Why should we?

Since 2003 I organize information tours to Israel for German journalists. The background of the project is the fact that we (in Europe/Germany) are still confronted with a widespread negative approach to Israel: So it is my aim to invite influential journalists for an “on the spot orientation” in Israel, where they have the opportunity + to meet as many different people as possible to learn more about the feelings and the convictions of the majority of Israelis (the mainstream!); + especially to get to know representatives of the young generation, to interview them about their various opinions about Israel, to discuss with them; + to get to know the convincing hospitality throughout the country, + to get to know projects which are working for integration and peaceful coexistence. In the end we had to go through the security check at the airport. over the years many participants got the impression that there is a chaotic procedure, that they are treated not as guests but as criminals. Any complaints with the responsible persons were rejected. More than a half of the journalists will not return again because of this experience. Nobody denies security checks but we don't accept such a behaviour.

Why the hell would any right minded individual go to Israel in the first place. So many beautiful places in the world and she went there? Doesn't add up.

Israel you're F-----g Up and what was the demise of the Roman Empire, I believe MORALITY. A MORAL CODE OF CONDUCT and treating your fellow humans fairly. They can take the course in the USA, receiving instructions from the TSA, they'll really show them the ropes In the USA, if you give the security agents a hard time, they call the cops and you're off to the slammer, with a nice juicy fine, thrown in for good measure
