31. We should refuse this aid...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (07.28.11)
Its a shame that we have become a nation that lives on foreign aid. By the way, Somalia and Afghanistan receive U.S "aid" too... We should call it by what it really is CHARITY...
32. it doesn't create real jobs
Buzzy B ,   U.S.A.   (07.28.11)
its makes about as much sense as getting US taxpayers to pay farmers to produce milk and pour it down the sink. It does not create real jobs. It dampens growth in one area in order to artificially stimulate growth elsewhere. I'm not against the aid but lets be realistic about it. If it was good for the US economy then giving twice as much aid would be twice as good.
33. 27 but Boeing and Northrop have no right to the money
Buzzy B ,   U.S.A.   (07.28.11)
the jobs at Boeing and Northrop are stolen from elsewhere in the economy. The taxpayer is the one being fleeced and Boeing and Northrop are the thieves as you correctly point out.

You people have become what we refer to in Lebanon as 'SHAHHAD MSHARET' which means a beggar imposing conditions... You should be grateful by U.S charity instead of criticizing President Obama. Without Obama's charity, you people would not even exist...

Britain has only just finished paying back America for the lend-lease armaments sent to Britain in WW2. Given the tiny size of Israel's economy its not realistic to expect it to pay back the USA like Britain did and I'm not against Israel getting a hand-out but lets be honest about what it is. It is aid courtesy of US taxpayers. btw..not sure if you're joking but if not... I seriously doubt that American companies like Boeing and Northrop would be happy to share technology with their competitors in the UK and France! I suspect you are talking through a hole in your head, sir...
36. Not bad for a "anti-Israel" administration.

Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (07.28.11)
We put our money where our mouths are. Perhaps you should have gotten a clue when Congress kept giving Bibi 29 standing ovations?? I know several people who've commented to me "I wish we had a president like Bibi ". So, eat my shorts, and call it delicious. Bonehead.
38. Hot Doggies!!
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (07.28.11)
The best thing America has done in years, showing financial support for our most trusted ally, Israel. One great reason America is great is because she blesses the Jew. May G-d bless and protect America and help US too, by changing the administration next election.
39. If the Brits and France and Europeans were smart
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (07.28.11)
they'd end anti semitism and move forward towards the future, one that accepts the Jew as a valued citizen. They've proved more deadly to Jews than almost any group of people going, that's why they are languishing about, paying other debtor nations bills. They haven't learned a thing about what's of value and what isn't. Their future is not looking good for they defeat themselves and their democracies ( I use that word loosely ) by catering to those, who would in a minute, remove their elected leaders for Sharia law. It's coming folks, the barbarians are in your gates. Investing in Israel is besides the right thing to do, is quite a value to America, why? Israeli's have better more brilliant brains.
40. Since Israel is a member of the OECD
seadog1946 ,   Arthur Kill, NJ   (07.28.11)
and therefore is quite capable of sustaining it's own economy, it's understandable that the US is terminating it's loan guarantee program to Israel at the end of this year. With the state of the US economy, and it's credit rating in jeopardy, world banks will look askance at the US as a guarantor. Israel will still be able to borrow from world banks but at a higher interest rate.
41. #35 Buzzy B - go RE-READ your post
CK Tan ,   Singapore, Singapore   (07.28.11)
My SILLY reply was to match your SARCASTIC post. No one in his RIGHT mind can deny that Israel gets US aid. But it is also a FACT that 75% of that aid MUST be spent on US-made military equipment. This in turn SUPPORT and maintain American OWN defense and industrial companies that EMPLOY tax-payers. US also obliges Israel to be its STRATEGIC location for its arms and other SUPPLIES for the region. On top of that, Israel is required to SHARE its own technical know-how and INTEL with the US. The latter two points were made by a member of the House committees on US military and foreign aid to HIGHLIGHT that the assistance to Israel is a TWO-WAY street. So when you INTENTIONALLY describe the aid as a HANDOUT, it is obvious you are ILL-INFORMED.
42. US Aid should be rejected
Brod ,   USA   (07.28.11)
Israel should reject such aid that compromises its sovereignty and independence. Furthermore, under Obama the AntiSemite, America is in the hole piled up by trillions of dollars in national debt. America is paying the price for electing a person from nowhere without any executive experience to become President.
43. End aid to Israel? No problem. Only..
jgarbuz ,   Queens, NY   (07.28.11)
end aid to all the Muslim countries who hate Israel as well, from Morocco to Pakistan. End aid to all those countries who are opposed to Israel's right to exist. No problem. And curtail arms sales to ISrael's enemies, like Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt as well. If the US wants to become neutral, then fine. But become 100% neutral, and don't give or sell arms to any involved in this conflict. Then Israel can take care of itself by itself.
44. France to build Israeli Herons under license.
jgarbuz ,   Queens, NY   (07.28.11)
For the first time since 1967, France has a major arms deal with Israel. It will be building the Israeli Heron TP UAV under license. And Russia also is buying ISraeli UAV's. India is a big purchaser of Israeli arms. The US is not being totally charitable. It gets its money's worth back in Israeli innovations that also help the US military.
45. Buzzy B. on the money
Esthephan ,   New Mexico   (07.28.11)
@32 Good God Buzzy B. you on the money, I couldn't have said it better, you got some smarts in that brain. thanks
46. To #25 the most apparent answer
John ,   Alaska   (07.28.11)
is that the anti-Semitism, already extant but inflamed by the Islamic colonists in both countries, would prevent them from doing business with Israel, even if it would materially benefit both countries.
47. to nr. 31.
cosmopolitist ,   our world/planet   (07.31.11)
in this case you are right at my opinion. this is a situation of charity and of dependence. every state/country/people tries/wants to be/to remain free, independant and sovereign, with the right of self-determination on it"s own territory.
48. Aid to Israel
Jane Doe ,   Trinidad USA   (08.01.11)
IT is not right that a country USA keeps giving to Israel who sells there technology to China. The Parasite is killing its host. AIPAC and other Israeli lobbiests dont care that Americans are starving no as long as they cater to the Israeli Zionist machine is all that counts.
49. Foreign Aid to Israel
ronb28135 ,   Warren, MI   (08.17.11)
End all foreign aid to Israel now. Israel hasn't needed our help in years. With a gross domestic product of over 200 billion dollars Israel can afford to pay for her own defense. We can use the money here to provide Americans with jobs.
50. US air to Israel
Michael ,   Washington, USA   (10.02.11)
This man has got it absolutely wrong. Israel is the only country that can and does use US aid money inside Israel. All other USA aid receipiants must use US $ in the US. This reader has got it completely wrong.
51. 3 Billion is nothing
forrest ,   doulan   (12.01.11)
Nothing to this country considering the liability incurred by our ongoing support of Israel. Guess what? They are the only recipient of U.S funds not required to account for it. They can spend the money on building settlemets in the West Bank as we have asked them not to do. Or whatever they'd like that does nothing but comprise the way we are perceived in the Middle East and the rest of the world.
52. #4 Lets me completely candid
William S ,   USA   (09.12.12)
Your right, under the FML for Israel they do purchase military hardward from the US. However, you forgot to mention the 4 billion that the US agreed to purchase in military hardward from Israel. DId Israel give the US the 4 Bilion to make those purchases. Uh......No So you get 3 billion of US military hardward and 4 billion for your economy. That deal seems a bit lopsided.
