There is not comparison between male and female circumcision. Male circumcision is just cutting off a piece of skin which has some proven health benefits. While what is called female 'circumcision' is more like castration.

I don't have a boy, but in modern times we have soap, so medical purpose of male circumcision is vague. I don't want my kids suffer for religion. #8 is right. Why are we blinded by tradition? It's 21 st century. I will not let rabbi cut my child.

Babies do not cry excessively during a bris. At my grandson's bris a couple of weeks ago, he was sleeping quietly the second that it was over. I have been to plenty of brissim, including my own sons and grandsons, and never heard the baby cry and fuss any more than babies normally cry at any other time.

This bris has special meaning, out of the midst of war comes new jewish life. Where the evil Arabs have killed at least 8 Jews, a new Jewish son is born. Every Jewish person with a heart feels the joy and the promise of our G-d. The famous words of our Torah echo in my head. "In every generation there arises an evil (Haman) to try to kill the Jews, but in every generation G-d saves us Jews from destruction." In death G-d gives us his promise of new life. We are the eternal chosen people of G-d. G-d bless and keep Israel safe.
