3. Reason for apology
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (08.04.11)
Don't get me wrong here! I am not in favor of an apology to Turkey. In my humble opinion, we are the ones due for the apology. But, politically, I think keeping Turkey aligned towards Israel, is far more rewarding, than the cost of the apology. It is clear that the Iranians are using Turkey as a way point for arms smuggling, and apologies don't kill! This seizure may have saved the lives of Israeli's.

For every one that is seized, at least 10 shipments make it through...
5. Despite the bad relations, Turkey continues helping Israel
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (08.04.11)
Whether it be fighting fires or fighting Hezbollah, Turkey continues supporting Israel even without an apology. Why wouldn't you want an ally like this? Seriously, apologizing is the best option for Israel. If you can't see Turkey an important aly, then you must be blind.

Not true. Turkey is not in the least bit interested in helping Israel. They are desperately trying to keep from getting kicked out of NATO. Won't work. Turkey's toast and, what's more, everyone knows it. Israel apologize to Turkey for killing nine terrorists? You MUST be on drugs. Or in dire need of some. Not going to happen.

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.04.11)
Your humble opinion is straight on the mark; it is Turkey that should be apologizing to Israel. Politically, however, it doesn't really matter where Turkey aligns itself. Turkey's economy is in the toilet; it's ruined its chances for entering the European Union and its usefulness to Israel is no longer an issue. It's about to get bounced out of NATO. Goodbye "Turkey," hello "sick man of Europe." Sigh. They did it to theirselves. Can someone spell "apologize to the Armenians for the genocide?" No? How about "Turkey is about to get its ass kicked in Famagusta?" No? Can't spell that either? Well -- now you know why Turkey will forever be characterized as the sick man of pretty much everywhere.

will most probably be redirected to Libya.
9. #5 LP , It is a storm in a teacup.
Salma ,   Palestine   (08.04.11)
There is a strong alliance between Turkey and "Israel" , they have a wide range of common interests. Turkey is not only Erdogan, don't forget the Turkish army.

I see from the photograph of abbas that on his right hand he has lost the top of a finger . Pity it wasn't on his hed!

12. Arms heading for ASAD
Eli ,   Israel   (08.04.11)
Those weapons were most likely going to kill Syrian protesters, I heard Assad needs more bullets to shoot at the unarmed civilian crowd.

The posts at Nos. 6 and 7 are very definitely mine. I suggest that you follow your own advice and grow up and get a life. Along the way, you might want to learn a little bit about proper English spelling and the appropriate use of the comma in English punctuation.

Sadly, I am married to the man of my dreams and am probably old enough to be your mother .... Thank you nonetheless!

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.04.11)
Israel interdicts most of the illegal shipments. The port of Bandar Abbas is under constant surveillance by Israel. The Iranian port captains do not go to the bathroom without Israel knowing.
20. #9 - your use of quotes around Israel is amusing
William ,   Israel   (08.04.11)
One uses quotes only around issues of questionable existence or around terms that cannot be used as proper nouns correctly. I can find Israel on a map, I can point to its true economy, govt, existence in intl organizations, and mountains of books that speak to its centuries of existence and rich history. Regarding your "Palestinians", well - I just can't find anything on it prior to 1964. Sorry.
21. To: No. 9
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / israel   (08.04.11)
Unless you include the invasion of Cyprus or the war waged by the Turkish military against unarmed and helpless Kurdish civilians, Turkey has not been militarily tested since Gallipoli. The common perception is that the Turkish army is a Baby Huey -- big, but utterly incompetent. There is no strong alliance between Israel and Turkey. If Turkey did something that marginally benefits the State of Israel, it is only because that is the price the United States exacts for Turkey to remain in NATO. By the way, it's "tempest in a teapot." If you are going to use English colloquia, please do so accurately. You'll appear much less stupid.
22. Well The little bearded monkey Got Caught

23. Israel's enemies turkey and iran
creature ,   earths biosphere   (08.04.11)
The Bible does predict that all the nations will eventually be Israel's enemies HOWEVER G-D will destroy all of Israel's enemies. In the book of Ezekiel it is stated that the enemies of Israel that will invade from the north of Israel will kill each other to the benifit of Israel. turkey and iran are Israel's enemies and the actions of turkey show the LORD is very capable of bringing conflict among the armies of Israel's enemies.
24. Turkey will soon realize its mistakes...
Persian CAT   (08.05.11)
Just as it found out what a good friend Israel was. Turkey with its tail between its hind legs will be begging Syria and Iran to forget its mistakes.
