1. tsipi go by your self
carlos ,   TA   (08.23.11)
MK Majalli Whbee (Kadima) also slammed Minister Barak saying "whoever is in charge of the safety of our citizens should go home."////// ..ok livni than you are the first one to go home .begause you ever never dith something more than trow dirt in faces .you useles
2. Fo once I agree with her. We failed to respond.
Eyal ,   USA Israel   (08.23.11)
There should have been none stop bombing of Gaza, at least until the Egyptians reach a truce and if another rocket fired after truce, more heavy bombing on Gaza. They should be begging for truce, not us.
3. Yes, for once
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (08.23.11)
the shrieking mindless parakeet, Livni, is right. High time we dumped Porky Pig Barak and replaced him with someone who has baitzim.
4. Moshe Yaalon for Defense Minister
Rachel ,   US   (08.23.11)
5. dismiss
colin   (08.23.11)
Finally Livni is doing something right. Her demand that the cowardly yellow bellied barak be fired and kicked out of the government is what the Israeli population really wants.Get rid of this lieing ,untruthful false supposed to be defence minister. All he wants is to enlarge his banking account and to hell with Israel and the people.
6. Strategic thinking, Tzipi has NONE
John ,   Houston USA   (08.23.11)
The steps Barak took were in the strategic interests of Israel. Tzipi apparently cannot see that and was either on her usual rant about whoever is in power, or was so in need of immediate retaliatory satisfaction, that she couldn't appreciate the longer term repercussions of Hamas putting Israel in the headlines instead of keeping Syria and Libya at the front of everyones mind. Tzipi just needs to go sit in a corner.
7. Now she's saying something WE ALL AGREE.
Dov   (08.23.11)
Barak MUST go and be replaced IMMEDIATELY. He's an incompetent appeaser and a danger to Israel's existence.
8. For ONCE I do agree!
Alf Red ,   Londonistan   (08.23.11)
In my eyes, Livni is revolting as a politician. Worse than useless! BUT - for once I do agree with her: Barak MUST GO! This bumbling egomaniak was good on his level as a special force samal or whatever was his grade in sayeret. As PM he was a full-blown catastrophe, and only G-d's interference saved us from his horrid plans. As DM he is an useless blabbering MORON! We all know his "achievements" at this post: night flight from Lebanon leaving all the equipment and even our Lebanese comrades in arms to the Hisballa bloody reprisal. This man is a menace to Israel and it is imperative that he has to be dismissed IMMEDIATELY!
9. problem with coalition government is you cant get rid of peo
zionist forever   (08.23.11)
I cannot stand Livni but I have no love for Barak who has only done one good thing for the defense establishment and thats get new equipment for the army and fought against the cutting of its budget. As a defense minister he has been average at best. Unfortunately one of the many problems with coalition government is we can't get rid of bad ministers because give them the boot and they will quit the coalition because you have hurt their ego. We need to end this awful political system we have where politicians are not directly elected and we can't get rid of failing ministers. Just think if we didn't have the current system and MKS were directly elected neither Bibi, Barak or Livni would be MKS.
10. Both Livni & Barak should get lost.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.23.11)
Is Livni any better than Barak? We'd all be better off if both of them disappeared, into political oblivion. She's not really interested in anything but scoring political points.
11. Livni is Israel's biggest problem
Ibrahin El Awal ,   Dearborn,Michigan   (08.23.11)
Livni thinks that her party is more important than Israel proper. If she would have joines Likud government there would have been a "unity" government which would strengthen Israel globally. All she can do is throw mud on Israel government. It is necessary that Livni will show responsibility if she seeks to be a future PM.
12. For the Nth time, Livni!
Gábor Fränkl   (08.23.11)
Traitor, go home and leave the Knesset and , preferably, Israel altogether.
13. Actually the damn lot she resign and new elections held!
David ,   The North   (08.23.11)
Left, Center, Right or Extreme Right - they are ALL a bunch of self seeking, power drunk, self styled leaders who have no leadership qualities whatsoever. The basic fact id that the Bibi-Lieberman-Barak-Yishai apology of a government has, once again, let us down! First the Carmel, Fire, the the lack of housing, the VAT on water and the horrific price rises and now, they want to apologize to those who killed our people in the South and to the Turks who sent terrorists who beat up our soldiers! By doing this he will be spitting on the IDF and playing into the hands of Turkey by saying that our soldiers have done something wrong. It should be noted that when the horrible murder of the Vogel family happened, our Prime Minister couldn't get there to pay his respects fast enough but he did nothing at the time of the Carmel Fire in which 42 people were burnt to death because of HIS government's negligence and he has not seen fit to visit the bereaved families of those who were butchered by Egyptian Soldiers and Hamas! Time for them all to resign and to hold an election!
14. Rachel is right! Moshe Yaalon for Defense Minister
Neil B   (08.23.11)
15. The impossibilty has occured ! For once
DT ,   TA Israel   (08.23.11)
I agree with Drippy Livni. He should have been fired years ago
16. Did Livni or her party have one positive suggestion?
Rebecca ,   Modiin   (08.23.11)
Or was it all political bashing? What do we pay them for.
17. her barak are both useless
david ,   jew.s.a   (08.23.11)
With the spineless reaction to the terror attacks last week. Barak should just step down if he cares about the people of israel. he obviously does not have the sack to defend our people. Livni is just a whiney b*tc% that bashes anyone she has a chance or reason to. With her its all political and she looks for any reason to bash bibi and the govt. barak is just plain useless, he spends more time on his knees under obamas desk then he does preparing the IDF and defending israel.
18. Barak and Livni
Moshe ,   T/A Israel   (08.23.11)
Putting Politics on one side and the regular finger pointing and who did what and how and why which follows nearly every attack.... The facts remain that despite all the rhetoric and despite all the claims to the contrary the IDF/Barak/BB did nothing. "Ground Assault" "Limited Invasion" and all the usual bla bla ended up with Hamas knowing they got away with murder and our deterent capacity erroded further still by two men who between them would have a problem deciding what day of the week it is. The left wing papers across Europe are congratulating the Israelis for their retraint and 8 people are dead and what did we do - we had the spectacle of Barak and BB telling us the consequences of the actions of Hamas will be far reaching. Where are the leaders of Israel when you need them? Moshe
19. #9 hit the nail on the head
Ya'akov ,   Be'er Sheva   (08.23.11)
ZionistForever, I have been saying exactly the same for many years. Not only coalition government equals a disjointed misgovernment, but it circumvents true democracy. Direct secret vote is the best way to eliminate all this not only unnecessary but damaging divided policies as well as constant manuvering and bickering. Maybe colaition government would be efficient and productive in a society with truly mature, patriotic and responsible politicians. But this bunch of the last decades has proven that such is not the case. In a true democracy the government should rule by the expressed will of the people as expressed directly, by them, for those who have established a clear and healthy program. Now, if they do not comply with their promises, but rather deliver the opposite, it should be considered betreal to the nation that elected them. And those who betray the nation are, by definition, traitors and therefore they should be investigated, prosecuted and found guilty (if proven so) and finally condemned for treason. Would that make politicians much more careful when making false promises while being elected? Only then the people would truly get what they are voting for: fulfilled promises from those who are supposed to serve them. and RESPECT them! Where am I wrong?
20. #9 #11 - Problem with Coalition Govt is Barak wanted to join
Ahmad Cohen Ibn ,   Mousa HaLevy   (08.23.11)
Fatah and Tzipi wanted to join HAMAS. Both of them are total failures and must be permanently dumped.
21. livni on barak
alexi   (08.23.11)
though livni asking israel to apologize to egypt before israel figures out what happened(quite likely that egyptian soldiers may have been assisting terror sponsored iranian elemens is stupid and smacks of appeasement, her call for barak to step down is reasonable. You recall barak did nothing to save the 2 idf soldiers trapped and lynched in ramallah. He will do nothing except authorize a few helicopter missile shots, hit empty buildings and wound a few hamas and then say he will decapitate hamas shooters. His threats are laughable. it will take liberman, yaalon, begin and even vilnai to shift barak out of defense and replace him with yaalon. Barak though better than peretz and olmert, runs scared and will appease and do nothing. he is not good in large battle warfare and so will do anything to avoid skirmishes even if it humiliates israel and harms its soverignty. Yes, proceed with caution. israel should not unleash an invasion for a year until it has 4 more iron dome batteries at the very least and israeli funds should be allotted and not simply wait for the US. In the meantime, israel should do the following- 1) targeted assasination 2) fire its own grad equivlaent rockets into gaza. bear in mind that russia would not have defeated the nazis unless it had subdued the civilian population which was begging fo r peace after being smashed with soviet made rockets. I can only conclude that israel is overly sensitive to international opinion. barak can live in comfort in tel aviv while southerners are being maimed. Jesus!
22. livni calls....
sjoerd ruurd van der ,   mankindland etc.   (08.23.11)
mrs./young lady tzipi livi can better ask the entire revisionistic, zionistic leadership to resign, so that she and her kadima-party and eventually other parties can take over as much as is possible to set something straight in the world-region of western-asia. young lady tzipi i wish you a lot of success, at first for your own jewish people in working together with any people. let us also have a great deal of young-ladies-power for the benefit of the entire people of humanity/mankind.
23. To Livni: Stop Whining and Buy a Ticket Out
Noah Lev ,   HollywoodUSA   (08.23.11)
Blah, blah, blah, so goes Livni. I have been following this blowhard for years..she is not only a dummy, but dangerous to Israel's security. She cowers before the Arabs at Annappolis, failed in her previous position as F.M., contradicted her boss (s) when interviewed on US TV, and essentially finds fault ( I supose her job), w/o offering any solutions, just generalities. She is no Golda, Israel. She tries to be the Jewish Hanan Ashwari, w/o brains or foresight. okay, so 3 cells operating from Sinai, got into the Strip or used Sinai as a base to attack a quiet part of Israel, (Eilat). Sure, the fence (s) should be completed, once started. Fences dont stop rockets however, only cross bordering. Deterrence, whoopi. What else is new. Egypt has changed,Livni,. Where are you. It itself is in flux...there is no gov. No one know where it is headed. Syria, we all know is imploding..but has Iranian support still. No US or NATO action there. Libya is inconsequential, with 6m people, and lots of land. Its their oil that has meaning. Jordan is again faulting Israel...fo allr the areas ills. Yet Jordan is why Israel is in the W. Bk and Jerusalem. Livni is angry most everyone for not being P.M. in Israel's faulty system. I mean, she won. To Livni: get out..retire to Palm Beach Gardens Florida. There, you can have safety, wartalk, and drink seltzer with the "oldsters". You are pathetic..and besides...outdated. To Israel: ignore her. Deal with Egypt/Turkey as professionals. They are thieves..both of them..honor among thieves, as the saying goes. Egypt has not adqquately controlled the border for decades..and Turkey blasts Israel's militancy, while itself killing hudnreds of Kerds. Cant have it both ways guys.
24. Livni, Barak and Netanyahu......
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (08.23.11)
Netanyahu keeps Barak in his cabinet because of his close ties with the Stae Department and has given him green light to pursue his leftist policies. He's more than DM, he's foreigh minister too... he's a traitor and should go. On the other hand Livni is the lowest among the low and should shame herself!
25. Barak
meir ,   israel   (08.23.11)
Barak is a narcissist. He reminds of General McCarthur who also strutted around in sunglasses.....before he was fired.
26. barak
sas ,   israel   (08.23.11)
should NEVER have been appointed Minister of Defense............ But he is there now and who can replace him? What super star is there????? you???????????mofaz??????????????Fuad????????????????????you all have the same amount of intelligence.......(absolutely non).
27. For once I agree, but her reasons are wrong.
(08.23.11)
28. Barak was Bibi's commander
Sue Goldstein ,   Israel   (08.23.11)
You can't tell your commander he's fired.
29. #26,General Galant a perfect replacement!
Claudia USA ,   Tampa FL   (08.23.11)
I am sure he can be forgiven his sins considering none of them were because of incompetence. Barak and Livni both are incompetent leftists.
30. Livni & Barak
Judy Prager ,   Petach Tikva   (08.23.11)
When Netanyahu formed his coalition he took in Barak as head of the labour faction and rewarded him with four mandates. When Barak left the labour party and formed his new Indepence Party he should have returned these mandates as they were awarded to Labour. He is keeping them under false pretenses. They should be returned to Labour Party and redistributed. In this way Barak could be removed as our Defence(less) Minister. Barak's new party has no more rights to these mandates than any other Tom Dick or Harry.
