1. Such for the perfidious british lies...
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (07.06.11)
Didn't the new gov't commit to put an end to this abuse of the law? I suggest downgrading diplomatic ties with the UK until those dhimmis over in whitehall find their cohones.
2. Can we have the name of the Judge
Jonny ,   Cape Town   (07.06.11)
Can we have the name of the Magistrate/Judge who issued the arrest warrant? I am sure that a scrutiny off his background may reveal the reasons why.
3. He should have gone...
Jeff ,   Maccabim, Israel   (07.06.11)
He would have been arrested and created a very embarrassing situation for the British government, they would have had to pass a law making it impossible for judges to do such a thing, it almost happened in a previous incident...
4.  You told one lie and they caught you : )
Salma ,   Palestine   (07.06.11)
Mr. Peretz, learn this: There can be no courage without fear.
5. I hate to say it
David ,   On this planet   (07.06.11)
With respect to MK Peretz, in my view he looks like a mouse trying to hide to save his skin. Israel is a sovereign state and its leaders do not have to hide or manipulate their plans to be safe. Please have some dignity and tell the UK Their leaders will face arrest when visiting Israel for the crimes they are committing in Libya and Afghanistan
6. A proud Israeli
Israeli grandma   (07.06.11)
I am not an admirer of Amir Peretz but his defiance of the anti-Israel hate merchants made me very appreciative of his guts and self-respect. To the TBacker who expects quick changes in British law, please have some more patience. The UK is only just now trying to untangle itself from the formerly fashionable PC legislation and EU interference and return to traditional Fair Play and common sense in public life. The foul-up in admitting banned preacher Raeh Salah last week is an example of how the system takes time to work.
7. Harrass the heck out of Ahmedinejad, wherever he goes!
(07.06.11)
8. warrants for the arrest of Abbas for supporting terror!
(07.06.11)
9. uk
gdfathermax ,   tel aviv israel   (07.06.11)
it wont be long before every mother in the uk knows the name mohammed. the uk is finished as is the rest of europe. jordon is palestine not israel.
10. poetic justice
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.06.11)
Because of Sharon's destruction of the Likud, Zionists did not vote, allowing the Left to install the "Honest Olmert" regime. When Olmert declared his plan to ethnically cleanse Judea and Samaria, Peretz jumped at the chance to be DM, hoping to get credit for driving Jews from their homes. Things did not go as planned. Hamas used the territory and weapons received from Sharon to kidnap Shalit. Peretz and Olmert, believing their own propaganda that Jews are the enemy, failed to rescue Shalit and through incompetence, triggered the Second Lebanon War that Israel lost. This news won't release Shalit, nor help the victims (dead and wounded, Arab and Jew) of Peretz, but there is poetic justice that a man who wanted to drive Jews from their home is considered a war criminal and has to flee England like a dog.
11. Name the judge
Zed ,   Cape Town   (07.06.11)
Why do you need his name? Do all Israeli supporters want to drag anyone opposing it through the mud? Good will always prevail. We beat apartheid in S.A we will beat it in the middle east
12. peretz
mark ,   israel   (07.06.11)
Whatever one's opinion of Peretz and his politics he is a duly and democratically elected member of the sovereign parliament of Israel and it is an egregious disgrace that the Government and judiciary of the UK is being dictated to by a scurrilous band of [unelected] hooligans.Shame! I believe that Mr Peretz acted in the best way possible under the circumstances
13. # 11 - Real apartheid in Muslim countries
Emma ,   London   (07.06.11)
The only apartheid that exists in the Middle East is in Muslim countries where all other religions are banned and their followers harrassed and mistreated. There is no apartheid in Israel, Israeli Arabs have full citizenship, health and education rights. As you well know, Abbas has said that there will not be one Jew living in the fictional Palestine. Is that not apartheid or do you consider that to be 'good' apartheid?
14. Peretz the Putz
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (07.06.11)
As one can see I'm not a supporter of Peretz, he should stay away from politics, he's lousy at it. However, if he wants people to vote for him, he should have shown balls and alloweed himself to be arrested. It would have killed 2 birds with one stone.
15. #11 "We beat apartheid in SA we will beat it in the ME"
Tahl   (07.06.11)
Well, you have your work cut out for you in the Middle East. Copts suffer from apartheid in Egypt, African migrants are shot dead in Sudan and Egypt, Christians are persecuted in Lebanon, non-Shiites are forbidden by law to run for president in Iran, women are second-class citizens in Saudi Arabia, in Syria Assad butchers his opponents, and virtually all Muslim countries treat Palestinian refugees like dirt. But as you say, eventually good always prevails. Eventually, even if it takes centuries, the entire Middle East will take example from Israel on how to treat people fairly and humanely.
16. All Israeli leaders will harassed where ever they go
Abdalla   (07.06.11)
17. I thought this universal jurisdiction law
Stephen in New York   (07.06.11)
was being modified to end these “war crime” provocations.
18. TRADE PERETZ FOR SHALIT. I know it's not a fair deal
DAV ZEE ,   NYC AMERICA   (07.06.11)
Even tho he has (21) ISRAELI BLOOD ON HIS HANDS...and is not worth very much as a politician, and as a proven false "leader" he has no value(s). Still he may have one use left...
19. shame on you
tiki ,   belgium   (07.06.11)
The Brits should be ashamed of their 'so called Justice system being hijacked by political hooligans. This has nothing to do with Justice, it's 'anarchy. The Brit's, in following their own law, should put their own governements, army commanders, generals + every NATO commander, general + EU/US heads of state on trial for 'their war involvement in Afghanistan, Irak and now Lybia and their part in killing innocent civilians. This law is NOT about 'crimes against Humanity & protecting innocent lives (Muslims kill more innocent Muslims every day than you can count). Every terrorist get's a 'free haven in the 'formal Empire. No, it's about 'smearing Israel and 'preventing it to defend itself. It's part of the International de-legitimazation campaign of Israel, ONLY because it's a Jewish state. Plain & simple. These laws will only be changed when the anarchists lawyers will start using them against British & US/EU lawmakers and Nato personel. Not before.
20. #11 ...Israel is NOT the former South Africa
(07.06.11)
As others here have pointed out - Jew haters like you..attempting to use the "plight of the Palestinians" to MASK your bigotry - have your work cut out. Your bullshit doesnt work with us. We NEVER see or hear arseholes like you even mentioning what goes on in arab and muslim countries - you're full of crap.
21. #10
solomon ,   bklyn   (07.06.11)
Your imagination is almost as good as many others who are against Israel and Jews. I am not saying you are. I am only commenting on your imagination.
22. England
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (07.06.11)
England should be put on trial, for joining a criminal organization, called, the Muslim brotherhood,Winston churchill should be tried for invading France, and killing more than 20,000 civilians, how locky England is today that during ww 2 the BBC was singing a different tune.
23. # 11 Its a bad law
Jonny ,   Cape Town   (07.06.11)
Its a bad law, and any magistrate/judge worth his salt would have recused himself. I am curious as to why this one did not This law will eventually backfire, and leave anyone involved in Afghanistan, Iraq, Ivory Coast open to arrest in UK. This includes former members of the UN, anyone not on a diplomatic passport. As for comparisons with Apartheid, well it shows how little respect and understanding that you actually have for the fight against apartheid. I am not sure if you even understand what it was about. But then you are not alone in this.
24. Brits, you better wake up before it is too late.
leo ,   usa   (07.06.11)

Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (07.07.11)
British bombs killing civilians in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya. Arrest warrants should be issued to top British officials for these bombings.
