1. Nope.
Jules   (07.21.11)
Lieberman's goal was to initiate investigation that, if NOT conducted, would greatly undermine the IDF's ability to fight in case if Israel becomes the subject of an aggression from her kind neighbor(s). A soldier cannot be motivated to fight for the country if he knows that tomorrow he might be betrayed by some "NGO".
2. Notice there's no mention of Kadima.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (07.21.11)
The country is moving to the Right while Livni is dragging Kadima Left. Kadima will lose seats in the Knesset. Likud will pick up a few seats, Lieberman will pick up seats Meretz & Labour, for all intents & purposes, no longer exist. Shas is Shas, What Mr Barnea does not want to acknowledge is that Likud is really a Centrist party, the mainstream while Lieberman is only slightly to the right of Likud. It is Kadima that is out of step, no longer a mainstream party but rapidly becoming a left=-wing fringe party, replacing the defunct Labour Party..
3. A terribly written article - drafted on a napkin in a cafe
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (07.21.11)
I couldn't read the whole article. Paragraph 2 starts with .. This is the prevalent estimate these days around the government table.. What is? Paragraph one looks at two possible agendas. And the subsidy stuff is just nonsense. Nobody is going to subsidize TA apartments. People that can't afford to live in TA will have to live elsewhere. And people that study or work in TA will have to travel in and out. The idea that accommodation in TA will be subsidized is simply a far leftist dream sketched in the foam of a cappuccino. Nahum Barnea was never to my liking, but at least he used to proof read his articles before submitting them.
4. Agree with #2 100%
Moshe ,   Netanya   (07.21.11)
Livni wants to get all the left-wing voters:Meretz, Labor, Baraks group, even may be some Arabs.
5. Kadima has already lost big for next election
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (07.21.11)
Kadima has suffered under Livni in a schizophrenic start stop that will cost them more votes than they realize and may cost them members / MKs before the next election. Look at the anti-boycott law. It was co-written and submitted by multiple Kadima MKs, but Livni decided at the last min. to have them pull their names (already printed) and then forced them to vote against it. She even publicly took to task 2 MKs that did not attend the vote rather than vote against their own proposal. Livni is showing that Kadima not only has no coherent platform, that it will not stand up and support its own people. This is the same reason that Livni is not PM even though Kadima won the most seats - people trust her even less than they trust Bibi.
6. Pardon my ignorance but.....
Moragh   (07.21.11)
what does NGO mean?
7. #6 Moragh - what an NGO is
CK Tan ,   SIngapore, Singapore   (07.22.11)
No need to be apologetic :-) NGO stands for non-governmental organisation. Basically, such an organisation is not related to the government even if its main objective is to review, analyse and provide feedback on government's policies, etc. An NGO generally operates as a not-for-profit organisation.
8. Decimate Kadima. Put Labor, Meretz out of their misery.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.22.11)
When the next election arrives, I hope Israelis, who are becoming ever more patriotic and religious, will take advantage of a golden opportunity to decimate vile Kadima. It's time to send these poseurs packing. Kadima stands for nothing except corruption and appeasement. It backs patriotic bills and than forces it's member to vote against them. It pretends to be centrist but is as far left as Labor and Meretz. Our goal for the next election should be to decimate Kadima and put Labor and Meretz out of their misery.
9. Election season underway
David azulay ,   Ramat Hasharon   (09.09.11)
The person who is causing the most damage to Israel is not Lieberman, but the attorney general Weinstein who does not bring lieberman's case to court, he would have saved the country a lot of trouble! Yet, no one seems to care, the media is completely mum about it, it is as guilty as Weinstein
