Salma ,   Palestine   (07.10.11)
I won ;P
34. Dear Salma, 1-State is in our long-term interests
Nour ,   One-State   (07.10.11)
A half-state, void of real sovereignty, with no capital seat in Al-Quds, no rights for refugees to return home because they are Arab, among other atrocities, does not amount to a just solution. Just as our parents and grandparents learned to be patient when facing the monstrosity that is Zionism, displaced and disenfranchised, we too shall be patient until ALL our rights are restored like any human being in this world. Hang-in there Salma, remember we are not here to provoke but to remind the other of our inalienable rights.
35. to #34 too late Israel is already a state
ghostq   (07.10.11)
none there will give up their right for statehood, especially when it is the only jewish state on earth.
36. #34;Nour, ANSWER SIMPLE QUESTIONS
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.10.11)
To quote Nour "she speaks of rights "restored" implying there was something prior to Israel? Then answer these simple questions. If you are so sure that Palestine, the country, goes back through most of recorded history, I expect you to be able to answer a few basic questions about that country of Palestine: 1. When was it founded and by whom? 2. What were its borders? 3. What was its capital? 4. What were its major cities? 5. What constituted the basis of its economy? 6. What was its form of government? 7. Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat? 8. Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation? 9. What was the language of the country of **Palestine**? 10. What was the prevalent religion of the country of **Palestine**? 11. What was the name of its currency? Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, Euro, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese yuan on that date. 12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur? See how silly your remarks really are? I'll be anxiously waiting for your reply.
37. #8 split/schizo/wes Your Ignorance WOW!
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.10.11)
100 is a pretty good start, it shows they're finally waking up to the Muslim threat, which Europe has had inflicted on it Riots in England, France, Germany The American Tea Party started small, look at how effective it has become, its shaking the White House to its very foundations Aside from that, the UNGA can't do anything about creating a Palestinian State, the ability to do so isn't within the Provisions of the UN Charter The UN can do exactly what you can do about creating a Palestine, exactly nothing, so GFY ""The General Assembly does not have the authority to create binding law by a simple vote. It is not a global legislature, just as the UN is not a world government. Its resolutions are symbolic. Never mind the fact that the UN charter never gives the General Assembly such authority."
38. #31 hooo we are soooo scared! hahahahah

40. #34 Your family abandoned Israel
Cynthia ,   USA   (07.10.11)
They weren't displaced or disenfranchised. They ran away to Lebanon in the face of war. Decades later you slither out from under your rock with self-righteous banter trying to rewrite history. You can repeat the same lies to your left brain Salma but it won't help you.
41. #21 Alex-Who paid you 30 Pcs. of Silver
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.10.11)
There never ever was a Palestine, never in the annals of History No mattter how many times I've asked for proof, nobody has been been to prove that it ever existed Maybe you can, have a go at the following easy questions Where was the Ancient Capital City ? Name the last three Rulers, in the Good Old Days ? Where can I see some Genuine Palestinian Coins-Not Mandate money)? Also, where can I go to view some of Ancient Archaeological sites ? That should be real easy for you an expert Hop to it !!
42. #20 James, you're the simple one
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.11.11)
The settlement were the results of continued Arab attacks from the day that the State of Israel was founded Israel turned Gaza over to Hamas, the result was increased rocket fire into Israel I have an idea, how about your returning Canada to the Native Indians you guys swiped it from ?
43. #22 Zionist Forever
BENJABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.11.11)
Numbers are NOT the entire story "The General Assembly does not have the authority to create binding law by a simple vote. It is not a global legislature, just as the UN is not a world government. Its resolutions are symbolic. Never mind the fact that the UN charter never gives the General Assembly such authority."
44. #26 Eric - A correction forr you
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.11.11)
Gaza was the Historical Capital of the PHILISTINES, who were long gone when the Romans renamed Israel/Judea to Palestine Palestine never existed independently, it never had a Government or its own rulers or its own currencies or coins Philistines were from the Aegean (Near Greece), they weren't Semitic
45. PA/UN/ QUARTET/US
LT COL HOWARD ,   WASHINGTON DC   (07.11.11)
Currently, discussions (back channel) with the Egyptian, Saudi Arabian, Lebanese officials (recently concluded meeting in Beirut) show that it was unanimous that Obama is held in low regard and that his speeches “to the Islamic world” have been regarded as empty of content and full of platitudes. Unless Obama delivers Israel's head on SilverPlatter he can never satisfy the extremists (5 to 15%) who dominate through organization and fear. It was Obama that forced Abbas to demand a settlement freeze. If Abbas wanted a two state solution he would offer the Israeli settlers( on those lands that Israel is willing to give up sovereignty)dual citizenship and guaranteed property rights in exchange for a bargained tax rate on settler property and a guarantee that those communities will contribute to the economic development of the new Palestinian state. Instead, he demands that the entire West Bank and the entire east Jerusalem be free of Jews (not free of Israelis but entirely free of Jews). His public statements both in Arabic and English show clearly that he regards the entire state of Israel as Arab land that is yet to be redeemed. It is clear that the quartet (Russia, the UN, and probably the European Union) are very biased against Israel. And whatever concessions that Israel makes to forestall the US from having to take a public action to stop a Palestinian Authority UN action in September will be gleefully accepted by the PA and then within a few weeks or months they (having seen their blackmail work) will be at it again for more concessions. You would think that by this time the US State Department would realize that the Chinese proverb that if you can make a man take one step back you can make him take 1000 is the operational mode for Palestinian Authority bargaining.
