1. Pampered Publicity Seekers
DavidM ,   USA   (07.02.11)
These people are pampered publicity seekers. They know that there is no shortage of medicine or food in Gaza but they want desperately to get their names in the newspaper and their pictures on television. If they were serious about helping Gaza they could enter quietly and peacefully from the Israeli side or the Egyptian side. Let's see them try their luck sending their little flotilla to Syria.
2. The media should stop covering this bunch of morons.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (07.02.11)
Enough already. No one cares what fools have to say. Cover something more intelligent like people who think the Earth is flat or alien abductions. Without media coverage, this would be a non-event. In effect, the media is the main sponsor of this stupidity. By giving them a forum, the media is an accomplice to an illegal act by crackpots & cranks who support terrorism.
3. Nothing is more pathetic
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (07.02.11)
than this gang of overaged wannabe heroes and heroines. To listen to this Dror, you would imagine his "cause" to be as noble and desperate as that of the Exodus. Meanwhile, good for the Greeks.
4. Leaving without port clearance should cost them jail time
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (07.02.11)
Leaving without port clearance can cost them their insurance and a jail term. Regardless that they were planning to act in "contradiction with international law and customs" they got off lightly. The navel blockade on Gaza is legal and according to "international law and customs" as defined in the San Remo Manual. Their attempts to break Greek law, and to breach a legal blockade, tend to undermine their claim of being law abiding peace activists. They are not even carrying Humanitarian Aid.
5. Flotilla-cry babies
Prof. David ,   Rochester, New York   (07.02.11)
The flotilla has been out maneuvered. They are acting like a bunch of 6 year olds now. Whining and crying aboout the Greek governments actions. They thought they planned so well but their publicity is minimal and they look silly as thousands die in Syria and they are silent.
6. Mr. Feiler
Standing Tall ,   USA   (07.02.11)
The self hating Jew still speaks. The Gaza strip does not need your aid, even the terrorist group Hamass said so earlier. So, I guess ingratiating yourself with these murders is more important than taking care of your own people. You are a sham, a disgrace and nothing more than the court Jew, the uncle Tom of our time. When they try to kill Jews, you will be on the list also.
7. the idiots on a fool's errand
Perrt   (07.02.11)
Why doesn't someone tell Greta that stupid broad, to go home, wash the dishes, clean the house, then tell her priest or rabbi that she screwed up with a bunch of hoods aboard a fool's ship to knowhere.
8. Losers and terror abettors-birds of a feather adrift...

10. my kids are still wating for their letters of support!!!
tami ,   sderot, israel   (07.02.11)
i live in sderot and my kids sleep in a concrete room without windows so they won't get hurt from the rockets the gazans throw at them!
11. the blockade is fully legal!!!!
jenifer ,   norway   (07.02.11)
according to the law of blockade which was derived from customary international law and codified in the 1909 Declaration of London. It was updated in 1994 in a legally recognized document called the “San Remo Manual on International Law Applicable to Armed Conflicts at Sea.” Under some of the key rules, a blockade must be declared and notified to all belligerents and neutral states, access to neutral ports cannot be blocked, and an area can only be blockaded which is under enemy control. “On the basis that Hamas is the ruling entity of Gaza and Israel is in the midst of an armed struggle against that ruling entity, the blockade is legal”
12. The flotilla's speakers are perhaps the kind of elderly
ellen ,   @$%#$%$#   (07.02.11)
americans who have fluent English, But make NO mistakes. the media don't really shows U who else is on board: Khaled Mashaal's son in law - the head of Hamas's military wing. and Former Finance Minister of the Hamas government. They sure as hell are not peace activists who fly doves into the sky...
13. Aha...
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (07.02.11)
Famous Greta Stuttgart is back! I guess there is no way for her to get sense but to let her enter Gaza and stay there enjoying the Hamas hospitality. Why don't you fulfill her greatest wish, let her in (one way or another) and let her stay there. I am sure that they will find a way to keep her quiet in there.
14. BTW
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (07.02.11)
I renamed famous Greta because Stuttgart comes from a German words stute and garten (it means stute's garden). And English word for stute is mare.
15. PHONY FLOPTILLA
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.02.11)
They are legends in their collective minds as they shout through a megaphone ""I told them to think about the fact that the majority, if not the entire Greek nation supports us and wants us to sail to Gaza," he said" Uh, OK, sure everybody supports you idiots. That's why you could only get 300 people to go. Because "entire" nation support you? Heck they are getting the PR they want by NOT sailing, anyway! After all that's all this was about. Not human rights. Otherwise they would be protesting for Sderot an entire town that has been under "collective punishment" by Hamas who fires rockets indiscriminately at civilians, houses, schools, and school buses. Forcing children at school to run into bomb shelters. Now that's something to stand up for, not a blockade to stop the rockets being used by Hamas to attack and kill civilians. So what left? But to falsely accuse Israel of sabotage without one iota of proof, how typical.
16. International Law
solomon ,   bklyn   (07.02.11)
"Hamas has denounced the decision, saying it was in contradiction with international law and customs" Hamas, of all people, talking about international law? Is it not Hamas who fires rockets indiscriminately at civilians, houses, schools, and school buses? Isn’t that against international law?! And which "international law" are they talking about in this instance? As soon as something legal is done to stop terrorism, terrorists and their supporters yell "international law" where either actions against them ARE in accordance with international law, or where there ISN'T ANY international law regarding the specific circumstance.
17. Dror Feiler - seems you want to be another martyr
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (07.02.11)
18. Flotilla
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Agentina   (07.02.11)
It is amaizing how the AntiSemitism works here. 1. Gazan are more interested in need of exportation its products than visitors with expired products. 2. These people are defying all the countries law to confront Israel (including UN). 3. There are more countries that need more humanitarian aid. 4. They are obstinated in damaging Israel at any cost. 5. Gazan only condem with a cold statement Greece. 6. All countries do not want the flotilla. 7. These people do not get that and poisoned with AntiSemitism (even there are Jews amoung them) want at any cost to reach the International boundary
19. Shapira is not only a traitor but also a liar!
Maurice ,   Montreal   (07.02.11)
He said: "I told them to think about the fact that the majority, if not the entire Greek nation supports us and wants us to sail to Gaza." . This is a lie if not wishful thinking. The Greek population in majority supports Israel. This is a fact. I have many Greek contacts and they all tell me so.
20. "This ship is called the Audacity of Hope"
leo ,   usa   (07.02.11)
Yes, we heard. What a fiasco that other "Audacity Of Hope" turned out to be and something tells me you will not be any different. Bath in lime-light for now. The harder we all will laugh at you later.
21. sick disgusting people
USA   (07.02.11)
"from gaza with love" they love Gaza/Hamas the same way Hitler youth loved their fuhrer, the sickets and the most disgusting on those boats are Jews though.
22. the code pink idiot is in the picture again , where does she

25. Yigal Palmor : "They live in a James Bond movie".
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (07.02.11)
The movie that comes to mind is "A View to a Kill" (1985) starring Roger Moore.
26. #11 Collective punishment is illegal!
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (07.02.11)
Both the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross issued statements in June 2010, supported by numerous human rights groups, that condemnded Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip as illegal. International humanitarian law (specifically the 1977 amendment to the Geneva Conventions) prohibits the use of collective measures that do not distinguish between civilians and the military. Israel's closure policy (severe restriction of imports, incl. enough fuel, building materials, specific foodstuffs and its ban on exports of almost everything from Gaza) clearly constitutes collective punishment of civilians. It is against this that the flotilla activists are protesting and they have my heartfelt support. The Greek government is obviously under enormous pressure to comply with American/Israeli's request to prevent the flotilla from leaving Greece for Gaza, but I am sure that the vast majority of the Greek people continues to defend and support the struggle of the Palestinian people for freedom and self determination. Israel's Pyrrhic victory cannot hide the cruelty and callousness of its treatment of the people of Gaza.
27. Greece 1, USA 0
Good assed Jew   (07.02.11)
28. OBAM'S FRIEND TERROR ACTIVISTS
franz   (07.02.11)
Flotilla organizers claim to be “nonviolent peace activists” and “human rights activists.” They are not. They are members of extremist organizations that support terrorist groups and are dedicated to the destruction of Israel. The Free Gaza Movement is an affiliate of the International Solidarity Movement, which opposes the existence of the Jewish state. The IHH (Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation) is a Turkish Islamist organization with links to jihadist organizations in Bosnia, Syria, Iraq, Libya, and elsewhere.
29. free syria first!!!
fhadi abdull ,   syria\ turkey   (07.02.11)
If flotilla organizers really were peace and human rights activists, they would not go to Gaza but to Libya or Syria, where the brutal Assad regime has arrested, tortured, and murdered thousands of nonviolent, freedom-seeking demonstrators and has caused thousands of others to become refugees.
30. there is no humanitarian crisis going on in gaza!!!
justin ,   NY , USA   (07.02.11)
Gazans are not facing a humanitarian emergency that justifies breaching the blockade. Humanitarian and consumer goods enter Gaza on a daily basis. UN officials repeatedly confirm that there is an ample supply of food and consumer goods. Israel only limits the entry of dual-purpose goods that could be used for weapons. International statistics indicate that Gazans have a higher standard of living than people in nearly all of Africa, including South Africa, as well as parts of Asia and the Middle East. In fact, Gaza faces a glut of goods, not a shortage of goods, according to recent press reports
