1. March till the cows home, Palestine is not in the cards.
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (07.15.11)
2. All future demonstrations by the likes
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.15.11)
should be done in Gaza and that includes the Jewish Left
3. Only hundreds? How pathetic.
Ben Yisrael ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (07.15.11)
4. "Palestine" is nothing.
Ken Quinn ,   Amsterdam   (07.15.11)
5. Hundreds march for Palestine in Jerusalem
AAHRON ,   Jerusalem   (07.15.11)
I was there........... not hundreds but over four thousand......... please write the true story !!
6. Yeah, yeah, yeah...
Andrew Brehm   (07.15.11)
And when push comes to shove, Arabs will refuse to negotiate. Then they'll attack and lose. And then they'll complain that the peace process is not getting anywhere. We have seen this every few years since 1948. Why not send a positive signal for once istead of walking through that circle all the time?
7. "We're marching for a better future" - who's?
William ,   Israel   (07.15.11)
It sure isn't Israel's or even Arabs in Jerusalem neighborhoods. According to the "Palestinian" leadership, even with a State on 1967 lines, Jerusalem as their capital, they will still teach hatred against Jews/Israel, still make obscene demands of Israel, and still hold on to the option of violence. To me, that doesn't sound like a better future for anyone. The issue these pro-"palestinian" supporters refuse to internalize is that true peace comes from both sides that want peace. If Israel's existence is a point of contention, then short of destroying Israel, nothing will appease the Arabs...everyone knows this except their supporters who refuse to believe it. A recent poll showed 73% of "Palestinians" favored Arafat's view - 2-State solution today, and a 1-State Arab solution tomorrow. Their words, not mine.
8. "Better future" by accepting war crimes of the past?
William ,   Israel   (07.15.11)
I'm sorry, but until the true refugee problem of the Jews (800K + generations) and return or compensation for land stolen and ethnically cleansed from Jews in Gaza and WB, there will be no "better future". It is a major crime that must be dealt with. The Arabs claim their "Nakba" where most Arabs left without ever seeing an IDF soldier, but refuse to acknowledge the real ethnic cleansing of Jews (a crime they want to repeat in the new State). Justice for all...not just some.
9. PRETTY FUNNY
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.15.11)
Time will tell whether they are just paying lip service about no violence, right. Seeing is believing. It was a bit humorous to read: "The right step is recognition of a Palestinian state at the UN" How about those 6 words BiBi talked about, they want what they won't give Israel "recognition". Ironic isn't it? Then of course we have this silly remark: "Bibi is not just a peace refusenik but a peace manipulator. " Again 6 words is to much to overcome. The last time Jerusalem was divided there was no freedom of access for all religions, was there? They say that won't happen, they will honor their word, really, Like Lebanon going back on the 2007 Cyprus agreement, The Egyptians wanting to repeal the peace treaty? Hmmm. What agreements have the Pals ever kept?? Whoops!! Don't want to talk about that, do we??
10. 1500 people total is a joke
Mordy   (07.15.11)
A small settlement has more people than that.
11. Hard of Hearing
solomon ,   bklyn   (07.15.11)
They ignore what Abbas has stated (The New Three Noes)- "The Palestinians [1] refuse to halt all demands from Israel once a peace deal is signed, and [2] oppose demands to recognize Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people as well as [3 oppose] to modify their education to cease all enmity towards the state." Those pesty inconvenient truths get in the way.
12. you 1000 retards go live in gaza you dont deserve to live in
(07.15.11)
eretz Israel if you wanna give away our land to those creeps who dont know how to rule any one of their own 22 countries to start trouble in israel man every single one of you is nuts in the coconut.
13. There never will be such a thing as "palestine state".
Keren ,   IL-BR   (07.15.11)
There will never be such a thing because such a thing is simply madness. We do not get along with this people and they do not get along with us.How could ever be a " palestinian state" in our land?? NEVER! If there would be just a little sanity in the world today,in UN,EU and all the rest of this weird institutions,if there would be just a little sanity, they would throw the huge amount of money that they have been throwing down in a bin (or down in 2 or 3 arab individual pockets)and would instead buy lands to these arabs to live and farm (or whatever)among their own in THEIR HUGE LANDS CALLED ARABIA. THESE PEOPLE BELONG TO THEM AND NOT TO US AND OUR ALREADY SO TINY ISRAEL. IS THAT SO DIFFICULT TO GET? Why such a mad talks and talks about squeezing them in our midst with so much land of their own?? Can any sane reasoning explain this?
14. Palestine Is Already Free From British Rule
emanon ,   USA   (07.15.11)
14 May, 1948, Israel achieved independence and British Mandated Palestine reverted back to its historic name, Israel. So what is this march all about? Do these people want to return to being part of the British Empire?
15. They should march in Amman
Frank ,   Canada   (07.15.11)
Send these people to the true Palestine,
16. Palestine is as fictional as Oz and Neverland.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.15.11)
No amount of marching and flag waving will breathe life into fictional Palestine. Palestine is as fictional as Oz and Neverland and the vast majority of Israeli will assure it stays that way forever. If another fictional statehood declaration is made later this year, it will be an even bigger fiasco than the 1988 declaration. After the declaration blows sky high, nobody will ever take Palestine seriously again.
17. Leftist Jews trying to impose their love on Pals
Sam ,   Canada   (07.15.11)
The Palestinians reject the love that Jewish leftists are trying to impose on them. The Palestinians are merely using Jewish leftists as dupes for their cause. A survey in today's Jerusalem Post shows 34% of Palestinians accept Jewish and Palestinian states. That's what Palestinians think about peace and leftist efforts.
18. arafat rejected the most generous offer and slaughtered Jews
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.15.11)
in a senseless infatada, now there are much different facts on the ground and only time will tells what scraps will be left over for the people who chose killing over peace.
19. Jews were barred from East Jerusalem from 48 to 67
Dan Kelso   (07.15.11)
Maybe those fools forget that. Or the fact 56 temples were burned by the Arabs. Only under Israeli rule has Jerusalem been a free city.
20. Oh boy! Hundreds! (Big yawn....)
David ,   Hartford USA   (07.15.11)
I think the PA's '15 Minutes of Fame' is over. Move on, nothing to see here. Let's see, what did their brief moment in the spotlight give the world? 1) Homicide bombers 2) bomb vests 3) underwear bombs 4) Showing us how they indoctrinate their kids to hate, to aspire to jihad and martyrdom against Israel, 5) Graft by their leaders 6) Having their youth sneak into Israeli houses and slaughter sleeping children 7) naming public works after murderers and terrorists. My gosh, it is a long list of things that rational people would prefer to die than to have them attributed to them. But not the PA, no sir. They are proud of what they stand for. And that's why the rest of the civilized world DOES NOT stand with them.
21. Just one word
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (07.15.11)
Just one word to define this people: DELUSIONAL! They don't want to accept after 20 years of failure all the evil that Beilin and Peres brought to Israel with the Oslo process. They remain in the past and feel like they are better that 97% of Israel because they keep chanting politically correct old slogans!
22. As Marx once said, your views depend on where you sit.
Albert ,   France   (07.15.11)
Left- wing jews in israel are deplorable! I remember that during the 70′s UN passed a resolution that Zionism is racism. Left-wing Jews in France, fought it as if they were right wing. For example, Herbet Pagani was a French poet and singer who was very popular in the 70’s. He was a communist jew but also a great supporter of israel. here is what he said back then: "Today, I must be united with all of my people, even those whom I hate, in the name of this insurmountable enemy: RACISM. Descartes was wrong: "I think, therefore I am" doesn’t mean anything. We have been thinking for 5000 years, and we still don’t exist (in the eyes of palestinians, and anti- israel groups)! I defend myself, therefore I am!"
23. Hillel Ben Sasson speaks for Palestinians.
Nora Tel Aviv   (07.15.11)
So, for him it`s 67 borders or nothing. What about recognized borders for a "Jewish" Israel? Noooothing!
24. palestinian state.
sjoerd ruurd ,   world/planet earth   (07.15.11)
this is a good thing. nothing to critize. hopely the people of this march will reach what they want.
25. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A   (07.15.11)
Actually, one of my children was there, too. Fifteen hundred is an exaggeration. Moreover, 95% of the marchers were Arab. Gee, there's a surprise. Ersatz "Palestinians" marching for a non-existent "Palestine" in Eretz Israel. Groucho Marx would have a field day with that one.
26. The saddest thing
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.15.11)
The really pathetic part of this whole episode is that even if an ersatz "Palestinian" state is created, the first thing the ersatz "Palestinians" would do is kick out (or kill) all the Jews. Even the lefties. ESPECIALLY the lefties.
27. The Hate & Inexcusable RACISM of Muslims/Leftists
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (07.15.11)
They condemn Jews for building and not freezing construction on Jewish Holy Land! Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem were NEVER known as an Islamic land. For thousands of years, Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and all Israel were known as the BIBLICAL Jewish Holy Land. The Bible, other books and history all attest to this fact. Stop trying to STEAL the Jewish Holy Land!
28. I was there and it was closer to 2,000 marchers at least
Avi ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.15.11)
29. Jordan is Palestine. End of story.
Ben Yisrael ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (07.15.11)
30. this is all that remains of the left
zionist forever   (07.15.11)
Labor is a spent political force in Israel with Labor for the first time in fourth place behind not just Likud & Kadima but also Yisrael Beitanu. The polls are showing that if an election was held tomorrow Labor would loose even more seats to Likud & YB. Meretz in the 90s were getting 10-11 seats which made them big enough to sit in the coalition and hold senior cabinet postings today they have three. The right wing nationalist party National Union got four seats and they have never even stood before. If the left can't gain any real influence in the Knesset then what options do they have left other than demonstrations? Even then onlyt 1500 turn out, numbers the right wing can easiyn get to turn out and demonstrate against the arabs. In this case not only is it just 1500 but alot of them are arabs which probably puts the number of leftists in the hundreds not 1500. We should be pitying the left considering once they held all the power in this country and now they have been reduced to protestors.
