JEWrusalem it is, has been and so it will stay
33. Why wasn't this done 44 years ago?

The City of David has been in the hands of the Jews since 1967. Scripturally, it will always belong to the Jews. It should have been called Jerusalem since then. Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

I can see changing names to reflect the Hebrew/Israeli/Jewish names of towns that might have a different name in Arabic, but the English signs should reflect the internationally known names of these cities. Tourism is a large part of the economy, and to confuse tourists is just stupid. Comparing the difference between Al Quds to Yerushalayim with the different pronunciations of towns in English is ridiculous and a different subject matter entirely. There are English names for many cities and countries in the world that differ from the names in that country or language.
35. They want to change Jerusalem as well
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (07.04.11)
Please read my other posting (Apples and Oranges). Your post about Jerusalem is not on point, they want everyone in the world to start calling it Yerushalayim. The Al Quds change, fine, all for it, but getting rid of the internationally recognized Jerusalem is just silly.

When discussing Israel, prounounce it the way the Jews do "Yerushlayim" or if you prefer "JEWrusalem"
