1. HIT BACK HARD
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.18.11)
Typical cowards, they attack an unsuspecting passenger bus. I only hope the IDF hits back hard and fast. Sadly all these people understand is brute force. So any attack must be responded to, so hard, as to discourage further attacks. No consideration should be given to "disproportional force" charges. That will happen no matter what Israel does anyway. The reality is, there is no such thing in war.
2. If this isn't enough cause to open Cast
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (08.18.11)
lead 2 maybe you really need to be in the streets demonstrating for a change in the Defense Ministry. It may do society much more good in the long term than the protests demanding a societal change
3. THIS HAPPENED BECAUSE EGYPT OPENED ITS GAZA BORDER
(08.18.11)
as if that was a humanitarian action... we knew all too well this kind of terrorism would follow all too soon. and now with the turmoil in egypt israel must prepare itself for even worse. hamas is beyond terrorism. it is pure evil.

These are the "peace" partners!! Attacking innocent passengers on the bus and private cars!! World! Wake up! Stop believing their peace talks. They just LIE in the eyes and seek for opportunities to attack INNOCENT people!! Six people died. Why? Because they traveled for VACATION!! Israel need to respond and kill the terrorist cells!

The 'world' will condemn us and demand that we make some gesture to the Arabs. I have a gesture and it has to do with the leveling of all of Gaza.

Rachel ,   US   (08.18.11)
15. Disproportionate responses required .
Harvey ,   London   (08.18.11)
It doesn't matter which border these attacks emanate from . It's all one and the same Amalek . Make gaza pay a very heavy price
16. Settle the Negev and make it safe. Belevski can tell you.
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.18.11)
Cool head, quick action, Benny Belevski is a hero. He is working in a very dangerous area, with many long miles of an empty road passing close to two international borders. Buses are very vulnerable, unfortunately. Yotvata sits right there and has been thriving for many years. Take the example of Yotvata and settle the mostly empty Negev, make it safe for Mr. Belevski and other bus drivers. Make the Negev safe for Israel.
17. my thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the terror
Israeli ,   Israel   (08.18.11)
attack on israel
18. #16, what?
JB ,   Rehovot Israel   (08.18.11)
Michael, I don't get what you're saying. How would settling the negev prevent terrorist attacks? Jerusalem is "settled"; so are Tel Aviv, Beersheva, Haifa, and Netanya. They haven't been hit by terrorist attacks?
19. Open road attacks do not happen in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem.
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.18.11)
Terrorist hits by armed bands are much harder to carry out in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, as you well know. Didn't Ben Gurion tell you what to settle? The Sde Boker area is still awaiting development. Go visit it some time, it is gorgeous.
20. Proportionate Response.
Danny Ross ,   USA   (08.18.11)
Crush the terrorist state in Gaza.
21. #16 - Do you have any point
Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto   (08.18.11)
other than being an ignorant moron?
22. impressive response
Serge ,   Montreal, Canada   (08.18.11)
Terrorists open file on a random passenger bus. Immediate responses: passengers take cover, driver accelerates, soldiers return fire, medics treat wounded. That is pretty impressive readiness.
23. #21
Alice ,   Montreal, Que. Canad   (08.18.11)
I don't see why you have to call #16 a moron . What's your point? To make yourself important you had to sign lawer ,Toronto. The big deal. Empty bottles makes a lots of noise...
24. #16 and 19, Michael
Amy ,   off route 40   (08.18.11)
??? I agree, it's beautiful down there. So what are *you* doing in California, then?
25. bus driver
joe ,   great neck   (08.18.11)
Shlomo Carlbach said the Egged bus drivers are some of the holiest and special people in the land of Israel. Yasher Koach!! Now T'ZHAL go do what needs to be done without restraint!
26. #21 Lawyer in Canada, My point: SAFER ISRAEL
Michael ,   California, USA   (08.18.11)
Anybody can understand what I've written, but not you. Go defrost your lawyer noodle, idiot, start thinking.

28. ANSWER BACK#16
SAMUEL ABBO VEISSID ,   PANAMA, REP. OF PANA   (08.18.11)
ARE YOU JEWISH. I THINK #16 IS. YOU ARE SUPPOSE AS A JEW TO ATTACK THE PAL TERRORISTS NOT YOUR OWN KIND. IS RAEL MIS A DEMOCRACY OR NOT? TOGETHER WE WILL SAVE ISRAEL. PLEASE REMEMBER THE REASON THE SECOND TEMPLE WAS DESTROYED BY HASHEM. MY BEST ADVICED IS STAY TOGETHER THIS THE ONLY WAY WE CNA SAVE OURSELVES AND ISRAEL. SHALOM
29. To #16, re #26
Canadian Lawyer ,   Toronto   (08.18.11)
Nobody is interested in hearing you preach, from the comfort of your home in California, about what Israel needs to do to be "safer". Go explain to the injured and the families of the dead victims what your prescriptions are. A little empathy, rather than advice, is required at this time. A person with an IQ of 5 might get this, but obviously not you.
30. To #23
Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto   (08.18.11)
I think my point was pretty obvious, and that even you might understand it, but clearly not. When a vicious and unprovoked terrorist incident occurs, the proper reaction is to express sympathy with the victims, not to dispense unsolicited, and mindless, advice. Get it?
