Will the Arab League order Obama to attack an arab state or does their compassion not extend as far as supporting military action to protect the Syrians? Assad is not going to listen to the Arab League anymore than he will listen to Obama or Erdogan. Assad's job is at stake here and he knows if he stops the killing the people will rise up and topple him, its to late for doing deals. Assad is going to keep killing in the hope he will kill enough people and it will put down the uprisings. Israel is the one that has to worry because if he gets desperate Assad may decide to start firing missiles on Israel in the hope that it will make him a national hero and all will be forgiven.

What they are really saying to him is you have to stand down. Remember the R2P in Libya has been going on for 6 months, as Syria has been going for 5 months, meaning we should have already been there, months ago. It is getting to gas time.

the arab league is a joke. Assad has murdered well over 2000 people , tortured thousands, wounded thousands, destroyed cities and towns in syria and the eunich arab league say to him to "play nice" . screw all you arabs and muslimes. You have no sense of decency
