Marcel ,   Florida   (08.29.11)
We know the game ,next month the cult that worships death will name a street after their hero. What is amazing in all of this is that most naive Israeli's fall for taqiyya every time.
2. SAVE IT
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (08.29.11)
But I haven't heard of any condemnation of the Gaza rocket attacks? Only against Israel for responding! So when I read this: "the overall air in the Palestinian Authority is against terror attacks," Pardon me if it sounds like pure BS.
3. Phoney Baloney.
Terry ,   Eilat - Israel   (08.29.11)
They incite in the mosques, on their TV, in their newspapers, day in, day out. They name streets, sports stadiums, public squares after terrorists, they pay salaries to prisoners condemned for terrorism & pay their families as well, they pay the families of dead ''martyrs'' & pay salaries in Gaza which is the same as aiding Hamas. So, when they issue a BS statement like this, it's just for idiots & stupid Westerners. Later, in Arabic, they'll call him a hero. And, on our side, what kind of crap security when illegals wander around freely?

Kefeeya on fire!

That's the Palestinians for you. They know that these terrorists are hurting their stupid attempt at get a state. That is the ONLY reason they condemn!

10. Terrorism
Sam M ,   UK   (08.29.11)
Moshe Arens wrote recently ''In my opinion, destroying three shopping malls in Gaza will do the job without a single IDF infantry man entering the area''. Of course this should be done at night to minimise casualties. Will it work? Maybe. Maybe not. The problem with terrorism though is that Israel must exact a very high price for each attack. If this simple equation is not put into practice then there is in effect no deterrence and Israeli reprisals will be no more than trying to appease the anger of the Israeli public while trying to convince the 'international community' how 'reasonable' she is. If attacks continue then on to the next target. Perhaps only when they're scampering around like sewer rats amid the rubble of their communities will palestinian terrorists finally realise that they have reached the end of the line. Whether terrorism emanates from Judea and Samaria or gaza the same principle should apply. Example: arrest and detain the terrorist agitators from the ‘west bank’ who encourage scum bags like the one who attacked the nightclub revellers. Israel has to choose between paying attention to 'world opinion' or doing the job properly. You can't do both at the same time and delaying the inevitable will only make it more difficult in future as the threats continue to multiply. And the Palestinian Authority condemnation? It’s not even worth commenting on.
11. "PA does not condone terror"
William ,   Israel   (08.29.11)
That's why they work hard to spin terrorist actions into "self-defense" arguments, especially when it involves pregnant women and toddlers. All other acts of terror which can't be spin-doctored are fully support by Fatah and the PLO, but not the PA.
12. So Abbas condemns this terror attack...
William ,   Israel   (08.29.11)
of one lone Arab terrorist, originating from the West Bank (the area under their rule)... but remains silent on the well-planned terror attack on Israeli civilians originating out of Gaza (the area under Hamas control)...
13. elior levy- "pa condemns....".
sjoerd ruurd van der ,   worldnation/land etc   (08.29.11)
that could be the beginning of self-reflexion, by the palestinian people. next the term to the other side/party of the unfortunately still going on conflict in the western-asian world-region, to do some constructive self-analysing to try to change/to improve their human behaviour and to try to trust eachother, so that peace and prosperity will become/is possible.
14. Arabs
william ,   Canada   (08.29.11)
Israel please remember in dealing with Abbas,or any other Arab for that matter, that Ambition can Creep as well as Soar.//

16. Condemnation and reward

How much money do the families of suicide bomber losers get?
17. then, they'll call him a politcal prisoner, demand release..
dante ,   uk   (08.29.11)
it's the same old game. they'll condemn the attack as counterproductive or something of that sort and they will classify this terrorist as a poltical prisoner (the euros will convulse in sympathetic tears), demand his release, and pay his family money for the time that he is imprisoned. it's the same old game. is it better than what the animals of gaza do? one has to say that it is, slightly. but to say that it is indecent and disengenuous is an outrageous understatement.

19. Then tell me, if I may have the temerity to ask, why...
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (08.29.11)
....the Palestinians have consequently named squares, and streets after the very same people who commit the acts they purport to condemn?

23. A voice of dissent amid unanimous sarcasm
HaifaGuy   (08.29.11)
Allow me to assume that this could be the beginning of a wonderful friendship between our nations... What if Abbasush really means it?! What if they really do not condone terror? What if they are a peace-loving, law-obiding people with best of intentions and plans for themselves and for their neighbors? Have we been wrong all these past years? Let's take their word for it this once; let's give them the benefit of a doubt! Let's bring down the security fence, allow them to flood the country with well-meaning, job-seeking bloodshot-eyed bearded zealots... Let's do that, shall we? Can anyone lend me their Swiss passport, please?
24. israelis will continue to die
marcel   (08.30.11)
israelis are in the front lines, the arabs have no intentions of ever making peace. They have no interest in a country, except for drinking blood. Israel will respond hesitantly under bibi and barak as one is nervous and the other has no confidence in his own fighting ability based on being routed at chinese farm, sultan al yacoub, the marmora and the flight in lebanon. General yaalon has to replace him or israel is done for.
25. Haha wow, tough crowd...
OJ Leb ,   Canada   (08.30.11)
If he kept quiet, you'd be whining "ohh Abbas didn't condemn this, he supports terrorism waaah!" If he does condemn it, you then whine "ohh he's just saying that, he supports terrorism waaah!"...
26. Cui bono? - Who benefits?
Doron Darian   (08.30.11)
The Palestinians have *nothing* to gain from this. On the other hand, a MILLION Israelis are going to be demonstrating after Shabbat to bring the Israeli gov't down and the center of the demonstration is Tel Aviv. Figure it out.
27. and another lone individual and another lone individual
ghostq   (08.30.11)
