"However; the treaty already assures full protection or borders. Egypt did not carry out it's full obligations." You really need mental checkup

This is one time you should explain yourself, instead of incomprehensible comments. Thanks.

The Peace Treaty between Israel and Egypt,March 26,1979,Article III,Para.3(I quote verbatim): "Each Party undertakes to ensure that acts or threats of belligerency, hostility, or violence do not originate from and are not committed from within its territory, or by any forces subject to its control or by any other forces stationed on its territory , against the population, citizens or property of the other Party. Each Party also undertakes to refrain from organizing, instigating, inciting, assisting or participating in acts or threats of belligerency, hostility, subversion or violence against the other Party, anywhere, and undertakes to ensure that perpetrators of such acts are brought to justice." This is what the Egyptian government agreed to and signed, and this is what the Egyptian government fails to uphold. The Egyptian government had better watch out.Simultaneously with the treaty, the US administration guaranteed Egypt's compliance to Israel by any means.Egypt won't always have a willing poodle like Obama who ignores Egypt's failures to uphold its treaty obligations. Then the Egypt government will find the US aid that it loves being withheld and worse. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
34. Egypt never apologized for Sulliman Hater
Tahl   (08.24.11)
An Egyptian soldier who went on a rampage and killed seven Israeli tourists in Sinai. For over 25 years, Egypt failed to apologize over this heinous act of terror. They have some nerve asking for an apology from us now.
35. #24, actually, it's YOUR post which is so incredibly biased.
Tahl   (08.24.11)
Funny how you conveniently neglected to mention, that of this number of dead Palestinians, about 70% were armed terrorists. Funny also how you also conveniently neglected to mention, how the remaining 30% were mostly human shields, serving to protect the said terrorists. And that the terrorists fired often from schools, kindergartens and mosques. Even Goldstone admitted that. Funny also how you also neglected to mention WHY Israel invaded Gaza in Cast Lead. Or does constant unprovoked rocket fire on Israeli towns seem perfectly acceptable to you? And last but not least, funny how you completely ignored everything which was said in this article, and chose to change the subject to suit your agenda. Did you inhale too much sheep flatulation to affect your brain like this?

Reality is that the true figure is well over 10 civilians per combatant in Afghanistan and Iraq. In Kosovo it was over 1,000 to none.
38. The difference between Egypt & Turkey
Anadelfos ,   Athens Greece   (08.25.11)
Concerning the Turkey issue, you should not apologize, because those turkish citizens attacked the israeli soldiers with murderous intentions. But the case with Egypt is different, as the egyptian soldiers were not contacting any aggression. They were at the wrong place the wrong time, but they were killed by mistake. It is this mistaken decision you should apologize for, and consequently gain the moral ground to solve the root of the problem which is named Gaza, without unneccessary diversions. You must not give to your enemies the argument that you care only about your people,as all peaceful lives have the same significance. It is Gaza where you have to focus , since this consists your main problem. Create a 10 miles wide , israeli controled buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt, and let them dig for ever.

"Create a 10 miles wide , israeli controled buffer zone between Gaza and Egypt, and let them dig for ever." I like the idea. LOL. Thanks.
40. stop apologizing!
ruth ,   michigan USA   (08.25.11)
Israel has NOTHING to apologize for. they were attacked, what are they supposed to do, roll over and play dead? oh--yeah--I forgot. that's exactly what the world would like them to do. please, Israel...don't do it. you are in the right, they are in the wrong, and it doesn't matter what "the nations" think.

About the border protection, I think a treaty signed before 30 years should be updated now. Also don’t forget the amount of pressure applied by the Israeli side in case that the Egyptian government just try to add a dozen of soldiers to enhance the border control.

Please post; What other treaty has ever been "updated"? A treaty is a treaty. And what would you update? The treaty is pretty clear about border protection responsibilities of all parties. And true, Israel wanted Egypt to increase security in Sinai. Egypt asked to be allowed many more [many, many more than a dozen] soldiers to assist. Israel discussed it within the government, both pro and con, and they said ok.
