But, Mr Foxman just can't bring himself to utter the source of these wack-job theories, it's not politically correct to put the blame where it belongs.

At the time of the 9/11 attack, I still lived in an Arab country. The day after the attack, aside from the rather evident joy of most people, the rumour that literally everyone was repeating was that this was an Israeli attack meant to discredit the Arabs. All the elements were present in this conspiracy theory, especially the one about the Jews stayed home on the day of the attack. Now, after a bit of questioning, where do you think this rumour started? Why, at the mosques, of course. It was the official Party Line. And, not in one mosque - in EVERY mosque. Leftists, of course, will repeat anything that the Islamic community says, that goes without saying.
