kinds of foreign languages. These children of immigrants are victims of their parents choice to sneak into Israel and take a ride on what should be the Israeli citizens institutions. If the "bleeding hearts" are so concerned about these mixed multitudes, they should put their hands in their pockets and fund special kindergartens with emphasis on acquiring local language skills, and while they are about it, increase the free medical care available and see that these poor kids get the vaccinations they should have in our country. The comparison with the evil Nazi policies is a false one.
15. high % of migrant children
marion c. ,   europe   (06.23.11)
these parents simply had the courage to speak out and call things with their names. in european capitals this problem is omnipresent and many parents avoid kindergartens and schools with a high percentage of migrants. in order not to be labeled "racist" parents silently send their kids to private institutions or to the districts with a low migrant population. to the wannabe- lefties: this is NOT racism when parents want the best for their kids. instead of shouting "racism!" migrant quotas per kindergarten should be introduced and teachers should be encouraged to train language skills of the migrant kids. thus they will immerse and adapt into the society of the host country much faster and everyone will benefit.

BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.23.11)
As it has been taught in the Koran, in case you didn't know Look up the meaning of "Dhimmi" you half-wit American schools are flooded with illegal immigrant children, as are Welfare & Health care, all of which is being paid for by the LEGAL taxpayer California, to name just one state, is broke because of the Illegal’s Your own medical coverage prices are increasing because you're paying for illegals, I'm sure you pay the extra charges with a smile on your face I have a suggestion, invite some strangers off the street to share your home and food, let’s see how generous you are I’m rather surprised that you’re still in Maryland, I had thought that with your enthusiasm you would have long since departed so that you would get a good seat on the Flotilla
17. #2 T. Weisman
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.23.11)
There's a substantial difference in the circumstances Your folks were citizens of Poland and had been so for years, these are illegalls Let me ask you one simple question, when was the last time you invited any of them into your home for Shabbat Dinner or any dinner, since you're quoting Hillel ?
18. Let them learn together
Ethan Schwartz ,   Eilat, Israel   (06.23.11)
The values they learn at home need some upgrading. (We're not as good as those in North Tel Aviv, but we are better then the refugees). Make sure the employers of the foreign workers pay for the schooling and all other taxes.
19. #3 Salma - Thanks for the Laugh
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.23.11)
When you mentioned Racist, you forgot to mention the Koran and how it instructs you to act toward Dhimmi's, as being people of a lesser value If you can’t find the passage, just ask, I’ll be glad to send it to you Be a dear, look it up, before shooting off your mouth again, you just shot yourself in the foot Or is it you're just being your usual hypocritical self ? Next matter: Where are the answers to my Easy Questions ??
20. #1 Jon - Public Facility
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.23.11)
Are you trying to misinform us that Baltimore schools are so good that people don't send their children to private ones in order to protect them from hazardous associations & conditions ? Baltimore is a crime ridden city with horrible school conditions, you must be a result of the system
21. Mass Deportation
Eli ,   USA   (06.23.11)
Israel is under a greater threat than the Arab terrorists, we cannot afford to lose our Jewish Identity. Time to deport all illegal aliens. I was raised, grew up, and served in the Jewish nation, I want to have a Jewish country to raise my family. When are we going to rise up against these liberal anarchists who are worse than our worse enemies, what kind of Jew wants to erase the Jewish State, this is not freedom of speech this is TREASON!
22. Push the usurpers out of Israel
Al   (06.23.11)
Israel was not founded to care for the ills of the world. Israel was founded to care for the Jews. What part of that do the idiots like # 2 dont understand?
23. We want,we like,we will be among our own.
Keren ,   IL-BR   (06.23.11)
People don´t necessarily have to mix.Actually,I think it is unatural to mix. " Palestinians"must go back to Egypt,to Lybia,to wherever they will be among their own ,which is certainly not Israel. The same goes for migrants. Arabs," palestinians" or who ever else in that set should awake their minds for reason and understand that they are wrong and that they must go to live truly better and fulfilling lives together with their people. This will happen, sooner or later, and the sooner ,the best. Israel´s task is to keep stronger and healthy in order to reject destructive attemps of theirs. Then everything will be alright.
24. migrant kids
Eva ,   USA   (06.23.11)
why did Israel allow illegal migrants into the State? Give the working papers and let them pay taxes like everyone else, then follow the law of the State, inoculations and all! In the USA you cannot register and kid to kindergarten without the medical report and no shots no school!
25. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.23.11)
Israel's resources should be devoted to Israelis. Besides -- do you think there weren't massive emigrations of Jews from one to another country? Soviet Jews? They did just fine; they did not need massive amounts of assistance to rise to any challenges, at least not in the United States. They learned English quickly, but they worked at it. My parents emigrated to the United States following World War II; they were Jewish concentration camp refugees. English is not my first language, but I've mastered the language. It's a question of how hard you are willing to work; Jews are willing to work hard. I do not know why -- nor do I care, actually -- but some of these kindergarteners were born in Israel. Why is there no incentive on the part of their parents to integrate them into society just a tadbit better? Most Israelis would not require remedial education. Most speak English better than a great many Americans.
26. To #25 Sarah
John ,   Alaska   (06.23.11)
I think there are two separate dynamics at work in this issue. First, there is likely a segment among the migrants who have come to Israel for precisely the same reason their fellows went to Europe; they are colonists, attempting to bring Sharia, and intending to live off the public largess whilst so doing. These people need to be returned, by force if necessary, to their country of origin. The Islamofascist infiltrators should not be tolerated for longer than it would take to discover where they are from, that is, where to return them to. But there are others who, while not as able as immigrants we see in the States, really want to become part of your nation. There needs to be a process in place to enable these people do become contributing members of society. Why they are not integrating into society more readily, I have no idea. Growing up in the DC area, I am used to immigrants speaking heavily accented English, who wanted to be friends, learn more about the US and become citizens. It may be culture shock. The immigrants the US has seen have largely been from other countries with the literacy, basic sanitation, and shared values as we have here. But these may come from a place with primitive technology and culture. This may sound ethnocentric, but I belive it may also be valid.
27. Disperse them throughout Tel Aviv
rivkah f. ,   jerusalem   (06.23.11)
The foreign workers' kids should be bused by law throughout the city so that no kindergarten or school should have over 50% foreign workers' kids. That will make all have an equal share in integrating them. And ... they must all be vaccinated or should not be admitted at all. And if they are here illegally, their parents should be deported or legalized.
28. So - you're writing from the US
Bruno ,   Haifa   (06.23.11)
- perhaps you too should be deported. You are only in the US because of their openness to foreigners. Lets start the "mass deportation" as ou put it by having you and all your Israeli friends in the States, coming back to Israel
29. To #25 and #26
Les Freud ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.24.11)
To paraphrase Ezekiel "...they have eyes but can't see, they have ears but can't hear..." To put it in simple term so that everyone can see what is going on, consider what if these children were from immigrant families rather than the children of migrant workers or simply put Jewish. I suspect this would not be an issue. Therein lies the shame. I went to school in Israel as an immigrant child. There were at least six different languages spoken in class and Hebrew was not one of them. I would venture a guess that none of us were immunized. Guess what? Not one of us died of any diseases and within three month we all spoke Hebrew.
30. #29 Les Freud
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (06.24.11)
You neglected to mention how many “ILLEGAL” immigrant children were in your class Any reason for the omission ? I don't want my taxes to be diverted toward people that aren't legally entitled to them
