Freedom of speech has never covered incitement to violence, just as you can not randomly yell fire in a theater you can not incite people to kill others. The Rabbi made a mistake in thinking he was above the law and refusing to deal with the police when he was politely invited, thus he was treated as any suspect in a violence related crime. These Rabbis need to decide if they are part of the country and both accept the laws, the handouts, and the protection, or not and start refusing all of them.

I certainly hope his supporters do not ever complain about Hamas' charter. That'd be quite hipocritical. But, I do wonder, had an Arab threatened violenced - or done what these protesters have done - would he still be alive?
