kayla ,   texas   (07.27.11)
and I absolutely LOVE it. Everyone asks me "isn't it dangerous" I tell them, I never once felt threatened. - The world is missing out on Israeli culture and the beauty of the land & its people due to media tearing down her image. I hope more people in the world open their eyes and see her beauty! -- Don't give up Israel, there ARE people here who stand with you :o)
3. Remeber Humpty Dumpty
Cynic #2   (07.27.11)
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall; Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the King's horses And all the King's men Couldn't put Humpty together again!
4. isnt it great
oferdesade ,   israel   (07.27.11)
how you can have an eternal PR problem - you get to spend so much of the taxpayers money on PR firms and maybe get something back in return, tho it's rarely to do with pR
5.  public relations
Niss ,   uk   (07.27.11)
About time. When there is a conference in universities campuses or anywhere including media against Israel or jewish people there should be people to challenge the speakers who spread lies and ask them and shame them if they saw it themselves or that they are saying things which pro palestinians or anti jewish people tell them to say. They should tell them about all the other interesting things in Israel about culinary and fashion, agriculture, innovations,high-tech and medicen – they'll see us differently and point out what Israel and jewish people gave and give the world and what does the other side give.Israel spends billions of dollars on arms they should spend also to promate thier image.
6. Should've done this a long time ago
Mike A ,   Boston, USA   (07.27.11)
This is EXACTLY what Israel needs. Better late than never, I guess. Though, I have to say that 3 days is nowhere near enough to absorb it all...
7. It's the occupation, stupid
Ahem ,   Tel Aviv   (07.27.11)
8. I love Israel
Robert ,   Romania   (07.27.11)
While many people are anti-Israel because of ideology or European and left-wing media bias, I have to say I LOVE the country and I am going there to spend my vacation money whenever I can. I also buy Israeli products whenever I find them... This without being either Jewish or Evangelical...
9. OUR national history - has been sitting in THEIR churches..
Andrew ,   Miami,FL   (07.27.11)
OUR national history - has been sitting in THEIR churches for 1800 years - its called the bible - at some point they will put 2+2 together - perhaps THAT is the best PR campaign..
10. A waste of time and money,...
split ,   US   (07.27.11)
Take it from a pro with over 30 years of an experience in retail visual hasbara on two continents. There's a thin line between an effective PR and BS that turns the red light on in six pack Joe's "attic" - You can spin your crap anyway you like but it's still a crap and your conduct , stupid ,...
11. I love you Israel!!!! can you send me some Humos???
Lauren ,   AZ, USA   (07.27.11)
12. #9 is an example
(07.27.11)
of why Israel needs to rely on professional PR experts rather than amateurs
13. Money thrown out the window
Baruch ,   Paris, France   (07.28.11)
Nonsense! It's a waste of money. With very few exceptions, the only people (and not all of them by far) who will go along with "My Israel, right or wrong" are the Jews of the Diaspora. Under the current Israeli government, there is no way that Israel can present an overall positive image to the outside world. It's an awful situation but as long as neither Bibi nor the PA change their mindsets, all Israel can do is sit tight and hope there won't be another war. And, as Golda Mëir said: "I prefer to receive your condemnations than your condoleances."
14. the worls knows that Israeli products
Iranian Jew ,   LA   (07.28.11)
are godd and superior. They just can't openly admit it. Help the business to export more!!
15. 13 right on the money.
David   (07.28.11)
Like anything else Israel is behind the times except its high tech. PR or hasbara is antiquated term. in the world of cell phones, social media and the internet people get the truth without mediators, waste of time and money.
16. worth a try
Millie ,   Colorado, USA   (07.28.11)
It was only the past year that I began researching what really happened in the Mideast over the past 100+ years because Israel was getting so much negative press. My conclusion is that Israel is getting a bum rap. It seems the Arab propagandists & leftist media & academia have been very effective in presenting a twisted account of events. I'm very pleased Israel is finally going to try to correct their public image & can only hope their actual history becomes a part of that. It's about time! Hope it's effective. oh yes, I am neither Jewish nor evangelical but I support Israel 100% & always have.
17. Good job, David Saranga
Susya Bar Dror ,   IL   (07.28.11)
A bit late, should have happened years ago. If possible repeat it annually and or with video conferences. Last but not least, I consider "Hasbara" a failure. And get rid of Lieberman.
18. #10;split, AND HYPOCRISY
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (07.28.11)
As usual you condemn any defense Israel might take and label it. As if that ends the argument. First the Arabs have been doing this for decades. The PLO and Arafat had a PR firm in New York. One of their jobs was to issue a statement of regret and denial after every terrorist attack. So they would issue their regret, their disapproval of violence and Arafat condolences to the families of the dead and injured. BFD. Recently (about 3 weeks ago) a story broke about Libya hiring a PR firm to improve their image, Libya hired a group called "The Monitor" the same PR firm Jordan uses. I went to the website of the group, and it verified that Jordan and Libya were their clients. So it begs the question why is OK when Arab countries do it...and they have been, for over 25 years...but when Israel does it you denigrate it? Save the crap, we all know why you selectively attack only one country. Your right there is a thin line between BS and effective PR. Your the BS, right?
