Now, I'm not an expert on the Jewish religion, buut I'm pretty sure Jews are not obligated to support or like Israel. And there is no punishment, anywhere, against people who do not like Israel. It's a country, just like every other country, and every country has critics. I get it though, Israeli critics are the worst. So much to criticize. And they are all anti-Semetis, even the Jews who criticize Israel.

Seriously, we can read all sorts of scenarios into this man's challenge. However, at the most simplistic level what's the big deal? This is a true case of making a mountain out of a mole hill. At the end of the day the guy can only go as far as making a basically empty building. The interior will need to be carpeted for prayers, and then an internal staircase made for the religious leader. Then it's over to the local Muslims to use it as they see fit. It's really that simple! If he wants to shout 'look at me...I'm a Jew building a mosque' let him. It's all part of a learning experience...only I wouldn't want to be around when he discovers exactly what he learnt! Maybe he could have a plaque stating that it was donated by a Jew and an arrow pointing to Jerusalem? Now that would be interesting to see how long it lasts!
