1. Well, apparently Assad thinks the recently appointed
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.12.11)
ambassador to Syria is dispensable. Hm! Isn't Assad the much vaunted progressive, moderate Arab leader that Clinton and Obama gushed about? Looks like he is going through a regressive cycle. Yawn!
2. Signs of an imploding regime
Stephen in New York   (07.12.11)
More to come. Final act when the army fractures along Alawite/Sunni lines.
3. Attack on US Embassy
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (07.12.11)
How good,no Israeli Embassy in Damaskus.
4. The same is true for Hilary
Bashar al Assad ,   Shitholabad   (07.12.11)
5. Where did the thugs come from?
Michael ,   California, USA   (07.12.11)
The bashers of U.S. and Obama sound familiar to me. There are even supporters of Gaddafi here, blinded by their hatred of Obama and his Muslim middle name. So, a bus was hired and 300 of them went to Damascus, and now they are coming back home and will be posting their comments soon. Does Hillary know, does the U.S. Ambassador in Damascus know?
6. The really never miss an opportunity
John ,   Alaska   (07.12.11)
The Obama administration has been studiously ignoring Syria while prosecuting it's war in Libya. Absent an attack on US territory by pro-Assad hoodlums, the status quo should have held. Now that Abbas' thugs have done their thing, he is "not indispensable and we have absolutely nothing invested in him remaining in power." Staying off the US's radar was Abbas' opportunity to keep abusing his citizens. And as usual, they didn't miss the opportunity to miss the opportunity.
7. Oh yeah???? BIG TALK....NO ACTION!
Israeli 2   (07.12.11)
8. What Is Right IS Right!
Robert Blum ,   New York USA   (07.12.11)
Obama has done nothing that reflects American sentiment since the inception of his role as president of the U.S.A. Hehelped to bolster Assad as did Clinton, by referring to Assad as a "reformer", instead of declaring Assad to be the murderer and terrorist that he is, much in the same way he refuses to label Muslim terrorists, "terrorists. American sentiment never mattered to Obama. Only his personal agenda based on his own unsupportable dogma matter to him. Reality and facts of the middle east elude him and he denies the truth, which i9s why he could not respond to the facts or dispute them when he met with Prime Minister Netanyahu recently. Leftists always want to say their skewed, baseless opinions, but refuse to offer the equal right of stating fact & opinion to those who disagree with them; those with substantiating fact and empirical data. What is happening
9. Madame Hillary, I always thought that
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (07.12.11)
Mr. Assad was called a reformer by you and that he was your special darling...? Oh well...
10. The new wild dogs of Africa, Assads
Jeremiah   (07.12.11)
Since when do butchers uphold treaties of any kind, toward anyone.. Brutality is their diplomacy. Two generations of Assads proved to be sufficiant to create a new breed of african wild dogs, fury in full display for the world to witness. The 3rd generation is being bred and schooled in the UK. --- nice place !
11. Message to Assad : You have no worries
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.12.11)
from the US or EU. The best they will ever do is "sanctions". You can contnue your butchery with impunity
12. Another US disaster; it's foreign policy
Juan   (07.12.11)
Madame Clinton, why don't you suggest to your boss Obama to pour another 3-4 billions$ into Egypt bottomless black hole. --- you might get the same results you are getting from Syria
13. #5, who is blinded by hatred of Obama
Danny   (07.12.11)
as opposed to hatred of his complete incompetence. Name one foreign policy success that he has had. Name one case were he has not made things worse
14. Attack on USA embassy
(07.12.11)
This shows how Arabs countries can behave. No respect to International law to protect the embassy.Shame on you
15. #15
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (07.12.11)
I am not a supporter of criminal dictators like Assad, but are you sure you want to invoke "International Law"? Wasn't it Mr. Obama who ordered months of unprovoked and illegal air attacks on Libya, murdering 3 of Gaddafi's infant grandchildren?
16. UPSIDE DOWN, AGAIN
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.12.11)
Gee, what a BIG surprise, as noted by the USA state Department official "Victoria Nuland said it appeared that a government-controlled television statement had instigated the violence,". Why would that be any different than the incident at the Israeli/Syrian border? The Syrians and Assad will do anything to get their actions off the radar. With the kelp of the Iranian Republican Guard they do a great job. Meanwhile the little monkey from Iran is giving speeches to Syria about giving the people more freedom, while at the same time helping the Syrian army kill protesters. Something Iran is excellent at.
17. #13 Danny, I wrote you six
Michael ,   California, USA   (07.12.11)
