Ummm -- exactly how does EMP affect fiberoptics -- glass -- which by definition is not a conductor of electricity and thus can't pick up the EMP.... EMP would, however, also take out most diesel trucks -- electronic controls, electronic fuel shutoff, all American-made ones after 2007 or so have electronic computer controls as well. Also alternators -- can't keep starting the truck with a dead battery...
