1. What has Livni ever done good for Israel?.
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.29.11)
I challenge any reader to find anything Livni has ever done, in her public life, which is good for Israel. Her stint as Foreign Minister was an unmitigated disaster. She is still proud of her disastrous cease fire with Hizbullah, which cost Israel victory in Lebanon. She disgraces us at Annapolis. She tried to divide Jerusalem. She shills for Obama, the most hostile U.S. President Israel has ever faced. She sides with Israel's enemies against Israel and her government. Livni poses an extreme danger to Israel.
2. The more she yaps, he more she loses votes
Eyal ,   USA/ISRAEL   (07.29.11)
I can't stand her already
3. LIvni's Interests = Livni
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (07.29.11)
4. Headline is unfair
William ,   Israel   (07.29.11)
The Israeli opposition absolutely has a cause.... to bring the downfall of the Bibi government. That's it. They have no social issues, no new ideas, no will to compromise for the betterment of the State. They only want the seats they lost.
5. She's Bibi's insurance policy
Rachelr ,   US   (07.29.11)
As long as she's the alternative, his government will not fall.
6. #1 Livni
M.J. Eizen ,   Petah Tikvah, Israel   (07.29.11)
Post #1 hits the nail on the head. Livni is worthless, and the Israeli public knows it. She, along with Olmert failed the people during the 2006 war. Livni is all about...well, Livni. She will never be the PM. The woman has neither honor or integrity.
7. Thanks for writing out what I was thinking!
VK ,   Jerusalem   (07.29.11)
8. Who is Livni's constituancy?
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (07.29.11)
Here's a hint - it's not Israel. Livni, unfortunately like many of our politicians, represents the ''international community'' meaning the EU & especially, the Obama administration. She sees her role as their representative. Out of thwarted ambition & sheer opportunism, Livni would sell us out for political advantage. That's what she did in the Olmert government. That's her ''program'' in opposition. She's a has-been trying desperately for a comeback. What a loser.
9. @ 8
Citizen Joseph.   (07.29.11)
Now clear that you are employed by Yisrael Beiteinu

E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya   (07.29.11)
except this from William, no. 4 " The Israeli opposition absolutely has a cause.... to bring the downfall of the Bibi government. That's it. They have no social issues, no new ideas, no will to compromise for the betterment of the State." They do have a "social issue" if you can call it that--to call mindlessly for the government to fund everything under the sun, relieve all hardships, and solve all problems, without a word or a thought as to what it might mean if the government just pays for everything, and where it's supposed to get the money from (i.e., us). Add kneejerk mindless Marxism to the miserable Israeli "opposition"'s litany.
11. A total failure she is
Sara Meir ,   Petach Tikva   (07.29.11)
She is an impotant politician. never achieved a thing besides getting elected just because she is a woman. Total failure.
12. And let's not forget her Mossad work!
Ben Yisrael ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (07.29.11)
She kept an apartment in Paris for our agents. Big friggin deal.
13. Tycoons and foreign governments will pick
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (07.29.11)
up another suitable "leader." The tent revolt will not go away. Warm weather, good company, lots of adrenaline and naivety, cheap cofee/alcohol, subsidised by the local restraunts owners - these protesters becoming tools of manipulation. As Russian proverb says; "Holy Place is Never Empty." Yesterday's evening Idan Ofer, Nochi Dankner, Yitzhak Tshuba, Muzi Wertheim.and other Israeli private monopolists (milk, cheese, celular, oil, banks,, pensions etc.) sent a letter to Netanyahu demanding ...to help the middle class. Tandem with Ofer Eini, the Unions Leader of Israeli public monopolies like Ports, Eectricity, Water Companies, who also threatens Netanyahu's Government is dangerous. This is hypocracy without shame. Soon they will pick a new "authentic" leader, will cast a perfect PR to "resolve" social problems - they own TV, newspapers radio so no problem to brainwash and voila. Israel is in great danger, forget about Livni, she is nobody. The new danger is just around the corner.
14. To # 13
lidia ,   rishon lezion   (07.29.11)
In other words, troubled waters, fishermen's gains.
15. Livni reminds me of Obama
hiho ,   Israel   (07.29.11)
If she ever becomes Prime Minister, she will cause serious damage.

addicts" from inside/outside will soon pick them up. This is a perfect opportunity.
17. It's not Mrs. Schpitzer's fault: it's the dumb Israeli voter
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.29.11)
18. The shill is getting more cranky by the hour.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (07.30.11)
Maybe she is learning from Zoabi.
19. Hopefully she will lose big in the next
jason white ,   afula, israel   (07.30.11)
elections and disappear from politics for good. Or become our first almost female president(unelected). The only way to solve these problems is with a new knesset made up of 120 Zionists that care more for Israel than they do for their own political careers and that of their parties, families and friends.
20. Nobody can be as damaging as BB!!
Ziv ,   Tel Aviv   (07.30.11)
21. shrill shrew in a polyester pantsuit
Dr. Kildare   (07.30.11)
permanently in a pms state of mind
22. For to be a real opposition, she would have to destroy myths
Mikesailor ,   Miami,, FL   (07.30.11)
And this would be anathema to a Jewish society brought up on the idea that all of their problems are created by 'others' and they have no responsibility for the consequences they incur. Her party is even too cowardly to appear for the civil marriage vote in the Knesset. There is no vision for the future except to continue doing more and more of the same things while expecting that God will give you a different result. There is no 'left-wing' in Israel, because a different narrative would destroy the comforting myths you tell yourselves, and therefore they would be labelled 'self-hating Jews' or worse. I am always amazed how the 'right-wing' .continually approves of violence against those who disagree, and promote ad hominem attacks against their critics all the while complaining that they are the ones 'persecuted' for their beliefs, and that their actions are irrelevant to the placement of any blame.
23. I voted for Livni (it's true!)
bob96 ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (07.30.11)
I made Alia in August 2008, and spent my first year in the Merkaz Klita of Beer Sheva. There we received the Haaretz newspaper in English version (for free, since I didn't have enough to spend on newspapers). That's the way I started knowing about Livni, under the best of lights, of course, and I ended up voting for her in the presidential elections. That memory still fills me with shame, because I've found her to be a really worthless politician, one that puts her personal interests above her country's, and she seems to have a Pavlovian reflex to oppose ANYTHING that Netanyahu says or does. I'm sure I'm not alone in this knowledge, and I think in the next elections Kadima will be relegated to a secondary positions, a fair prize for their unfit leader.
24. bullshit!
David ,   Israel   (07.31.11)
Now you happy, Noa? ;)
