1. Idiotic self-censorship!
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (07.25.11)
What can possibly be the aim of the reporter censoring his own story by omitting the name of the Likud MK who criticised Bibi? ....unless the story is not true....
2. Cry babies at it again...
marlene ,   Philadelphia, USA   (07.25.11)
Every leader (authority) is G-d ordained. You don't have to agree with him, but not to support him reflects poorly on YOU!
3. This is true
Rachel ,   US   (07.25.11)
Bibi would rather postpone making a decision or farm it off to a "committee." He has his moments of standing up but only when his job is at stake. He does not have the strength and conviction of Begin or Shamir. Not even close.
4. Don't you people wish...
(07.25.11)
You had some one like Nasrallah as a leader?
5. Who was this senior Likud minister that said this?
JayJay ,   Israel   (07.25.11)
6. If the people don't have cottage cheese...
Billionaire Bob ,   Ra'anana   (07.25.11)
why don't they eat Port Salut? I just don't understand.
7. Now there is talk of canceling Knesset recess?
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (07.25.11)
With the multiple crisis going on (cheese boycott, Dr. strike, Housing, PA UN Statehood bid, etc.) only now Rivlin is considering canceling the Knesset recess until October?
8. Bibi not a true leader !
Alice ,   Montreal, Canada   (07.25.11)
Replace Bibi by Katzele. But, please, not by Livni the opportunist.
9. Amateurs...
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (07.25.11)
This is what happens when you have amateurs running a country. Maybe Israeli's should take part in the Arab Spring.
10. Need housing?west bank market is growing!
Fisherman ,   At the dead sea   (07.25.11)
11. Is this article a joke or what?
George ,   Ashdod   (07.25.11)
Let see...the lead article is about an unnamed Likud MK and details the chants of some 800 protestors. Bibi is the best leader Israel has had in years--and no amount of media fabrication will make it otherwise.
12. Bibi sent Steinitz to "defend" him tonight on Channel 2 News
David ,   Israel   (07.25.11)
Bibi is too scared to appear on TV and allow economists to ask him real questions. Yonit Levi allowed Minister Steinitz to BS the people. Steinitz kept on harping on the situation in the USA and Europe. Israel is not the USA and not Europe! its time for MR Public Relations Netanyahu to be told that you can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people some of the time but YOU CANNOT FOOL ALL THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME! All Netanyahu cares about are himself, his rich cronies and his supporters in Judea and Samaria!
13. Absolutely correct ! A person whom tries
DT ,   TA Israel   (07.25.11)
to be all things to all men is never a leader .
14. Leader?
Moshe ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (07.25.11)
Netanyahu has always put his finger to the wind. Which ever way it is blowing, he blows. That's why he takes numerous positions on every tough issue. (e.g. He was for the Gaza pullout before he was against it!) All he wants is to stay in power, not lead our country.
15. #5 Jay Jay
Rachel ,   US   (07.25.11)
According to another website, I believe it was Michael Eitan.
16. Ah, the arrogance of youth
Cameron ,   USA   (07.25.11)
Young & broke in the big city? Welcome to adulthood. Buck up! You will make due as we did before you.
17. marlene from usa you are a crazy person
nofar ,   ashdod   (07.25.11)
no leader is god we don't have to support anyone if we don't want to you want to think of a leader as god? go to iran ! bibi should act like a real leader and help with house crisis instead of talking bullshit to calm the protest sorry for my english.
18. #12. You forget. Israeli left is being voted to oblivion.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.26.11)
#12. You claim Bibi represents the rich and a tiny minority of Israel. You forget Israeli polls and elections. The Israeli left is being voted to oblivion. Bibi's economic policies have enabled Israel to avoid the harsh recessions experienced by most Western nations. Moreover, the vast majority of Israel supports retaining Judea and Samaria - nearly 80% of Israeli Jews, according to recent polls.
19. An honest beginning gives way to
FG   (07.26.11)
a manipulated, fabricated cause that the farleft captured for itself. And reporters assist in this nefarious bid.
20. Red Flag. A RED FLAG????
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (07.26.11)
If this is not a case of photographs of an impromptu Flash Mob street production of Les Miz; something is very wrong. A number of Wanker socialists blocking streets a la the old Feiglin style annoyance of the people who actually work and pay the bills will NOT gather sympathy. Calling for the expenditure of OPM (other people's money) to cover their expenses is a non starter Parading with their Zippy the Kadimacrat Charwoman (obvious in it's gimmie the PM reins) approved signage, does not signal a true national problem; but a parasitic one. It is the gasping and farting of a lazy metropolitan-cosmopolitan population of Rachov Ibn Gvriol; Tel Aviv coffee shop commandos, who just love, LOVE for someone else to pay their way. Social justice indeed. So. These Jean ValJeans do their stage walk foward and back going nowhere at the speed of the left, and at the cost of the reputation of the country. Socialists. Has it ever worked? Anywhere? EVER? The question hs been put. Answers? What's that I hear? Crickets?
21. Bibi will be praised for coalition's survival. Barak failed.
Michael ,   California, USA   (07.26.11)
22. Uninformed question from an outsider
John ,   Alaska   (07.26.11)
If Judea and Samaria were annexed and effectively unlimited housing were provided for Israelis, would that have a beneficial effect on taxes coming into the state, enabling more equitable pay for medical workers?
23. What a tragedy!
David M.   (07.26.11)
Some young people cannot afford to live in central Tel Aviv. Do the Israelis think that young people are being handed penthouses in Manhattan or London? They are completely spoiled. Let them work harder and party less and they will be able to afford more. The whole charade is manipulated by the Left to try to undermine the current government since the Left cannot win at ballot box. Tough luck! It's a miracle and a credit to the current leadership that Israel is not experiencing economic difficulties like the US or European countries.
24. But they still want Sunday as a day off
(07.26.11)
25. Easy to Imagine
David Fakheri ,   Los Angles   (07.26.11)
It is easy to Imagine that there are countries which their interests require to create the same situation as there are now in " Egypt, Syria, Libya and ... " in Israel too!.
26. Don't make me laugh. Political BS.
Mark ,   J-lem   (07.26.11)
1000 people protesting. They DO not represent the majority. And slogans like 'People demand social justice' are clearly political BS. Leftists, Rightist politician, Black Panters (lol) don't make me laugh. If people would really wanted Bibi resignment you would have had hundreds of thousands on the streets. So far he is in power and rightfully I might add. It is funny to see politicians who want to exploit the situation and gain some points from it. Kind of makes you see who really "doing something for people of Israel". And for whom I will never vote.
27. Netanyahu, not a true leader
howard singer ,   pittsburgh   (07.26.11)
I believe that you fantasize a senior Likud minister saying that Netanyahu is not a true leader. I believe that such a person does not exist and that you are lying in claiming otherwise. It is because I no longer trust you that I have switched to Israel Hayom for trustworthy news.
28. What's better, what's worse?
Alexandre Chinovich   (07.26.11)
Yes, Bibi is an indecisive man. It seems better to have a bulldozer-like leader. But our recent experience does not confirm it. We all remember such a doubtless bulldozer that destroyed his own party and set the south of the country under qassams. I prefer to have an accountable PM, capable to hear other opinions.
29. lack of a name gives the article no credibility
(07.26.11)
in the era of instant gratification, people have to realize that some problems require time to correct. the protesters are not being ignored, if anyone can come up with a workable solution it is netanyahu, but the solution is not as fast as the click of a button.
30. #22 Alaska
Arik ,   Israel   (07.26.11)
Israel doesn't need to annex Judea and Samaria. It has PLENTY of land right now in the center of the country. The problem is not availability of land per se it is government control of ALL the land that would or could be available. The government of Israel intentionally inflated the costs of real estate as a means of boosting the overall economy and increasing tax revenues. As always though, they never know when to ease up on the gas pedal when things are going good until it is too late. The balloon is tightly filled and now everyone is trying to figure out how to let the air seep out slowly without bursting.
