Jules   (07.20.11)
OK. So investigation of organizations that provided slanderous information and IDF soldiers' personal details to the Goldstone commission is "horrifying notion". Anyone to vote Kadima next time ?
2. Bolshevik leftists must be eradicated! The leftists are Marx!
David ,   Washington   (07.20.11)
3. Its good to know where the money comes from...
(07.20.11)
...and where it ends up. Transparency. That's what these people fear. People who dont like transparency usually have something to hide.
4. #1 Jules and voting for Kadima
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.20.11)
if this and the other fascist bills in the pipeline go through, there will be no point in voting for anybody
5. These groups need to define criticism vs. delegitimization
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (07.20.11)
These groups need to define stifling of criticism vs. delegitimization. The line is not so fine nor is the criticism a problem. But the efforts to bring every action of self defense, upholding the law, or security under scrutiny as a crime against humanity or war crime goes well beyond the level of acceptable criticism. No other country in the world has to face this type of criticism in its daily quest to survive.
6. Investigate
John Cone ,   USA   (07.20.11)
Many of these left wing groups are funded by foreign governments principally the United States, United Kingdom, and other EU countries. In my opinion Foreign government funding for the sole purposes of changing government policy in a democratic country is not democracy but espionage. It is no different than the CIA funding many organizations, the press, labor unions, politicians, and opposition groups to overthrow countries in South America during the 60s and 70s for example Chile. This brings up a major question that is why is it that some Israeli politicians and many of the left-wing groups are so scared of this law? In my opinion Maybe that question should be answered and investigated.
7. "Show me the money ," WHERE IT COMES FROM that is.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (07.20.11)
hezbullah and iran have no business funding causes in Israel and the left would take their money gladly.
8. For the sake of Israel.....
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (07.20.11)
I hope the the members of the Knesset have the courage to approve this proposal.
9. Every country has the right to check
Yossef   (07.20.11)
the way any organization on its soil is financed. It's not anti-democratic, the opposite !
10. Ha.
sasha ,   Bilbao   (07.20.11)
The were not able to pass civil mariage law, nor Shabat traffic law, nor to write up the constitution. Now they are found a concensus to push forward some strange laws. There are enough ñaws to probe anybody for ilicit activity, including both left and right. Please, stop the russians!
11. external funding to groups is antidemocratic
Lemmings Hotline ,   sd usa   (07.20.11)
When any group receives massive funding from entities trying to overthrow the state, it gives a minority opinion a megaphone from which to spew slander against the state. This is an unfair advantage in a democratic system because it makes a few people sound like the majority opinion, eg they have their opinions represented in media way beyond their representatiion, they are able to lobby their opinions in the knesset more than their political rivals. They, in fact, become our own enemies represented in the Knesset.
12. What's good for Israel
Miriam ,   Jerusalem   (07.20.11)
can be measured by how obsessed and terrified the Left shows itself to be in the Media and through their scare tactic comments.
13. Transparency is different from this bill
Jacob Blues ,   New York City, USA   (07.20.11)
As poster #3 stated, its good to know where the money comes from. Sunlight is a good antiseptic and Israelis deserve to know where the money that impacts its government and political system are comeing from. That said, the bill apparently is focusing on only one side of the political aisle. That, doesn't smell like an issue of good-government and transparency. It has the markings of a politically motivated investigation. That's more along the lines of a witch hunt, not a search for funding legitimacy.
14. good use of energy
daze ,   US   (07.20.11)
#4, Good, don't vote, and while you are at it tell the arabs not to vote. With the Knesset hopefully going to stand on it's own two feet for a change, you and your shrinking minions should just keep shrinking. #10, Knesset is changing, and some well needed laws will be enacted. Bilbao huh? Basque land. Instead of making wothless outsider comments about Israel why don't you protest to the spanish gov on behalf of the Basques, they at least have a valid claim to that region
15. I would like to know who is funding this fascist left !
rachel ,   usa   (07.20.11)
In the US or in Israel .
16. "Let's get it on"...
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.20.11)
17. FACTS
Gábor Fränkl   (07.20.11)
It's an open secret and documented evidence that hostile, institutionally anti-Israel, actively pro-Arab countries in the West try to sabotage Israeli democracy. The 4 already revealed states are: Britain (directly financing or having financed Peace Now and Breaking the Silence in the not too distant past), Switzerland, Sweden and with one exception which is not anti-Israel, Holland, whose Foreign Minister is on record to recvtify this unacceptable and grossly inappropriate situation. The extremist, pro-terror Left is afraid and those who defend them are oonly implicit in these crimes.
18. Jacob from N.Y.C. - Reply
Gábor Fränkl   (07.20.11)
Jacob, try rational thought. The simple, logical reason 4 this is the sheer fact that *only*, I repeat, ONLY far-Leftist groups engage in subversion, quasi-espionage and political persecution of the Tzahal etc. You won't find 1 single rightist among them. Hence the selection. Eminently reasonable. And to highlight the disgusting collusion of the Israeli MSM, including this webportal in all this, I let you in to a tiny, itsy-bitsy secret, which until an hour ago I myself was unaware of. Im Tirtzu sent me their newslatter. It turns out that the group protested in Greece with a boat, no less as well as at BGA against the pro-Hamas folitillistas and flightillistas. The Israeli MSM rejected to cover them precisely ebcause of their fear that if the public sees their big pro-gilad Shalit transparents and banners then it MAY raise their profile and possible support. Thus, the pro-Leftist anti-Israeli MSM, Ynet incl. chose to hide the story altogether. What does this make them, Jacob?
19. #12 Miriam
Michael ,   Haifa   (07.20.11)
Just to remind you that just about 80 years ago, the Left in Germany, Italy and Spain were also terrified...First they passed laws against them and then they killed them (and please no BS about the Soviet Union...they were just the same as the abovementioned fascists who all over the world have no scruples about being violent)
20. Bibi is showing his spinelessness
Rachel ,   US   (07.20.11)
He should demand where the left gets its money to try to bring down the government.
21. Remember Kadima's far left stance in next election.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.20.11)
Once again, Kadima, which pretends to be centrist, stands with the far left Labor and Meretz Parties. Parties which Israelis are voting into oblivion. Kadima, and Livni in particular, oppose yet another patriotic bill which is clearly in Israel's interest. Remember Kadima's loathsome far left stance in the next election. Give it the same fate as Labor and Meretz. For that is what Kadima deserves.
22. why Livni is so afraid about probes...?
(07.20.11)
23. the Leftist oligarchy strikes again !
(07.20.11)
24. Netanyahou is a leftist
(07.20.11)
25. They better pass it.
Israeli 2   (07.20.11)
26. Arrest MK Ahmad Tibi
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.20.11)
If his racist comments are not incitement then the term has no meaning at all. As for our leftist judges - they need to impeached for malfeasance and the system reformed so that judges have no same in the appoint or promotion of other judges.
