How has the official policy of any country towards Israel changed over the last 20 years? Ties with Turkey are less extensive but relations with other countries are the same. I really dont get this idea of countries being ''friends''. People have friends. Countries have policies and interests , but not ''friends.''. Turkey will realise eventually that a deeper involvement with Israel is either in its interest or not in its interest. It wont wake up one day feeling bad about having hurt your feelings, and wanting to be ''friends'' again.
