The same thing happens here in Denmark, young and not so young Muslims cruise with their convertible BMW and pick Danish girls up, dazzling them with their wealth and bravado macho-like. You should read the article carefully--they guy "made arrangments" to pay her back in installments. The girl's father would see the charge with his first credit card statement. At the rate of NIS 200 per month, the guy would need 22.5 months to pay back the full amount. Now the guy lives in Jordan with a NIS 4500 smart phone that he paid NIS 400 for at the most. This is a remarkably sad story of poor parenting and unwarranted blame yet, the interesting part is the reaction of so many talkbackers. Talk about projecting their own prejudices and racist beliefs onto the unknown protagonists. The story is quite simple. Boy and girl meet. They beciome friends. Boy asks girl for loan. Girl, apparently without knowledge of her father, takes father's credit card and purchases a cell phone for the boy ehich boy promises to pay for into father's credit card account. Daddy finds out that his daughter purchased the cell phone without his authorization and...what does he do? Instead of confronting daughter and telling her that she is responsible for taking his card and charging merchandise without authorization, he instead runs to her workplace and demands Boy be fired..Why? Because the boy was an Arab? He was the innocent in this mess. He didn't take the card, He didn't charge the phone, she did. All he did was work out terms to pay the loan back. Why did the father blame the Boy instead of blaming the daughter for her actions? She should be the guarantor of payment and be grounded for quite a while. Instead, father, by unjustly getting this boy fired, lost out on any loan repayment the boy might make. Instead of blaming the girl for her theft of the card, or the father for overreacting, most of these talkbackers blame the boy. Why? Because he is Palestinian? Instead of forcing the Jews in this story to take responsibility for their own actions, the only ones punished are Palestinians, even those who had nothing whatsoever to do with this contretemps.Avoiding responsibility while blaming others for the consequences of your own actions seems a peculiarly Israeli trait.
