to contest the eventual, and soon to be, factual, extraction of nature resources from these fields by Israel. I understand that if Nasrallah sees his shadow, we all experience another 6 months of "Arab Spring".

Competition and moved on to something more serious. They should follow us tighter. They may learn a thing or two.
35. If Israel is so disdainful of the UN's convention
seadog1946 ,   Arthur Kill, NY   (08.05.11)
on the Law of the Sea and believes that the UN has no jurisdiction in the Lebanese/Israeli maritime border dispute, why is it wasting it's time by scurrying around to submit an Israeli map (probably using a spurious map datum) to the UN.

Here's a news flash: the United States is not signatory to the United Nations' Law of the Sea Convention, either. The U.S. is pretty disdainful of that Convention, too. Just ask the Mexicans, the Hondurans and the Belizians -- all of whom would love a piece of Gulf of Mexico oil, which the United States has thus far declined to share. Oh, but I guess you didn't know that, did you? Doesn't surprise me in the least. You seem not to know very much about anything. Careful. Your hatred of Israel and your incredible anti-Semitism is showing.
37. #35 - you should ask that of Lebanon
William ,   Israel   (08.05.11)
The Arabs, Lebanon included, also act disdainful of UN conventions, Intl law, human rights conventions, etc.....and yet the UN is the first place they go to. Why is Lebanon pushing the UN so hard to make a decision when Lebanon acted against the law in the first place by setting unilateral borders? Let's see what happens. Lebanon cannot get away from STL and UNIFIL, two UN entities which are currently (and rightly so) dragging Lebanon through the mud.
38. #36 - to truly deflect any US based criticism
saedog1946 ,   Arthur Kill, NY   (08.05.11)
of Israeli hypocrisy, you need to keep bringing up the issue of how the US is maintaining it's economy by plundering the natural resources of the land that really belongs to the decimated native americans. The fact that you and other rootless cosmopolitans have attained fabulous wealth and stature by tapping into the benefits of the US economy is beside the point. Keep deflecting the criticism, the tribe's existence depends on your B.S.
