From now on private Rivkah Stern will be able to pick her 38D or one size fits all ??? ;) ,...
2. I read the article and viewed the
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (07.18.11)
photograph. I often see our young women milling around the Central Bus Station in Jerusalem, always with heavy packs, some with automatic rifles as well. I feel such pride when I see them and when I read an article such as this one about vests. I also feel some sadness given the extent we must go to to insure the independence and security of the little nation. I have two young granddaughters residing in a Yishuv in Gush Etzion. They are also taught to be proud of being Jews and of being part of this little nation. They are also taught that being part of the IDF is an honour. So, in conclusion, thank you Gals for protecting me, my son-in-law and daughter and all my grandchildren as well as the state of Israel.
3. Make them really sexy looking and throw the enemy off guard

5. Women's vests should have pouches for coffee
Kravi Achi ,   Protecting Israel   (07.18.11)
And dishwashing liquid. Women have no place as combat soldiers. My unit would never put up with that. No serious one would.
6. Great pic above
Cameron ,   USA   (07.18.11)
Every holy warrior's worst nightmare right there. And not bad looking either.
7. I'm not clear
feminist ,   Canada   (07.18.11)
Is this lighter vest equally efficient? If so, why not to make the male version lighter too?
8. Heaven forbid any of these women fall into enemy hands
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.18.11)
Given how emotional the Israeli public gets when one of its male soldiers is captured, just imagine what price the enemy will demand for a captured female soldier, knowing how the country feels about these daughters of Israel. As proud as I am about these young women, this is the nightmare.
9. be not yisrael
observer ,   Egypt   (07.19.11)
what if they fall in the enemy hand. The ancient Jewish women would cut their hairs to look ugly in the eyes of the enemy. but what fitting stylish vests would do?

You guys must feel it threatens your manhood. Your unit sounds very insecure. When I find a woman that can shoot as good as I can it makes me happy. I'd rather serve with a good woman than some candy assed man that is afraid to.
11. the vest are uncomfortable for us also.
gidon ,   rishon lezion   (07.19.11)
12. Women having to serve instead of the harideem
Haim ,   TA   (07.19.11)
Well i guess someone has to go serve their country while those lazy parasites sit on their holy arses >

IDF Women are tougher than Arab army male. Kol HaKovod to them, may G-d bless them.
14. #5. you are a joke and a pathetic excuse for a soldier
ari ,   israel   (07.19.11)
my sister (combat soldier) could drop you in a heartbeat.
15. #10: I wouldn't be surprised if #5 is religious
(07.19.11)
We in Israel have a real problem with religious soldiers who become more and more primitive with time. You know, They won't even hear women sing in military ceremonies and just leave the room. #5 comment fits the primitive mind set of these religious Israelis.
16. To #7 It's simple difference in size
John ,   Alaska   (07.19.11)
Weight changes dramatically in comparison to change in volume or size. A comparatively small change in the size of the garment to fit a smaller frame would yield a larger change in weight.
17. Women should never be in a combat unit.
Safta ,   Israel   (07.19.11)
Never mind equal rights..if G-D forbid a female soldier is captured by the arabs, just imagine what they would do and how they would celebrate.
18. Haim Tel Aviv
David ,   Haifa, Israel   (07.19.11)
Question my left wing coward.... which city has the highest draft dodging rate in Israel? Would you like to guess??!! TEL AVIV!!! You are another left wing coward... draft dodger probably as well. RIGHT "HAIM?!!" You hate yourself so much you spell you name HAIM... or is it MOHAMMAD!!?? GO LIVE IN GAZA!!!
19. To #8 and #9
John ,   Alaska   (07.19.11)
Be assured, Raymond. And be warned, "observer". Defile _one_ of their sisters, and the sons of Jacob will adopt a tactic of _wholesale slaughter_. The opinion of their neighbors will be far down on their list of priorities. Avenging their sister will be at the top. The modern choice would likely be saturation bombing. But whatever course of action they adopt, it will not be pretty.

in Judaism, there is only one or two verses to recite in time of illness, but there are hundred verses to recite on revenge.
21. women must stay out
women must stay out ,   is   (07.19.11)
women must stay out of war they are so gentle to carry weapons they are flowers do not let the army assasin their beauty
22. I'm with 11 on this one.
DonnyH ,   Israel   (07.19.11)
The woman's vest sounds new and improved to me. Shouldn't they develop a modern male one to? If technology is our advantage in warfare, we should give our soldiers as many advantages as possible.
23. also for us guys those vests arn't that comfy....
sensible guy   (07.19.11)
i was quite slim whilst i was serving, i got chaffed all over, only when i entered the pluga and received a custom vest was i happy !
24. women in service
observer ,   Egypt   (07.19.11)
in 1967, they took off the uniform and put on swimming suits on the shore of the Suez canal. Imagine men soldiers in Islamic state staring at the white EU meat!, they carried automatic rifles to guard POWs, not because of the shortage of men soldiers but for humiliating. Vannunu was enticed by pretty woman agent of Mossad and Rabbis said that was great valor.

They don't need to cut their hair to make the point...Its already clear to anyone with a good vision...
