5. Anglo-Saxon countries
Simon ,   Netanya   (07.04.11)
I'm an English speaker. I also speak Spanish, French, Arabic and Hebrew. I find the ridiculous Israeli term 'Anglo-Saxon' actually quite offensive. The term in Israel is used to denote 'English Speaking' however in English this means Nordic Aryans of Northern Germanic roots and is in-fact used by White supremecists. It seems rather ridiculous that as a child at school I was racially abused by the White English kids for not being a Anglo-Saxon like them and now I live in Israel am I suddenly an Anglo-Saxon? I would be grateful if one of the talk-backers could explain the way this terminology has entered Modern Hebrew. WTF?
6. 7 skinny cows
Moshe ,   Israel   (07.04.11)
You should milk this pun for all its worth. After all, Joseph was the 1st 1 to use it and got out of jail and collected more then $200 cause he taught Pharaoh how to make a monopoly on all the food because of it. So if you scream about all these bad puns imagine how ice cream I mean I scream...
7. Anglo-Saxon now Anglo
Simon ,   Netanya   (07.04.11)
I note Ynet has now changed the phrase 'Anglo-Saxon countries' in this article to 'Anglo-countries'. Still kinda wierd. Are they referring to the USA also? It is American independance day today! Would any of the American talk-backers like the USA to be referred to as an Anglo-country?
8. They are a rip off - 30nis for a box
Israeli ,   Israel   (07.04.11)
Paying close to $10 for a box that costs $4 in the US of A, is not so exciting! But I didn't pay off any MK's like the billionaires, so the quotas on importing products to Israel will stay in place and prices will stay high and monopoly's will still exist and competition will still remain a dream....
9. I wish
Mat   (07.05.11)

10. #5 simon
NZer   (07.05.11)
English is my first language ( New Zealander ). Anglo Saxon is the correct term and the one most often used in the english speaking world to refer to white people who spread out from Great Britain to colonise America, Canada, Australia and NZ. It is derived from the fact that Britain was colonised by German tribes, Engles and Saxons circa 500 AD.
