As an ole hadash myself I find these people really heart-warming , pure and beautiful jewish souls.This is real aliya compared to the fake aliya from some other countries.

many Israeli Jews about the motivations of Americans making Aliyah. It is roughly equivalent to the expressed hatred for the generation of Russian Jews entering Israel in the 1980s and 90s or the secular vis a vis the Chassidim and vice-versa. For me, the birth of a Jew is a reason to celbrate. The Western world wanted to wipe us out; they wanted to exterminate us. The birth of each and every Jewish child is a symbol of our survival against incredible odds and a concrete manifestation of our revenge upon this unkind world. Jews, Posters, please be kinder to, and more generous with, one another. We have enough enemies who would exterminate us if they could; let us not be our own worst enemies.

So free education is not free as its paid through taxes - True. However, we can not have free jewish education paid by our own tax dollars and those of us who want our children growing up knowledgeable about jewish history, religion, etc are willing to move to Israel and pay Israeli taxes for free religious education! Thats the difference. I would also like to add that many of us have ahavas yisroel and truly support the land of israel while living in diaspora. When we finally make Aliya, its one of the contributing factor but not the ONLY factor.
