1. why dont these fake humantarians
David ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.06.11)
protest and demand the release off gilad shalit from the terrorists arabs known as hamas?
2. Don't send them back.Put them under psychiatric observation
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.06.11)
for a week or so, then kick them out with a boot up their derrere!!
3. I hear the claims already...
Deebo_ ,   Holon   (07.06.11)
"Transferring unarmed people to a special airport facility is illegal and against international law." OR "They took away my toothpaste! That's against international law." If legitimate visitors to Israel have a hard time getting through airport security, this should be a cinch.
4. Just tourists - do you think that is what they will really
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.06.11)
say? That will identify them.
5. Innes - yeah, right.
R ,   Israel   (07.06.11)
6. Why all the fuss
Mark ,   Jerusalem   (07.06.11)
I don't understand all the fuss, when I fly to Israel I have to answer questions by the security officers, its routine and if someone is suspicious they are escorted away. So why can't the same be done in this case then no activist would even reach the plane. What’s more if Israel wants to they should get all those who do board the plane to sign that they have no intention to do any thing against Israeli policy and if they do will be imprisoned or deported. And of course all baggage should be checked.
7. Maybe Israel can act as if it is in charge, not the UN.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.06.11)
8. send them to Gaza
hannah ,   Israel   (07.06.11)
If it's Gaza they're so concerned for, why not send them there? What does Bethlehem have to do with anything? Who are the "friends" in Bethlehem? They should go to Gaza and experience Hamas up close and personal.
9. blow to tourist industry
observer ,   Egypt   (07.06.11)
if they are admitted in, they will complain. if they are denied admission, they will complain more.
10. Dear Tourists, Welcome to Palestine
Salma ,   Palestine   (07.06.11)
we wait for you with open arms. Visit us and we will rejoice together with you! dear Zionists, Please be polite to our guests. our own international airport near Jerusalem is under construction then there will be no need to Ben Gurion Airport : )
11. Deal with them as the chinese did
Susya Bar Dror ,   IL   (07.06.11)
some years ago with a group of wealthy tourists: put them in a hangar without aircondition, give them a lot to drink. And close all toilets.
12. Claim What You Want
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (07.06.11)
Claim you are a tourist, claim you are insane, claim whatever. It is still a lie. Lying to a government official is unlawful. Lying, when your goal is to disrupt the normal activities of a nation, and its' people, is subversion. Organizing a mass of people, for the purpose of subversion is an extremely serious act of provocation. This country, and its' people have a right, and a responsibility to interdict this act. If you are planning to enter Israel, as a subversive, expect to be arrested, prosecuted and deported. All at a substantial cost to you. Take some advice; Don't!
13. Are they serious..or barking mad?
Tim ,   Brighton   (07.06.11)
1. Follow the interviews with some of these so called activists and shockingly they have NO idea of the issues 2. They have no idea of the history, the politics, the problems and indeed the solutions 3. Any attempt at face to face discusssions and I include activists (most of whom are non Palestinian)from UNISON and the PSD Palestine Solidarity Campaign with these people is met with racist abuse, Ahmadinejad like rhetoric and threats 4. These are the shameful minority with whom I have ceased all association. They should be sidelined, marginalised and disowned. They have NOTHING to contribute to Israel Palestine peace and reconciliation
14. Perhaps another way...Any takers?
Tim ,   Brighton   (07.06.11)
Perhaps allow them entry into Israel and give them a free guided Tour, arrange open lectures and discussions on Israel and Palestine to at least give Israels side of the story As Ive maintained by and large their grasp of the true facts - bad and good are just shocking Maybe such a positive approach might be a refreshing change?
15. Act like Americans
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.06.11)
Israelis should start acting like American border guards. If an American guard doesn't like your face, you are detained and deported. If you say anything, even raise an eyebrow they duct-tape your mouth and do a cavity search to make sure you aren't smuggling drugs or weapons.
16. activists?
tiki ,   belgium   (07.06.11)
Why do you keep calling these people activists? 'Insurging agitators or 'rebelious hatemongers would be more appropriate.
17. Welcome to Palestine
Wissam ,   Palestine   (07.06.11)
18. Its time for a little introspection...
Sarah B. ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.06.11)
What are we doing wrong and why do those European Anti Semites hate us so much?
19. These crazies are willing to die for Gaza
Devorah   (07.06.11)
and this could end very badly.
20. "Welcome to Palestine" and thank you for flying Jordan Air
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.06.11)
21. @10 Alice in Wonderland fantasies are unbecoming.
(07.06.11)
Except for the smallest of children.
22. pro-Palestinian fly-in
Daisy ,   Lelystad Netherlands   (07.06.11)
Since the protesters travel by air they will all be known to the authorities. They cannot hide their identity as they normally do. That is a stupid move of them. It is best to stop them before departure.
23. #17. Hi Wissam
Tim ,   Brighton   (07.06.11)
I know just how hospitable Palestinians can be But before you hand out invites to your party - check out who these party head bangers are - believe me you wont want to know. A bunch of tiresome self righteous plonkers who will soon have you 'singing their tune' if you are not careful And their welcome gifts arent great either - Bags of Cement, Second Hand Clothing and messages from Elvis (Costello) who? Hospitable or no...choose your guests with care PS: Good match Great passion. Palestine vs Afghanistan.
24. other travellers should attack them
jack ,   chicago   (07.06.11)
you know there will be thousands of Israelis and supporters of Israel in the airport that day as well. Let them attack these idiot activists. they want a fight, give it to them.
25. airport
fredi ,   karmiel/israel   (07.06.11)
you mean "Damascus"
26. Easy to stop them coming into Israel
Emma ,   London   (07.06.11)
Surely the Airport Authorities in Israel can get the fly lists of all passengers due to come into Israel on Friday. They can check when the tickets were bought and who paid for them (guaranteed it was some pro-Palestinian charity, there is always a trail). Then they can notify the airlines that these individuals should not be allowed on their planes. Very simple. To Salma - your Palestinian Airport - no doubt it will be used as a launching pad for rockets and hostile aircraft into Israel. You will not defeat us Israel is there to stay, just accept it and whatever lies and distortions you tell, ultimately the truth will prevail. I repeat, Israel is here to stay so up yours. I suppose you will not have too much time to post your inane comments to this site as you must be busy preparing for your guests, a wasted endeavour as they will not be coming.
27. And of course, deny their visas to Israel for life!
(07.06.11)
28. @26 Dear Emma, there is no "Palestinian Airport".
(07.06.11)
29. Air flottilla
Dik ,   Spijkenisse Holland   (07.06.11)
receive them friendly and let them visit West Bank and convey them to Jordan. Good luck. Shalom from Holland
30. Visas
IlanaB   (07.06.11)
Israel needs to start demanding visas for visitors-just like the states and other countries. We Israelis should go and protest against these hooligans.
