1. Kenny who? never heard of him
Israel   (06.29.11)
This is the first time I hear the name of this PM of the non-important country - Ireland. If Irish people don't want to risk their life, than they shouln't attempt to break a naval blockade and help the Hamas.
2. Kenny
David ,   America   (06.29.11)
Kenny needs to exercise some leadership on his own shores! He should not break international law by allowing hostile ships to depart his shore to confront a legal military blockade by a nation peaceful to Ireland! Warn your own people Kenny. If they are stupid enough to try and break a military blockade if they die their blood will be on their own heads. Not Israel's.
3. israel: the activists should avoid hurting the soldiers
itay ,   reut, israel   (06.29.11)
(if they know whats good for them). they are like the irish people in that episode of eretz nehederet: "bring us another beer, will ya?!!!!!"
4. care about their safety? tell them to stay home
dante ,   uk   (06.29.11)
don't encourage these hateful enemies of Israel to break a legal blockade and, then, say that you are concerned about their safety. do you think that there are problems in ireland or europe that need attention? of course there are, but it is always easiest to attack the Jews.
5. The insolence (chutzpah) of the Irish!!!
CC   (06.29.11)
Antisemitism never dies.
6. Mr Kenny:
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (06.29.11)
Your citizens are committing an act of war against another sovereign state, Israel. By allowing your citizens to commit this act of war, you are complicit. Read between the lines, if you can make out the fine print through your poteen induced fog. The Irish warmongers on the invading ships will receive whatever response their belligerence deserves.
7. Has Kerry returned since Egypt opened the border?
William ,   Israel   (06.29.11)
There are plenty of businessmen and leaders who can "give of their best" now that the border is open. So your "sympathy for Gazans" is really obsolete.
8. Could I get a guarantee of no harm when I attempt to re-arm
meir elazar   (06.29.11)
the IRA and stoke the fires of terrorism in your country? I would like to gather other activists to load ships with weapons and other resources to return the bombings of the IRA to the headlines of every major newspaper as we cheer Irish carnage as we pass out candy to children.
9. Further proof that Ireland sides with Hamas over Israel
Cynic ,   USA   (06.29.11)
10. IRELAND: MIND YOUR OWN DAMN BUSINESS
EZ ,   USA   (06.29.11)
The last thing the ME needs is European interference, especially from the anti-Semitic 'islands'. Wasn't it just last week that violence erupted in Ireland due to it's political failures and British "OCCUPATION" of the North? The Irish themselves have been heavily involved in their own terrorist acts which makes them biased. Not to mention their mideaval interpretation of Catholicism and Christianity along with their embracing of the 'blood libel' and other 'British cloned' nonsense. Zip it Ireland and tend to your own business.
11. Irish Ken
hoogstra ,   canada   (06.29.11)
Go eat a potato.
12. Flotilla force
Luke ,   South Africa   (06.29.11)
If force is used to try to avoid the blockade, then "force" will be used to stop them !
13. Response to Ireland
Andy G ,   Fairfax, VA USA   (06.29.11)
I think everyone knows that the Irish government is trying to punch above its weight class. My suggested response would be "Thank you for sharing those vital and important comments, and we would give those suggestions due consideration. By the way, it would be nice if you were equally concerned about the residents of Sderot and Gilad Shalit."
14. We will not harm them.
Eli ,   USA   (06.29.11)
But the Sharks might when they find themselves swimming back home.
15. Councils sell, but for me I have not!!!
Lengualima ,   I   (06.29.11)
As it seems that some European heads of government are considered the right to say what to do and not to Israel. In Israel we are also very concerned, the Indian Ocean is full of European warships, protecting their ships to get them their gallons of fuel so they can ride in the car every morning. It seems the prime minister, these wishes should be directed to their neighboring governments not to continue killing Somalis in Indian waters. Or solely terrorists have human rights are living Gaza?.
16. If they come looking for trouble they will
Eric............... ,   Israel...   (06.29.11)
find it.This is no game.
17. South of the Irish Ireland
Ayeush ,   Gibraltar   (06.29.11)
While Mr. Kenny deserves our best wishesin his arduis tries to tackle his newly formed government in an almost bunckrupt nation, in a divided small Island, I would rather ask him to tell the TRUE IRISH YOUTH in the Belfast to be compassionate with their fellow Irishes, and let the Jews and the Muslims in the ME to solve their problems. Please ignore Kenny, poor guy he is struggling with the left over from the previous Irish (South Ireland part) government.
18. Kenny, I strongly urge you to disuade
di   (06.29.11)
your trouble-making countrymen from breaking a legal blockade more than 2000 miles off your Irish coasts, because: 1. Ireland is not involved in and should stay off the Middle East 2. Gaza is open through its Egyptian border 3. Gaza is very much OK in spite of all the opposite propaganda and their crying wolf. 4. Gaza is an entity which broke off from the Palestinian Authority by coup de etat 5. Gaza has an illegitimate terrorist leadership called Hamas. 6. Hamas leaves no stone unturned in order to smuggle in weapons of destruction. Guess, whose destruction? 7. Unprovoked Gaza has managed to launch onto Israel more than 10000 bombs and rockets so far. 8. Israel has to do her very best to defend her citizens, Jews and Arabs alike from any other enemies. In this case from other Arabs ! 9. Israel will certainly stop any intrusion and infringement of the maritime blockade, even by citizens of a friendly but uncontrolled, unruly country.
19. flotilla and mr. kerry
SAMUEL ABBO ,   PANAMA, REP. OF PANA   (06.29.11)
i understand that every where in this this act is a provoking one. it is not civilized the way you put it.world if myou enter my house without permission no matter what is the reason you are an intruder and whatever measure i take upon nyou i am 100% justiu\ified dont be an ass hole you know very well
20. It should not be called an aid flotilla.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.29.11)
Time to call it what it truly is: a "Blockade-busting Flotilla". The organizers do not try to disguise the objective of the flotilla anymore so it is in Israel's interest to refer to it according to the stated intention "to challenge a naval blockade of Gaza". There has been a definite progression away from referencing "aid" because they cannot make a convincing case for the necessity or relevance of "aid" for Gaza. The flotilla needs to be placed in its correct context.
21. sainthood
daze ,   US   (06.29.11)
kenny must be applying for sainthood. I have no doubt there were tears in his eyes as he implored the brutal, heartless ,and blood thirsty Jews to please show mercy on the poor defenseless freedom fighters-Gag me with a spoon
22. Reality
Gila ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (06.29.11)
No-one here wants the flotilla to come. The participants and organisers have been strongly advised not to take this illegal course. This is sheer chutzpah of this man telling us not to harm people who are deliberately trying to cause trouble when he should rather be telling THEM not to do this. If people want to send aid to Gaza there are legitimate channels to do so - this flotilla is a deliberate political provocation.
23. Oh Those Lovable Irish
Ira G. ,   Ra'anana   (06.29.11)
They supported Hitler until the Irish Leader went to the German Embassy to sign to condolense book for Adolf. They grieved as Hitler was no more. They now align themselves with the Hamas movement. Nazis, Hamas what's the difference?? The Irish sure know how to pick the right side.
24. Shame on me!
Ira G. ,   Ra'anana   (06.29.11)
I usually read Haaretz. The articles are horrible as are many of the sick emails written there. Shame on me, but no more. Thanks Ynet!
25. Kenny - please, stay in South Park.))
Ariel ,   Europe   (06.29.11)
26. then forbid them from going
Ari Ben Canaan   (06.29.11)
So Mr. Irish Prime Minister, put down the bottle of Jameson, be a RESPONSIBLE leader and tell your citizens not to go! Quit blaming Israel. Be friendly to Israel. Israel has a booming economy and Ireland is going bankrupt.
27. All You Talk-Backers...
Faith ,   Israel   (06.29.11)
are spot on!!! Each and every comment I read (up to and including no. 17), are intelligent and logical, and above all - speak the truth. Keep up the great Hasbara! The truth is always out there.
28. Ireland - Avoid sending activists
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (06.29.11)
29. Legal blockade?
Maher ,   Canada   (06.29.11)
According to morality is enclaving human beings and depriving children of a healthy lifestyle a legal blockage? I think you need to check your moral antenna.
30. head irish anti semite speaks .. big deal
izzie irgun ,   usa   (06.29.11)
no surprise here as the irish are among the most anti semitic in europe and that is a tough act to top. As far as i am concerned let the irish provocateurs get what they deserve, if they follow israeli orders no problem. But if they up the ante, let the chips fall where they may. Hey, here's an idea ...Maybe the president ought to admonish the floatilla scum and not israel for a change. don't hold your breath for that one.
