It's amazing that the left wing in Israel tend to demonize anyone they disagree with them. The left wing in Israel is controlled and funded by foreign governments and cry at the least little legislation, but are first to condemn anyone who is right of center for their beliefs and call for laws against anyone who is right wing in Israel. Incitement law for example in many ways is very undemocratic since the law has rarely been used against left wing Israelis who were saying similar statements, but these laws have always been used against the right wing. This is unacceptable and undemocratic.
62. To all supporters of the boycott law
Paul ,   Israel   (07.16.11)
Let me put this into context for you - and your poisonous rantings about "the Left", which YOU love to demonize. It is YOU who cannot take criticism and tolerate opinions different to the narrow way you see the world and the conflict - but that has always historically been the case with right wing movements the world over. Your desire to outlaw leftist movements and control the judiciary is reminiscent of darker regimes which in the past was responsible for the genocide of 6 million of our people. Your attempts to intimidate the Supreme Court so as not to disqualify this law as unconstitutional and a blight on our law books, by threatening to pass another terrible law, giving power to the Knesset to veto Supreme Court appointments, is despicable. The next step to shut people up who say things you don't like to hear, is to ban political parties. After that, to allow only one party - YOUR party. So, basically, the road you are walking on while drunk on the political power you hold at the moment, will eventually turn Israel into a one party state - like the USSR, Argentina of the '70s, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Syria etc... Is THAT what you want to see here? Perhaps you would prefer a theocracy? Like Iran, except instead of Ayatollahs, Rabbis?

Luiz F Haddad ,   Brazil   (07.17.11)
Dear Mr. Paul. I fully agree with you. Israel is a Democratic State. She was founded through humanistic ideals. Hence, all ideological intolerance must be erased from her lands. Salute from South America.
66. Boycott law aims to prevent discrimination
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (07.17.11)
Between 1933 until the end of ww2, the Germans established the following laws which were, in effect, boycotts of jews: 11 April 1933 – First Ordinance on the Implementation of the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service[4] 25 April 1933 – Law against the Overcrowding of German Schools and Universities[5] 6 May 1933 – Third Ordinance on the Implementation of the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service[6] 21 January 1935 – Law on the Retirement and Transfer of Professors as a Result of the Reorganization of the German System of Higher Education[7] IS IT ANTIDEMOCRATIC TO RESIST THESE KINDS OF BOYCOTTS?

68. Paul , nobody is silenced
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (07.17.11)
People can freely express their opinions , just look at what the writer and you did . But promoting the boycott of the State should not be allowed , and boycotting the boycotters is a good reaction against this . With all the imperfections , the same as in all democratic States worldwide , our democracy is'nt so bad . The only not democratic rules are those religious ones , imposed on all the citizens .
