They know they can rip the naive Israeli consumer off. A Tommy Hilfiger shirt that cost $25.00 in the States cost $125.00 in Israel. Imagine making $500.00 dollars a week than working a whole day just to buy a shirt or buying a car that the Manufacturer suggested retail price is $14,000 US price ( Hyundai Elantra) ($35,000.00 Israeli price) and then you have to pay a $100 to fill up that gas tank and you say Israel is doing fine. Wow one shirt a full tank of gas and throw in lunch at McDonald's is almost half the average persons salary in Israel for a week and who is doing fine. .
