I wish Mr. and Mrs. Pollard well in their struggles with illness. However, on the question of whether Jonathan Pollard should receive special leniency, I say no. He betrayed his country for money. He admitted his guilt and plea bargained. He violated the terms of the deal by speaking with the press. He could request parole, but he has not done so. He shall remain in prison.

Better treatment than most poor women and children in the US who never betrayed anybody. Certainly better than any of the politicians crying for his release would allow even the middle class in the US.
