We will apologize for violating Israel's territory, when Israel apologizes to the Palestinian people for violating their territory because we will do to you as what you do to Palestinians now.
35. It's true: he IS a hero...to the Arabs...
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   USA-ISRAEL   (08.21.11)
Any Arab that destroys any sign of civility, decency or sign of peace or tranquility is indeed an Arab hero. After all, just look at the astounding success of Egypt: the beauty, cleanliness, great company and marvelous infrastructure they've achieved. Talk about progress! Indeed, Egypt is one of the most sought after places for the entire African continent to get to! (albeit for the poor Africans to GET INTO ISRAEL FOR A REAL LIFE). Get a clue Egypt: would you like to spend the rest of your lives like 3rd world, repressed peasants? The choice is TOTALLY YOURS!
36. Was he bare-footed?

Ok, seems I was wrong when I thought I can have a conversation here. For our economy, you can blame Mubarak, Sadat and AbdulNasser for this. We've been opressed by dictators for about 150 years, then you blame the people for the country being a third world nation. I hope we can live democracy soon (which is something you obviously don't want), then we will build an economy and yes in ten years we would be praying in Aqsa. This is nowhere to debate, I just wanted to say w few words. Oh and please, go read a book about the Islamic civilization before judge, because it seems you haven't and you just followed your brainwashing leaders. Let's not debate as I said before, it makes no sense to keep replying to eachother trust me.

You have the right to support who ever you want you have the right to do what you want. stop blaming us for your condition or for us care if you have a democrathy or not. We care about you fullfing the peace treaty. We gave you sainai back with oil fileds unfourtantly we agree for your refusal to take back the Gaza streep I wish we hadn't. Now you say that this peace is not worth the paper it is written on. Not surprising really what else can you expect from an islamic civilazation. Blame everyone else typical. if it weren't for the help you got from the usa you would starve , so sad. You think you are such a great nation , islamic civilaztion, it would have been funny if it wern't so sad.
40. Partners for peace....
Homar Asawee ,   NY NY   (08.21.11)
#3...unfortunately...the reasonable voices in Egypt are being muffled by the Hate Mongers...who have grown up and digested years worth of anti Israel/Anti Semitic rhetoric. I pray that the Egyptian intellegentsia is able to positively influence the views of the majority of the Egyptian People. In war...everyone loses...In peace...everyone wins...One would think that everyone has learned that very fundamental lesson?
41. No surprises here!
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (08.21.11)
Well, well, well, the Tiger never changes its stripes. The few "sane" Egyptians will never overcome the haters. I feel so sorry for the Coptic Christians..who will feel the pains of hatred from their own countrymen. Where can they run to? I hope Israel will give them shelter and solace? G-d protect you from the Muslim Hoardes as they burn your Churches, rob you and defile your women in the name of Allah.
42. Post-Mubarak Egypt
LebanonPride ,   Canada   (08.21.11)
This would never happen in Mubarak's Egypt. Thank God he is gone. Egyptians know what's best for their country, not Mubarak. This act was something else, much respect to this man for what he did. He needs a street named after him I think ;)
43. #42 Criteria for being hero pretty low
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.21.11)
Name the street Via Da Loser. Only viable business in Egypt these days appears to be flammable Israeli flag manufacturing. So many problems in Egypt since departure of Mubarak that street mobs are provided short-term gratification by burning Israeli flags. Doesn't say much for Arab Spring in Egypt.
44. It is a start
Wesam ,   Egypt   (08.22.11)
wow ,,, what great minds I found here, Did u think that all what we are aiming for is to take ur flag away from ur embassy in Cairo, If so, then u r mistaken, IT IS JUST A MESSAGE that we are intending to revenge for every Egyptian blood drop that was shed on ur hands When an ordinary Egyptian man climbs 22 floor then think what an Egyptian soldier can make By the way if u're treating ur flag as being a "cloth", then u don't know Do not know the meaning of "country home"

Mike Hock Spitz ,   NY NY   (08.22.11)
We understand your hatred and prejudice against us. You're basically brainwashed ignoramii.... For the most part...you are a bunch of hateful savages and barbarians. Your kind will throw Egypt back into the Stone Age. Unfortunately, because of you, your children will never know the tranquility of peace. Just know that any civilized people will judge you by your barbaric and uncivilized behavior. Why don't you rape a reporter or two in the name of your religion?
47. Um Kulthum is the best

Also Abdel Halim Hafez Thank you Egypt for these wonderful songs. Peace for all.
48. no 13 - you're wrong
T - Ahmed ,   cairo - egypt   (08.22.11)
those israelis who believe that we can be friends are right . I know very peaceful israelis and they're really decent and normal people. i believe that all humans want to live in peace and love innately, so if people show peace instead of hate ,i guess it may end this shit that people are living in
49. burning the Israeli flag

Yes Wesam It's just a start and expect the worst from brave Egyptians ISA
50. No. 40 Homar Asawee
NYC Girl   (08.22.11)
The reality in Egypt is that peace will more likely come through the efforts of moderate, well-intentioned people like yourself than from the intelligentsia. The unfortunate truth is that in countries like Egypt (and Egypt isn't alone in this), it's often the intellectuals and the students who are even more radical and anti-western than the average Egyptian. In fact, didn't Egypt recently have a government official with a PhD call for the banning of all books by Israeli authors? And wasn't Bir Zeit University (which I realize isn't Egyptian) always a hotbed of support for the most radical Palestinian terrorist groups? So that's why it's not likely that it will be the intellectuals who lead the way toward peace. It will have to come from the people who are tired of the endless strife and just want to earn a living and raise their families.
51. the Egyptian truth
Deeb , cairo , Egypt ,   Egypt   (08.23.11)
the truth is the Egyptian guy Ahmed, of course i mean the Hero . he climbed 21st floor to reach the roof and took down the Israel flag and raised the Egyptian one. without any help without stairs just through the balconies he manged to do it, that's because he felt a real anger about what's happen on the borders through killing Innocent Egyptians . however i'm sure this is not gonna happen again , as Egyptian will not accept such terrorist actions from the Israel side any more ( of course i mean after the revolution ) and the departure of their ally Hosni Mubarak .
52. Amazed!
(08.23.11)
i blame the U.K from the start as they are the ones that created this problem, but who could blame them really. the world just had enough of you jews spread every where fucking things up, and voila isreal was created, a land of extremist Zionists who are led by an extreme religious agenda on a land thats not even theirs, yeah and one more thing. are you guys for real? mad at Palestinians for fighting for their land.....duh
53. #3 fad, #9 mehmed
solomon ,   bklyn   (08.23.11)
Thank you for the fresh air of sanity you blow our way from Egypt. They should be more acknowledged, while your fellow countrymen refuse to open their eyes and ears.
54. #52 amazed
solomon ,   bklyn   (08.23.11)
Substitute "Pals" for Jews and "Moslems" for Zionists (and "Jews" for Palestinians in the last sentence) and I think you're on to something.
55. Flag rats
Samir Geagea ,   Maarab, Lebanon   (08.25.11)
It's funny how a simple burn of a flag shows how much the israeli "state" is a virtual state and will collapse with any wind blow hahahaha
56. so sad a people
jn   (08.25.11)
This is the hero. Rather than someone that found a cure, or won the Nobel peace prize, or created a new technology, or holds multiple patents that benefit all of mankind - this is the hero. They have no choice but to find an enemy to look outward with their anger and to blame. They have no capacity to understand that their problems of their own making. They have no role models and no idea what a hero is. They yearn for more but have no idea to to get there. In fact, they are children with no sense of self. Lost, sad and crying out for a sense of purpose.
57. agyptian becomes hero
Hans ,   Germany   (08.25.11)
i also want to have a house and a job for free, does it work with a flag with half of a moon on it ? i am a hero in writing this!!
58. Too Busy Awarding Acts of Violence
Douglas Fireman ,   Chicago, USA   (08.25.11)
Awarding acts of violence is nothing new among the Arabs. And the guy gets a home, pocket money etc. for removing an Israeli flag. There are millions of unemployed people in Egypt- folks working for infinitesimal wages; living in hovels, and this guy gets a home plus cash for removing a flag? Surely the Egyptian government has enough money stolen from US and European aid packages to build a house and give needed cash too folks who really need it. I guess its the symbol the flag represented. And the guy's a hero now. Something like the Egyptian terrorists who recently participated in the Eilat terror attack who are now considered martyrs. Whether they knew about it or not, The Egyptians should be apologizing to Israel for the involvement of Egyptian citizens (terrorists) in the dastardly attack in Eilat. However, the government is too busy saving face and honor than apologizing for the terrorist attacks; too busy awarding guys who rip down Israeli flags than attending to the needs of their people.
59. By the way....
Gabe ,   Canada   (08.25.11)
Just how many humiliations would the Prime Minister be prepared to put up with ?
60. Enough already children!....
Rafi ,   Montreal, Canada   (08.26.11)
Where is the maturity please?..all I read is hot heads messages from both sides...Here is what I will say first to the Egyptians...learn your history and deal with facts...Israel is only your enemy if you chose it to be...it took nothing from no one...and you have enough land to re create a 100 Israels...Peace was as good to you as it was for Israel....It is only when you have full democracy and not an exchange of rulers..from political to religious that you will see what I am saying to be the truth...only when you start to think for yourselves and not be brainwashed that you will realize there is more to peace than to war...better living, better conditions, better health, better humanity and so on. To the Israelis here I will say, enough with the war drum beating...The wolrd knows that we cannot lose against the Arabs as we are one of the fifth world nuclear powers and have more nuclear heads than China...600 to 175-...so what? ..until we get to the point of pushing buttons to obliterate the whole Middle East...how many lives will be lost?...so a hot head replaced a flag and they made him a hero...is this mature and responsible?..all governments in the world are obligated to protect the embassies of the countries they are hosting...rather this is a slap on the government of Egypt for not being able to stop this from happening...and showing the world that they are NOT capable to be on the level with all other world countries...that they are weak and cannot be trusted. We all want peace, we all want freedom, we all want to be self thinking, sufficient and independent..and we all know that this can only be achieved through democracy. Insulting each other and flexing our muscle does not make for good neighbors... With real peace in the Middle East , China and India would not be alone to develop so fast as with Israeli technology and Arab labor the ME can give them a run for their money. To the Arabs I say ,,please accept that Israel is here to stay...we have been attacked 5 times and after every time defending ourselves we got stronger.. What did these wars bring you? To the Israeli I say..work hard to have and maintain peace...this is not a children's game..where the bad guy is the loser, for every life we lose, we cannot consider ourselves winners.
