Yes, settlers have acted violently towards Palestinians, but punches and rough treatment are not the same thing as murder. The settlers are not lynch mobs, they are hooligans (not unlike British soccer fans).

To those who don't understand, the Mukhtar and his family didn't stop the lynch and the murder of this man because they are humane or saints, but rather because they knew that if this man will be killed in their village, a lot of unwanted actions will happen, and the border police will storm and literally walk over everybody in this village, like they do oh so well. Issawiya is part of Jerusalem. Its residents are free to travel anywhere in Israel. The people who perpetrated this were committing a violent hate crime. You are defending them.
