1. Seif al-Islam vs. the NATO Rebel (apologies to M.Python)
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.23.11)
NATO Rebel: You fight with the strength of many men, Sir knight. I am NATO Rebel, leader of the free Libyans. [pause] I seek the finest and the bravest knights in the land to join me in my Court of Tripoli. [pause] You have proved yourself worthy; will you join me? [pause] You make me sad. So be it. Come, Patsy. Seif al-Islam: None shall pass. NATO Rebel: What? Seif al-Islam: None shall pass. NATO Rebel: I have no quarrel with you, good Sir knight, but I must rule this country. Seif al-Islam: Then you shall die. NATO Rebel: I command you as head of the free Libyans to stand aside! Seif al-Islam: I move for no man. NATO Rebel: So be it! [hah] [parry thrust] [NATO Rebel chops the Seif al-Islam's left arm off] NATO Rebel: Now stand aside, worthy adversary. Seif al-Islam: 'Tis but a scratch. NATO Rebel: A scratch? Your arm's off! Seif al-Islam: No, it isn't. NATO Rebel: Well, what's that then? Seif al-Islam: I've had worse. NATO Rebel: You liar! Seif al-Islam: Come on you pansy! [hah] [parry thrust] [NATO Rebel chops the Seif al-Islam's right arm off] NATO Rebel: Victory is mine! [kneeling and bows towards Mecca] We thank thee Allah, that in thy mercy... [hah] Seif al-Islam: Come on then. NATO Rebel: What? Seif al-Islam: Have at you! NATO Rebel: You are indeed brave, Sir knight, but the fight is mine. Seif al-Islam: Oh, had enough, eh? NATO Rebel: Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left. Seif al-Islam: Yes I have. NATO Rebel: Look! Seif al-Islam: Just a flesh wound. [Seif al-Islam kicks NATO Rebel in the shin] NATO Rebel: Look, stop that. Seif al-Islam: Chicken! Chicken! NATO Rebel: Look, I'll have your leg. Right! [whop-chops off his leg] Seif al-Islam[standing on one leg with blood gushing from his three wounds]: Right, I'll do you for that! NATO Rebel: You'll what? Seif al-Islam: Come 'ere! NATO Rebel: What are you going to do, bleed on me? Seif al-Islam: I'm invincible! NATO Rebel: You're a loony. Seif al-Islam: The Seif al-Islam always triumphs! Have at you! Come on then. [NATO Rebel chops the Seif al-Islam's other leg off] Seif al-Islam: All right; we'll call it a draw. NATO Rebel: Come, Patsy. Seif al-Islam: Oh, oh, I see, running away then. You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll bite your legs off!
2. This isn't over yet.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.23.11)
Qadaffi didn't stay in power because he was stupid. Madmen can be very clever & Qadaffi is a sly old fox. Like most Arab countries, Libya is a tribal society. Westerners want to paint this in Western terms & various groups mouth the slogans foolish Westerners want to hear. But loyalty is to tribe & clan plus that powerful motivator, oil = power & lots of money. Admittedly, there are some who really want democracy. But the winner will be the ruthless men with guns, especially those with an additional ideological motive. America, France, & Britain took sides in a civil war without even knowing who exactly they were supporting. Not smart.
3. At least Media consistant....Always lying
Peter Morris ,   New Zealand   (08.23.11)
Its easy knowing whats happening in Libya just take the opposite to what the media says. Interesting that the Scottish Legal authorities will soon publish a major report that the Libyan charged for Lockerbie was a victim of a misacarriage of justice. Therefore Libya most likely had nothing to do with Lockerbie.
4. Not a rebel war its a Brit/US war!
Susie ,   Scotland   (08.23.11)
Any fool can see that this war is not a Rebel war it has been carried out by heavy NATO bombing and ex SAS and CIA men on the ground guiding the Rebels. They are easy to spot white guys good quality sunglasses always trying to run away from the cameras. Also a nice mixture of X Guantanamo prisoners brought in from and paid for by the good old USA to fight against the Libyans, mostly Alqaeda. Once the GOLD is stolen by the USA and Nato and the oil rights are sorted out between the West there will be another country left week and in a mess. No wonder Hamas are desperate for a Cease Fire there will be no more money from Gaddify!
5. why nobody believe me?
mary of Bethany ,   singapore   (08.23.11)
classified information! i know whereabouts is Gaddafi! option 1: watch out for that very "ugly fat old" woman selling vegetables in the Market place near Gaddafi's house. option 2; dig out any "man-hole" exactly like the one Saddam hid in! (he's very smart thinking NATO will think that he dare not repeat Saddam's tricks. option 3: in his own bedroom trying out his colourful wardrobe. (chinese sayings: "the most dangerous place is the most safest place") (just-for-laugh) 8-)
6. seif al islam a brave and clever warrior!
mira ,   israel   (08.23.11)
and a good looking too
7. Peter Morris, are you smoking dried sheep droppings again?!?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (08.23.11)
Like, we know things are kinda slow down in kiwiland, so we'll let you keep your funny visions. Cuz, of course, if we did what you said and took the opposite of what the media says, then, of course Col. Khadaffi is still in power and winning the war! He will obviously emerge triumphant and reestablish his benevolent rule of niceness and generosity for his people. That's what's really happening in Libya. For Peter, at least...
8. #4
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (08.23.11)
Not only ex-SAS and CIA. Apart from indiscriminate air attacks, most of the real fighting, sniping and sabotage is by UK and US troops. Remember, before the war started, rebels accidentally captured and then released an SAS team with an Arabic-speaking MI6 agent who were liasing with another UK agent posing as a wheat farmer. The UK said the MI6 agent wanted to meet the rebels, but did not explain why the SAS troops were carrying explosives. In any case, Cameron has just announced that he is preparing troops to occupy Tripoli.
9. Gaddafi & Obama
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (08.23.11)
There is no excusing vile behaviour on the scale practiced by gaddafi. An execution squad post Lockerbie was justified. Europe however is money sensitive, and just as Yvonne Fletcher's blood was settled for money, so were the lives of over 300 innocent travellors Obama has irresponsibly let loose malignant genies from the middle east bottle. in Tunis, Egypt, Syria, Libya. sowing seeds of revolution. Arabs do not do democracy, and so Playing with fire has consequences when a madman such as Gaddafi is at the other end. The outcome might not be too clear for all of us.. We have to hope for the best
10. The Gaddafis are quite inspirational really...
Adam ,   Golan Heights Israel   (08.23.11)
Their refusal to surrender in the face of western Oil imperialism gives hope to the little guy. The fact that the rebels do not have a clue who they have in captivity is quite telling...that the rebels are likely mostly not even Libyans. I can't think of any other explanation for them not knowing the faces of the Gaddafi sons.
11. I had the unfortunate experience of sitting closeby some...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (08.23.11)
Libyan ex-pats at last night´s Barça - Napoli match at Camp Nou, and watched in horror as they hung the old Libyan Republic (rebel) flag over the first overhang, accompanied with much hoopla and "V" signs. Much to my relief (and everyone else in the area) within 10 minutes, security arrived and forced them to take it down. Little things like that is what makes Barça such a class organisation.
12. He & his daddy should get the first plane to south america
zionist forever   (08.23.11)
Hugo Chavez is their only hope if they want to avoid being put on trial in either Libya or the Hague and if they stand trial they will be lucky if the punishment is life in prison and will more likely be public execution. Time for those Gaddafi fools to accept they put up a good fight but in the end they lost and now its time to skip town while they still have a chance. I am sure they have a couple of million stashed away somewhere so they can live a nice comfy life in exile If Gaddafi doesn't like the idea of South America maybe Israel can grant him asylum, he would feel right at home living in a tent on Rothschild Blvd.
13. He's dead meat now or later
Bad assed Jew. ,   United States   (08.23.11)
When the rebels do take control, I expect to see this lunatic severed in several pieces and displayed in several locations. Dead man walking and balking and talking, but not for long.
14. ACCORDING TO ARAB SOURCES....
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.23.11)
Again we see the unreliability of any Arab sourced Media. Yesterday we heard both sons of Gaddafi were being held prisoner. Now today...this morning...I turned on ABC News...to see one son (Seif al-Islam) free and giving a speech at the hotel where the Western MSM press reporters stay. Then a report on the same news show, that the second son had been freed in a raid by Gaddafi loyalists. Bottom line both sons are free. We still don't know where Gaddafi is staying, and Gaddafi forces are now fighting a fierce battle for Tripoli. Remember Gaddafi has hired top mercenaries from around the world so this fight may be far from over. They say Gaddafi has plenty on money at this point so he still can pay his army and mercenaries. What did the rebels say? "rebel leadership seemed stunned that Seif al-Islam was free. The leadership's spokesman, Sadeq al-Kabir, had no explanation and could only say, "This could be all lies." Yes the rebel leadership was "stunned", of course calling the reports "lies". Really Lies? Seif al-Islam gave a speech at a hotel filled with the Western press, so they are NOT lies. But it seems the rebel reports were "lies", whoops!!! ACCORDING TO ARAB SOURCES.... ACCORDING TO PALESTINIAN SOURCES... Whenever a story starts with either of those two phrases, just figure the reports are lies. How many times do you have get burned before you question these fools,
15. New wellcome,New development
OKU ,   NIGERIA   (10.25.11)
