I think the article is very interesting and exciting; however, I wish the author would be more conscious of his language. He uses Christian verbiage to to identify Jewish documents; for example: the Old Testament, also known as the bible. Accoding to Christian belief, the Old Testament is superceded by the New Testament. Why not come out and say the "Torah." Also the use of AD (in the year of our lord) I find objectional in a Jewish publication. I have seen AD used in YNET articles before. Why not use BCE and CE?

While you are technically correct on all counts, common usage supersedes scholastic specificity. Old Testament is the most common way of referring to the Hebrew scriptures in English. Saying "Torah" would not only be less common, but wrong. The project is out to translate the entire Tanakh, not just the five books of Moses. Likewise, AD is far more common than CE. A surprising number of people either have not heard of CE/BCE, or are actively offended by it. If you object to these things in a Jewish publication, shouldn't you be pushing them to use the Jewish year instead of CE anyway?

A scholarly research to find out which hokus pokus is more relevant and historically correct. It's like studying Jerry Seinfeld's skits. What a waste of time and money. The Bible/Tanah/Tora/ is the same as "1001 Nights" with the difference that the latter is more interesting for children to read. The rabbis for example did not allow themselves to quote verses of the Torah verbatim and therefore always altered the text a bit and included explanations of the verses in their quoting so that it qualifies as oral torah and can be said over verbatim. Samaritan and Christian text were also altered. the prophets writings were never set in stone and we even lost some. The five books of Moses will never be altered added to or subtracted from. stop wasting your time trying to prove a misguided point

There is a difference between the Torah and the Prophets and Writings. When the latter books were canonised the scholars of that era edited the Neveim and Kesuvim. That is why you can't date the books by their language. There is nothing heretical about this.
