2. Why do Israeli Politicians insist on Normal ties -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (07.08.11)
- with this Country which has comitted Genocide. Israel should rather choose the victim as friend, Armenia that is. Turkey is a looser and it will soon be seen. Arn.Sweden.
3. Right PM Erdogan
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.08.11)
Not only do you have apologize to us, but pay compensation to both Israel and the IDF soldiers that your murderous thugs attempted to kill. Also you must apologize for the genocide that you have committed against the Armenians and Kurds. End you occupation of Cyprus and Kurdish territory. Stop your support of terrorism. Once you have completed those steps we will consider normalization, otherwise forget it.
4. Do NOT Apologize for defending yourself
John ,   Alaska   (07.08.11)
because next they will want you to apologize for surviving.
5. No apology, no normalization
Lee ,   Miami, FL USA   (07.08.11)
I agree, unless Turkey apologizes for their involvement in the flotilla; a clear act of incitement and bordering on act of war, there should be no normalization of ties. Oh, and they should be kicked out of NATO.
6. If I were Bibi I would tell this
(07.08.11)
Iranian Lap Dog erDOGan to Get stuffed!!!
7. I vote for
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.08.11)
... no normalization. Erdogan is one pompous and deluded @$$hole.
8. Turkey is the one to who should apologize
Stephen in New York   (07.08.11)
We know that Turkey cooperated with IHH last year and encouraged violent resistance to a legal boarding party enforcing a legal blockade. Further evidence of this is Turkey’s ability to shut down IHH participation in this year’s flotilla. Turkey, not Israel, is responsible for the 9 IHH deaths.
9. 1st apologize 4 genocide on Greek, Armenian, Kurd, Assyrian
Yaniv ,   Israel   (07.08.11)
10. Erdogan is right! Turkey MUST apologize!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (07.08.11)
They sent terrorists into Israel waters and assaulted and tried to kill our soldiers! Israel should produce a new candy: Israel Delight - Erdogan Free. Israelis should take Turkish products and throw thm into the trash and pour their fruit juices into the drains! Close Israel's airspace to Turkish Airlines just the the Turks have done to Israeli Airlines.
11. So now what Bibi, Barak?
Eyal ,   USA/ISRAEL   (07.08.11)
why can't Israel return the gesture and say Israel-Turkey relationship will only be normalized if Turkey admits it had a roll in the Mavi Marmara and the activists who died were all terrorists. That would be much better than beating yourselves up everyday for nothing
12. apologize
aukevdv   (07.08.11)
Why apologize, for invading İsrael? This is upside down! Turkey should apologize for putting lifes at risk.
13. Doesn't the Israel Gov see what Erdogan wants?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.08.11)
Erdogan wants Israel's government to grovel in front of him so that he can pose and posture as big man in the region. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The days when Jews grovel to tyrants are over. I,personally, will never forgive any Israel government minister who caves in to Erdogan's blustering. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
14. Go on Erdogan....
Ram ,   London   (07.08.11)
dig your heels in......hopefully this will give the necessary impetus for the Israeli government to say a final "shalom" to the new islamic Turkey!

Childish ,   Fantasyland   (07.08.11)
more seriously: I think we need to deal with a turkish turkey!
18. Is the reporting on the Palmer Report true?
MSF ,   New York   (07.08.11)
The Israeli reporting on the Palmer report has been very clear: Israeli Blockade legal; Turkey at fault for its instigation of the flotilla and support of IHH. Either the reporting is false or Erdogan is delusional.
19. Israel, please don't apologize
Leon ,   Ottawa, Canada   (07.08.11)
Your arrogance and recklessness has done so much good for the Palestinians and the world.
20. then release the report asap
Dr. O ,   New york   (07.08.11)
its UNTHINKABLE that Israel should apologize for Turkey's needless provocation.
21. normalization with a muslim state is over rated
izzie irgun ,   usa   (07.08.11)
Erdogen has shown where he stands .. with the terrorists and other arab despots who vilify the west and what we stand for .. israel is just his whippng boy becasue he can't risk completely offending the rest of europe .. but building his credentials by beating up on israel no problem and probably just some good old anti zionist fun. lets be real, The days of turkey as an ally with erdogen at the the helm are over. Erdogen likes being a big anti israel player in the muslim world. But soon he will be gone and when he goes the real face of trukey will emerge .. whether its on the path to muslim intolerance or democary and the west remains to be seen.
22. no apology to those that supported ...
Galutia ,   Selah   (07.08.11)
incitement to violence against the israeli boarders....
23. It's all about Erdogan saving face
Robert ,   NY USA   (07.08.11)
No matter what, they attacked the IDF first with knives and pipes. And the floatila came to support other people who are attacking Israel. Selfish propaganda games will never achive peace or justice. Just make more troubles.
24. the Pirates want to get paid
Jan   (07.08.11)
apology?, like hell !! - compensation, ditto.
25. Turkey and Erdogan is a sponsor of terror
john   (07.08.11)
Israel will not apologise nor compensate terrorists and their sponsors.Nothing to apologise for, nor compansate. It should and must be the other way round, otherwise no improvement of relations. FULL STOP!!
26. Erdogan desperate to save face
William ,   Israel   (07.08.11)
while the UN Palmer document declaring his guilt in supporting terrorists against Israel looms over his head. Do NOT accept Turkey's terms, Israel. Aabs never end aggression despite getting what they want - it's their nature.
27. While the temptation to tell Erdogan to go to hell...
Rafi ,   US   (07.08.11)
... is great, Israel is best advised to cool it - and say little or NOTHING in reaction. In fact, the whole thing could be a set-up by Erdogan. Overall, Israel's problem is with Erdogan - not Turkey. A harsh response by Israel could unnecessarily alienate uninvolved Turks - who otherwise have no particular position on Israel or Gaza. That being said, Israel owes no one an apology (soft or hard) - UNLESS the diplomats arrange an across-the-board mutual apology by all concerned, including BOTH Turkey and Israel.
28. Erdogan Observations
M Carr ,   Baltimore USA   (07.08.11)
It is obvious that Israel has the advantage in this dispute and I suggest that the best course of action at this time is no action. Let Erdogan sweat for a while. Where is Erdogan going to go? He has already aligned himself with bloody Muslim and Arab regimes that are constantly blowing up and are unstable at best. These allies will prove to be more trouble than they are worth. The Israelis must always consider what would happen in the likey event of another war with their neighbors. Would Turkey be a reliable ally ready to provide aid and comfort to their Israeli friends? It is obvious that it would be very foolish to trust the Turks at this time. Since Erdogan has chosen to dig in his heels Israel should respond by ending Yosef Ciechanover's mission and call Erdogan's bluff. Let's see if Erdogan can find the way out of the well constructed box he's built for himself.
29. There you go again,Erdogan at his best arrogance
Anna M Sedda ,   Rome-Italy   (07.08.11)
Israel does not need and should not bend to' Turkey;Turkey is trying to take the first place in ME and replace arrogant Iranian president. After,if that works,he will start doing the same game with Europe etc..etc... Israel has notino to' apologize to nobody, less to' Turkey
30. #19 Leon
solomon ,   bklyn   (07.08.11)
Your definition of "arrogant" and "reckless" is obviously because of Israel's survival. Sorry, no apologies. Turkey is now "arrogant and reckless." And Erdogan's comment is stupid. As is yours.
