Devorah   (08.04.11)

8. I AM SICK OF EVERYBODY DEMANDING
zionist forever   (08.04.11)
Yes the price of diesel is going up, you might not have noticed but thats because oil prices are skyrocketing worldwide. Why should taxpayers be expected to subsidize your business? Back in the UK my sister owns a clothing store when her overheads are up she doesn't demand that the the government subsidize her business which is what the taxi drivers are effectively demanding. If they think driving taxi's is not profitable enough for them anymore then thats just fine quit driving taxis look for a better paid job. I am happy for my tax money to be used to help the people legitimately in need but I don't see why I should pay taxes to subsidize the taxi drivers so they don't have to spend as much of their profit on fuel. The more people come out demanding the more legitimacy this protest looses. Its initial demands were reasonable but now its just become a free for all with everybody latching onto what started out a housing protest to try and get something for themselves thinking that the housing protest will give legitimacy to their cause.
9. Okay - now it is time for me to go on strike -

I want more money from Bituach Leumi - now the seniors need to have a demonstration BUT we don't have the strength, stamina or health anymore.

Those who are so willing to sacrifice their brothers on the other side of the green line think that they will not suffer for their betrayal. it's only begun
11. They think they are Kings of the road
Talula ,   Israel   (08.04.11)
What an absolute selfish pathetic attempt at getting their voices heard. What about people who had to get to work. Taxi drivers, are Morons, bit tuff, but nevertheless, true
12. Time to Ignore the Liberal Morons
Eli ,   Israel   (08.04.11)
These Libtards are Anarchist, nothing more, they want everything for nothing. I think I am going to protest because the price of toilet paper is to high. Time to ignore these communists. The Right wing media should not even report this anymore, oh, I forgot, there is no right wing media.
13. which side of the Green Line is Florida on?
Bruno ,   Haifa   (08.04.11)
14. gotta love democracy!
yoni perez ,   brazil   (08.04.11)
Why Israel is a great place! As we all know, many Israeli citizens (Jews, Arabs, Christians, Bedouin, Druze) have joined together in the major cities of Israeli to protest against the many policies employed by the government. These protests have included work strikes, demonstrations and camping out in the busy streets of Tel Aviv. Unlike its Middle Eastern neighbours, there has been no military presence ordered to take action and kill these citizens who are only voicing their rights.
15. Striking is legal, blocking traffic is not. Fine them!
Yaniv ,   Israel   (08.04.11)
16. protesters are babies and morons?
Kevin ,   tel aviv israel   (08.04.11)
I am sure hosni mubarak and colonel gaddafi thought the same of the protesters in their country. think about that when u are sitting in your ivorl tower
17. to # 1
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (08.04.11)
THAT is the beginning, middle and end of the reasons for the organization of these protests. The poor man ( women) in the street is being used. Many ARE in bad financial straits BUT the organizers could care less--they can't bring down the right wing government through the front door so they are now trying a side door. Demand, demand, demand--has anyone verified who the so called spontaneous leaders really are. Check out their background--not as spontaneous and grassroots as they would have you believe!
18. The Police can earn big bucks today
Israel   (08.04.11)
Why aren't they out at the junction giving out tickets for reckless driving?
19. Cool! I love the Israeli citizens these days
Resident Mockery   (08.04.11)
They finally learned what being a citizen is like. I'm sick of the high taxes of gasoline in this country. This is the way to achieve goals in Israel and in the rest of the world. If you find life inconvenient because of strikes and protests, make better decisions in front of the ballot box!
20. Add a uniform fuel surchage to the fare
Devorah   (08.04.11)
Different cities around the world do that, and it's no big deal.
