3. Peres should move to Ramallah.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.01.11)
Better yet, he can move to Amman, the capital of Palestine. He can change his name to Abu Peres & join Fatah, a more appropriate place for him. Does anyone think Peres would be president if this was an elected office? We have nothing to say to Abbas. That's the reality.
4. To Terry #3
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (08.01.11)
Your title is too long! Peres should move, to Ramallah or wherever, but he should move and stop promoting himself. History will judge him for his real values!
5. Well ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.01.11)
There is no news to convey. There is only a warning -- which Abbas would do very well to heed -- that Mansour's rather embarrassing boo-hoo at the U.N. is a precursor of what will happen to the ersatz "Palestinians" if they get stupid. Oh, wait. They already are. Let's go with "really stupid."
6. bravo Netanyahu : )
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.01.11)
Well done ! #3 No. Thank you. Please keep him. We insist. We appreciate the gesture, but please, nooo. by the way Jerusalem is our capital , Amman is the capital of Jordan, Tel Aviv is the capital of "Israel". Terry, You need to learn more about yourself and your neighbors.
7. In his July 29 column, Paul Krugman
Former leftist   (08.01.11)
says, in reference to American politics, " The cult of balance has played an important role in bringing us to the edge of disaster. For when reporting on political disputes always implies that both sides are to blame, there is no penalty for extremism. Voters won’t punish you for outrageous behavior if all they ever hear is that both sides are at fault." Use it in a lateral shift to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, or as a metaphor, and you will see exactly what is wrong with the way the conflict is reported in the paper. Actually, the whole thing should be read, with Israelis and Palestinians in mind instead of Democrats and Republicans. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/29/opinion/krugman-the-centrist-cop-out.html?_r=1&scp=3&sq=paul%20krugman%20column&st=cse.
8. Sarah, do you mean
(08.01.11)
even more stupid, totally stupid, brain-dead stupid or ridiculously stupid? Maybe crazy stupid, but crazy stupid like a fox.
9. Peres meeting with Abbas
Jackie ,   Florida   (08.01.11)
Peres is a ceremonial president with no authority to negotiate any terms with Abbas. and Abbas holds his position as president after failing to hold new elections for all too many years. They are fit companions to have a cup of coffee together, but nothing more.
10. Another SECRET meeting!
Alf Red ,   Londonistan   (08.01.11)
Has this Mr President ever having done ANYTHING in his life, apart of SECRET stinky deals?
11. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.01.11)
Jerusalem is your capital? Interesting. Where's your country, oh deluded one? You have on several occasions claimed different backgrounds -- once from Akko, once from Jerusalem, once from Jaffa -- you've lied so often, you cannot even keep it straight. You are a West Bank Arab. That makes you a Jordanian citizen, and we are going to repatriate you. Bye. Have a really swell life.
12. @ 11: Sarah B - repatriate?
Harmen ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (08.02.11)
Dear Sarah B, The deportation of all those on the West Bank that you see as Jordanian citizens to Jordan would be an act of ethnic cleansing. Surely you are not propagating ethnic cleansing? That is typically only done by dictatorial, fascist, communist and other non-democratic States. Not by democratic, moral Israel, I hope?
