The planned sail is nothing more than a deliberate provocation; it has not stated a practical purpose and there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza other than that which is created by Hamas and that of Gilad Shalit. In fact, the single most worrisome medical issue among the people of Gaza is obesity! Starving people are not obese. Israel WILL act to interdict any attempts to breach its blockade. The people participating in the flotilla should take care to have their estate planning in order. The world isn't going to give two figs if there are any fatalities among the flotilla participants as a result of Israel's interdiction efforts; they've been warned, and they sail very much at their own risk.

While not engaging in violence directly, ISM members have come to the aid of others who have. Away from the microphones Arraf has stated that suicide bombings are a “noble” means of “legitimate resistance” to what she deems Israeli oppression, and vows that the Palestinian “resistance movement” must be violent if it is to be effective. And yet these dupes are all excited to hop on a boat to "free" Gaza? I don't wonder about their sanity and intelligence, since it is painfully clear that they are either stupid, or naive, or gullible, or racist, or all of the above.

The organizers have already stated that the aim of this flotilla is not to deliver aid, but to create a media happening that will generate PR (I paraphrase Adam (putz) Shapiro speaking to the press 10 days ago). These people love Hamas and think Hamas carries forward the glorious revolutionary essence of the Paris Commune. These are True Believers who will use any lie to advance their cause.
