1. Can I ask you something ??? ,...
split ,   us   (08.23.11)
Why do you (jews) travel to or spend 1 minute in Germany ??? ,...
2. B"H for her courage, she surely saved her life.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (08.23.11)
3. What a creepy predator and what a lucky girl to escape.
Rivkah   (08.23.11)
Often, when there is uncontrolled sexuality and beastiality that is a reflection of damage to the left temporal lobe of the brain, often from an injury to the left side of the forehead. An EEG will show that. He is sick and needs to take lithium in high doses, is my guess. But who can be sure he is taking it if he is released? Long ago, there were mental hospitals for people to live out their lives in when they were as dangerous as this guy is.
4. We will never know how many future victims she saved
meir elazar   (08.23.11)
5. "stalkers want to dominate and control their victims..."
eporue ,   europe   (08.23.11)
..."they dont see them as human, but only as an object", says criminologist wolf kemper... (its "thomas F", not thomas p...)
6. when a stalker falls in love...
eporue ,   europe   (08.23.11)
thomas p. from a small town in eastern germany, with a record for stalking, followed the fleeing women carrying a gun (walther 9mm) and a grenade...its reported, he wanted to blow them both up... neighbours in the wachtelstreet, who watched "sarah p."s, (initially reported as iranian) escape, called the police, which then waited in the torture dungeon for thomas p.'s return. in the meantime, sarah p. also had called the police from a friends apartment... besides explosives, in his apartment were also gynacological instruments found - and a display doll, used to practise torture methods, one source reported... according to the latest information, he fell in (unreturned) love with sarah p and planned to impregnate her...
7. she ripped a window out of its hinges...
eporue ,   europe   (08.23.11)
8. Prayers
Adam Neira ,   Melb, Australia   (08.23.11)
Prayers for the Israeli woman. Her survival instincts must have kicked and and saved her. "The Gift of Fear' by Gavin De Becker addresses the subject of why some people are able to assess risk quickly and respond and others aren't.
9. The torah law protects us from repeat criminals
Gur2   (08.23.11)
The toralh law gives you three chances, on the third conviction you die the death - think how many horrid murders etc. would have been prevented had this ancient law not been overridden by modern humanist secular sensibilities. "The mercies of the wicked are cruel" says a solomonic proverb and that applies to today's bleeding heart liberal worldview.
10. Nobody notice barbed wire on the windows?
Ruth ,   San Diego USA   (08.23.11)
Germany has all kinds of laws and local regulations, including prohibitions on washing cars in public spaces and ones that require renters and homeowners to separate different colors of glass bottles for recycling. And yet, nobody seems to have noticed barbed wires installed on the windows.
11. @ #1
Dirk ,   L.A., USA   (08.23.11)
Because, the Torah teaches forgiveness... "It is forbidden to be obdurate and not allow yourself to be appeased. On the contrary, one should be easily pacified and find it difficult to become angry. When asked by an offender for forgiveness, one should forgive with a sincere mind and a willing spirit. . . forgiveness is natural to the seed of Israel." (Mishneh Torah, Teshuvah 2:10)
12. To 1 , sprotje
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.23.11)
Simply , because the Germans of today are'nt guilty of what their ancestors did .
13. Maybe that she learned something
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (08.23.11)
while serving in the IDF .
14. This is why Jews should date and marry other Jews only
American Sabrah ,   Israel   (08.23.11)
15. #14 stupid and racist comment
Gregg ,   Haifa, IL   (08.23.11)
because you know as well as me that in Israel we have our own mentally troubled people and that this story has probably nothing to do with the fact that she's Israeli. Read a bit of psychology and you'll understand.
16. you shall not wash your car even in your own driveway...
eporue ,   europe   (08.23.11)
are you saying, ruth in san diego, that you can wash your car wherever you like (all that oil and petrol goes into the ground), and that you dont bother with recycling issues ? thats awful... people noticed the barbed wire, but the guy wasnt all to chatty - even before the wire was installed... they thought, he had a break in, and wanted to prevent another one, some thought its sort of "artwork", and others probably didnt care at all... its not very likely that someone calls the police because of that... however, some neighbours having a garden party noticed, that there was a women jumping out of a window, and the guy running after her...
17. Remember the explosives, too
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (08.23.11)
Kidnap an Israeli for sexual reasons, barbed wire on windows AND explosives. I'm wondering if there is a more devious plot involved.
18. To # 1 and 11
David ,   On this planet   (08.23.11)
# 1 question is legitimate Why go to Germany, #11 It has nothing to do with forgiveness more like stupidity . Israeli European Jews love Europe it reminds them of their past wonderful life Shame on them, they will never learn
19. 1. I'm not able to travel to Germany...
(08.23.11)
though many Jews do.
20. 1 you are wrong
Gil ,   Tel Aviv   (08.23.11)
What you wrote is a really sick and hateful thing to write. Germans today aren't the ones of 60 years ago and we shouldn't judge them for it.
21. @10
Siegfried&Bruenhilde   (08.23.11)
You must read the whole article not just the headline! Then you will discover this "Neighbors told Dewalt newspaper that the suspect told them he was protecting his apartment from burglars" Hence the barbed wire! btw nobody can forbid barbed wire inside your own home
22. 1 split, us: German Chancellor Angela Merkel pays pensions
Rivkah   (08.23.11)
to holocaust survivors around the world from the German treasury. Many Jews are thankful and have forgiven Germans and Germany, hoping what happened will not happen again. But I have sat in Frankfort Airport with Germans commenting on Jews in prayer shawls passing by. They say things like, "Hitler should have killed them all." So it is dangerous to forgive and forget even though not all Germans hate the Jews.
23. #11 We cannot forget and it's not in our power to forgive
Yossef   (08.23.11)
that was said at Yom haShoa by Dalia Itzik, president of the Knesset. The part of Mishne Torah you cite doesn't apply to the Shoa and their perpetrators. But what applies is that the son cannot be condemned for the sins of his father.
24. ......MAKE A POINT!!!
Pat Klein ,   Europe   (08.23.11)
..teach this animal a lesson! You Israelis have surely the "proper personal" at hand - to make a point never to kidnapp an Israeli woman! Don´t count on the Germany Justice System! - He´ll be running free in very short time! -They find allways a lot of excuses!
25. 12 Charles Yesh.. Veyesh...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (08.23.11)
We have those who are horrified by what their grand-parents did,but unfortunately there also the Hitler nostalgic ones.Who better than you knows, that this evil is not completely eradicated, not in Germany, and nowhere else. They are showing more and more their true face,as antisemitism isn t any more politically incorrect as it was yet two years ago. We need more people who are capable of fighting antisemitism,as you do you do [ with tremendous skills].
26. Has anyone else noticed?
Gideon ,   Pittsburgh, PA   (08.23.11)
Using Morgenpost or Bild.de as a source is a lot like relying on the National Enquirer or the Weekly World News. These papers are rags and everybody (or so I thought) knows it.
27. Social construct
Starik ,   Helsinki, Finland   (08.23.11)
There is no such thing as "Israeli" or "German." These are social constructs designed to separate and divide the people. We are all Americans!
28. #25 and others...
eporue ,   europe   (08.23.11)
there is no growing anti-semitism, there is a growing criticism of israel... you are (more and more) hold responsible for your actions... that this is growing, is the result of the decades of ongoing occupation, and whatever it brings with it... europe/the US have "naturally" (historically) more interest (closer links) to israel than sudan or syria...
29. 12 Charles,Please answer Eporue.28
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (08.23.11)
30. It is in their blood
k ,   US   (08.23.11)
as said it is in the Germans blood to kill and torture Jews, it is an amusement to them, any Jew who goes to Germany is just setting themselves up
