1. Why does the world not condem this.
Alex ,   Israel   (07.10.11)
Every single days these families are going through hell !
2. Sue the Arabs
Sam ,   USA   (07.10.11)
Money talks. Sue the Palestinians (Arabs) for long term mental healthcare, therapy and punitive costs.
3. Sue Israeli gov.All this for non-existing Fakestinians,damn!
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.10.11)
4. Sam / 2
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.10.11)
What makes you think they would pay? When have the ersatz Palestinians ever honored an agreement? They have no honor. I agree with you that they should be made to pay but it will have to be done with force. This is not a job for lawyers.
5. general consensus
Mark ,   USA   (07.10.11)
The general consensus among jews who read about this is one of anger that this goes on and isn't condemned; and that Israel tolerates this. This wouldn't have been acceptable during the 60's or even the 70's. Only now in this time of weak leadership are such acts of war acceptable.
6. Do what the enemy does
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.10.11)
Have a Flotilla bring aid to Sderot, that will grab the worlds attention
7. Ben Jabo / 6
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.10.11)
That's not a bad idea. Well done.
8. #7 Eaglebeak
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.10.11)
Best pat is the Israeli Navy won't try to stop them just as long as they give proper I.D. of who they are
9. This is collective punishment...
Thelionofzion ,   West Yorks, England   (07.10.11)
We hear so much about how the blockade is "collective punishment" and this breaking international law yet we never hear about THIS collective punishment... Strange world.
10. Ben
Anton ,   istanbul turkey   (07.10.11)
may be idf would participate too to help then kill some passengers when job is done sink the ship after all morality is not measured by actions in israel if you are god choosen people you are most moral in world ;)
11. CUFI raised $700,000 for shelters in
Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (07.10.11)
Sderot last year and it seems so small in comparison to the suffering in this city. What needs to happen is world condemnation of Hamas and withdraw all money that keeps these barbarians in business. They will never stop until they are dead.

Birdi ,   Israel   (07.10.11)
Many of us citizens in central Israel have travelled to Sderot on numerous occasions to give the people of Sderot our support, to buy stuff in their shops & have also donated to several Sderot charities. To spread information about Sderot, everyone of us regulars here should send this article to everyone (abroad) on our contact list. Hosting Sderot kids for a week or even a few days so over the summer holidays is also a brilliant idea.
13. Totally beleiveable
ilana ,   Ashkelon   (07.10.11)
Here in Ashkelon, we "only" experienced rockets falling for maybe a year or so and everyone I know, child & adults still jump, especially when we hear motorcycles reving up or a siren on TV. You stop totally still for a split second to hear what's coming next and then try to laugh at yourself or shrug it off, but it's not funny. I have no idea how anyone in Sderot lived thru those 7 years without suffering post traumatic stress disorders.
14. #10 Anton, you seem very concerned
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (07.10.11)
did you bother to show it by getting a seat on the last Flotilla that sailed & failed ? The IDF didn't attack, it defended itself from the IHH thugs that were on the boat Yeah, moral like Turkey, which killed more than one million Armenian's that weren't able to defend themselves, and that doesn't include the count of how many Kurdws you killed We have been chosen to defend ourselves from you and your kind, we are advanced in science and industry, where are you ?
15. Ben
Anton ,   istanbul turkey   (07.11.11)
i am not concerned at all in fact you made me smile with your anger :) i dont suppoprt flotilla so i wasnt on it and i wont be but you seem to want me dead thats not the best behaviour :) "idf was defending itself" tell this to the boy who died with 5 bulltes to head if he belives you then i will turkey is not angel but noone of us claim to be the most moral bs in world here let me ask you somthin about armenians were you supporting their cause before flotilla affirs back when turkey and israel was friend ofc i wll not know real answer to that, words are hardly reliable especially coming from you guys isnt it ironic while you preach about armenians, defenless armenians who killed thousand turks with backstabbing you fail to mention palestenians constantly being abused by you i didint count how many you killed so dont expect numbers from me i dont know if you are chooseen but if you really are then better behave like one and take glass of cold water anger is not good :)
16. 70% of Sderot kids traumatized
nn ,   Norway   (07.11.11)
Weak response to attacks on Sderot encourages the enemy to continue their aggression!!!
17. Sderot and Palestinian kids
Kenny ,   India   (07.11.11)
while my heart goes out for the Sderot kids, just can't stop wondering about the impact of tanks, artillery, infantry and air attacks on most Palestinian kids.
18. Where were the flotilla fraudsters all this time?
PETER SM ,   Australia   (07.11.11)
Will we ever know what slush funds have been supporting them? Which unwitting taxpayers.?
19. A letter of thanks to Claudia
Gábor Fränkl   (07.11.11)
Dear Claudia I know that you are a (very gentle!) gentile (non-Jewish) woman from florida and I read your posts here and elsewhere often. You ARE a brave Lioness of guardian of Jews, Israel and human morality and Western (civilization) morality first and foremost. You are the living testament that it's NOT one's "racial" self what county, but your 1. heart, 2. brain. You have both. You are BETTER than 78 percent of Jews... to us!
20. to #15 attacking Israeli soldiers with machetes
ghostq   (07.11.11)
after sending that boat which it was Turkish intiative, if it was done to my country the gov would declare war on Turkey. you r lucky Israel is reserve and not hot headed.
21. to #17 what Tanks? in cast lead was done
ghostq   (07.11.11)
by air strikes with telescopes for accurate strike and not for mass murder. and since palis initiate the rockets and Israel response all palis have to do is to stop shooting rockets, but since they do not want to abandon the armed strike than the none cares about the situation they create in the first place.
22. If only the west knew
David ,   Melbourne, Australia   (07.11.11)
If only the press from the west actually visited Sderot, and show both sides of the story. I've known this for a while, but only because I know someone who's a nurse in the IDF and been in that area, the west just doesn't think. Sure you'll have lefties going on about the size of the bombs used by the IDF to those of Hamas (though come to think of it, the lefties don't say anything about Hamas and weapons), and the amount of injuries and deaths by the IDF, but psychological damage is just as bad as physical, and these people in Sderot are the forgotton faces of the conflict
23. Give the children omega-3-fatty acid (fish oil) in liquid or
Rivkah   (07.11.11)
capsules to lift their mood. For an adult, two capsules twice daily is helpful. For a child, one capsule twice daily, the contents poured into applesauce if the child cannot swallow a capsule. Another thing that is helpful for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is Propranolol (Inderal) which is a beta-blocker that slows the heart slightly and is used for a number of things including migraines. In low doses it erases the trauma of traumatic events without erasing the memory. Sometimes a ten day regimen works but it could take months on Propranolol or a year. Try it ten days at a time, then wait to see if the traumatic feelings return without it. If they do some time later, try another ten day dosage. Wait and try again if needed even up to a year. But often, the first ten days on Propranolol is all that is needed.
24. #15: Anton, well said!
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (07.11.11)
25. Peres: Cry Babies
Malka Kideckel-Bando ,   Melbourne Australia   (07.11.11)
I remember when the Kassam rockets for falling daily, monthly and Shimon Peres spoke in the media about the people of Sderot calling them "Cry Babies". Why is no one talking about this? Why isn't he kicked out of office? Why isn't he donating his easy money for counselling? Everyone has been corrupt but why is he being protected by the Gov't and Media? Will we find out after its too late?
26. a good idea
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.11.11)
Gilad Shalit imprisoned, Tel Aviv in range of Hamas rockets, and now, 70% of Sderot kids have PTSD. The retreat from Gaza was such a success, let's repeat it in Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem.
27. Aftershocks
Devorah   (07.11.11)
This is an obscene percentage. Some of these kids will carry this the rest of their lives. For this reason alone, Gaza should be destroyed once and for all before another Israeli child is damaged by this sadistic filth.
28. To Birdi and Ilana
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (07.13.11)
Your idea, Birdi is great...But the way I see it, the story of the children of Sderot is the biggest shame on the Israeli government, since the establishment of the Jewish State... I have been there many times and sometimes during sirens and kassams.. I saw the craters after the explosions and heard the defenning silence before the cries of the people in the aftermath.. For almost a decade now, the Sderoth children are not playing outside..The swings and the playgrounds are all empty. The football fields too...Only the public pool is somewhat filled with kids...Amos, my old friend, the lifesaver is always there to do all he can to safeguard the children... And yet, they feel safer in the bunkers, then on the ground level. What is unforgivable, is the fact, that our government it is not considering this a big deal, because if the palis are bombing, but people are not killed, according to them and to the whole world, there is no damage done... Really ? !
29. no.10
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (07.13.11)
Why don't you make sure, your personal morality is in check... There is no way to respond to your random choice of words, that is unrelated to the subject...Your pointless collection of sentences, is as pathetic, as your substance... But at least you are funny...
30. to no.26
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (07.13.11)
Bad idea .. Unless you are looking forward to change your code name to "palestine palestinai"...
