1. Standing in front of a bulldozer
Ivan ,   South Africa   (07.10.11)
is looking for trouble. If Rachel Corrie left politics alone, she most probably would be alive today. Activists think before you do stupid things.
2. As an American citizen, she had no business meddling..
Keren ,   IL-BR   (07.10.11)
in Israel's affairs nor in this "palestinian"thing. She should be punished post mortem by her country for acting illegally in other's country business and affairs and her family/country should pay for the damages they have created for Israel's image and affairs by a citizen who had not legal "diplomatic"papers to act as she did. This kind of usefull idiots ,driven by evil hyennas acting in the backstage inciting them, should mind their own business in their country and stop with this bs once and for all! They should be punished by their countries because these countries are diplomaticaly Israel's friends and no citizen should act in their "behalf"the way these idiots illegaly have.
3. Classic ! We can't win !
Yisrael ,   Jerusalem , ISRAEL   (07.10.11)
If the suit is successful, the parents will say we are brutal killers of peace-loving pacifists. If the suit is dismissed, they will say it is just another example of our brutal strategy of covering up the brutal killing of peace loving pacifists.
4. Rachel Corrie
Susie   (07.10.11)
Such a young woman. What she did was suicidal. The soldier manouvering that tank more than likely never even saw her. It's a shame that a young girl would give her life up for the cause she was fighting. It didn't do any good did it?
5. No sympathy for those who stand with Hamas
Stephen in New York   (07.10.11)
Corrie was defending Hamas smuggling tunnels when she died. If you stand with Hamas, expect to die. No sympathy with those who stand with Hamas.
6. Interesting
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (07.10.11)
All the foreign left wing interveners are always verbalizing how they will die for the cause--until they do! My sympathy is for the Israeli driving the the bulldozer. Even though he can't be held responsible for something he couldn't see--and never should have been there, this young man has to forever carry with him the knowledge that someone died in front of his equipment. He did NOTHING wrong, but HE is punished for the rest of his life. Maybe HE should sue the Corrie family for HIS mental anguish. ( which I am sure exists) After all, they allowed their daughter to go and do something stupid!
7. A hard learned lesson!
Froike ,   Brooklyn NY   (07.10.11)
I'd like to offer my sympathy and empathy to the Corrie's, but sorry, I can't. As parents it was your duty to help your daughter act in a rational and intelligent manner. Obviously, an intelligent rational person would prohibit or discourage their child from purposely going into harm's way for an unjust cause. That bulldozer was destroying the house of a Hammas sympathizer which may have contained weapons caches and/or tunnels. Let this be a lesson to Useful Idiots....No one should lose their children to idiotic causes...especially to aid and abet terrorist groups like Hammas, Fatah, and Hezbollah.
8. Eternal
Leila ,   Earth   (07.10.11)
Though you were forced to leave the physical world long before we had a chance to benefit more from your boundless sense of humanity, your spirit lives on forever in the hearts and minds of millions. My daughter will know who Rachel Corrie was, and I hope she grows up to be just like you. They cannot kill love.
9. Corie was a stupid young woman
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Polandm   (07.10.11)
who might have improved over time, who knows, but in any case, she elected to pose as a wannabe-heroine for the most worthless of causes. I hate when anyone dies at such a young age, but she chose it. Her own bad selection. I'm sorry for her parents, but, too bad, their daughter was a fool.
10. #3 Regardless of what they say Yisrael...
(07.10.11)
As a human being, what do you think?
11. they want justice from the country she wanted destroyed
(07.10.11)
how about poetic justice?
12. "activists"
Hezekial Haim ,   UK   (07.10.11)
Are activists trying to help oppressed people and victims? If so ,why is it that I do not see them helping the rebels in Libya or the massacred masses in Syria or Yemen? Why do they not help the oppressed millions in Iran or China?I think I now the answer. It is because in those places there is no democracy or rule of law.In those places they would be arrested, thrown in jail, humiliated or worse killed or made to disappear without a whisper.Activists are self serving publicists who seek an hour of fame by taking on pretend issues where they believe that the risk is low for themselves and if they miscalculate and get hurt, they or their family are bitter and seek compensation.I have a plea to activists; if you are brave then fight like soldiers and accept the consequences or your action
13. Where were the parents? (Oh, right)
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.10.11)
Must suck for to be the parents of such a foolish young woman. But since they're suing Israel for her death we know where she got that misguided foolishness. No sympathy from me. As even Forest Gump knew, "Stupid is as stupid does."
14. #8 If I ever have a daughter......
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (07.10.11)
I'm not going to hope she grows up to earn a Darwin award.
15. "a credible, transparent investigation never happened"?
William ,   Israel   (07.10.11)
Yes, it did, Mr. Corrie. You just didn't like the outcome. When people like you and your Leftist, dumbass daughter dislike investigation outcomes, you cry foul, you cry racism, you make erroneous accusations about Israeli control of media and govt, and claim Israel is a despotic State.... yet you seem perfectly comfortable that your little girl was illegally inside a war zone, protecting a smuggling tunnel used by an internationally-accepted terrorist organization. That makes her a criminal, Mr. Corrie, according the US laws! Your ilk constantly claim to want equality and global unity but you are the first to break the laws that we all abide by. Move on with your lives and stop torturing yourselves over the death of your daughter. You can't force a closure by blaming someone else for the stupidity that appears to be heredity.
16. Rachel is the kind of stupidity ISM is exploiting
William ,   Israel   (07.10.11)
we just had a mess of "Rachel Corries" come through the Ben Gurion airport, full of piss and vinegar and devoid of facts or an open-mind. Arraf and Shapiro, founders of ISM, cynically exploit these naive kids but never place themselves in harm's way. Not only do they support Arab terrorists, but mimic their operations closely.
17. Sorry, No sympathy here
Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (07.10.11)
Rachel and her family would have been much better served by working for the banishment of the inhuman Shariah laws imposed by Islam in so many countries. How they can close their eyes to the conditions of women in Gaza et al that must submit to this repressive culture shows me there is a huge amount of anti-Semitism or anti-freedom that compell these leftists to their insane positions. And #6, Ellen, I agree with your sympathy for the driver that could not see that poor misguided Rachel. He was the innocent here. I hope he is reassured that he was not reponsible for this, the Corrie's must carry that burden.
18. did she think to be superman?
Ester   (07.11.11)
trying to become the hero of plasticnians is not always the right choice... and she paid for her mistake
19. There are two Sides even to this story
Trent Chandler ,   LA/US   (07.11.11)
Her parents are just as guilty as her, they allowed to go to a foreign friendly country to stir up trouble. Now they have hands out for money from Israel...Disgraceful people
20. to nr. 3.
justice for all ,   world/planet earth   (07.11.11)
indeed the zionists maynot/ cannot win this case, because they committed a crime.( the murder of rachel corrie) perpetraitors and masterminds of a crime may never win. they should be brought to justice and they should get their just punishment. crime may never pay! no matter who, what party, what country commits a crime. a crime is a crime. for the law all should be equal in equal cases and should be treated in an equal way. nobody is/may be above the law.
21. to nr. 19.
justice for all ,   world/planet earth   (07.11.11)
there are indeed two sides of every story. hear both sides. you only mentioned one side in your talkback. (that is one-sided, selective indignation). you forgot to mention/covered up the zionist side/role of the tragic event in 2003. if i were you i should make my homework once again to get the complete story as objectively as possible. success with it.
22. It's always sad ...
John ,   Alaska   (07.12.11)
... when a person dies, even if they made their own decision and were clearly in the wrong. I hope her parents finally realize that their wrongly placed efforts will not restore their daughter to them.
23. Rachel Corrie was a member of the Racist Anti-Semitic ISM
Berchmans The postie ,   Scotland   (03.09.12)
Rachel Corrie did a very silly thing and paid dearly for it.Her parents should have looked after better instead they allowed her into a dangerous war zone. And now are coming to Israel to extract money from Israel.Israel should put a stop to this farce.Send them home and close the case.
