1. Gee I bet Turkey accepted 100% of bogus Goldstone report
Cynic ,   USA   (09.01.11)
2. Not Fair
Zach ,   USA   (09.01.11)
If Turkey gets criticized for not adopting a report they do not like maybe Israel should show them the right way to do things and adopt the many previous UN reports that Israel failed to adopt. That would show the world that Israel does care about justice and set an example for Turkey to follow.
3. Turkey is act9ing like a five year old...
Charles ,   Paris, FRANCE   (09.01.11)
...it eats only the ice cream but not the broccoli.
4. Israel is in a big suprize despite the power it has over US
mark ,   usa   (09.01.11)
Just case in point, and think how much insecure Israel feels with Iran and Syria and Lebonan, and gaza and hamas and maybe Egypt and Jordan, and most radical been the Iran, and all the efforts to contain it, do you really think Israel is much safer when you have a enemy with 75 millon people second in nato 6th global fire power and a army of man willing to die, and have power 1000 times more than Iran, do you really want to make this country an enemy of Israel?do you?
5. pro Israel talkbackers etc
marc   (09.01.11)
will RUIN the benefits of this report for Israel anyway by whining endlessly about the ''excessive force'' finding instead of focusing on the parts which support Israel and condemn Turkey. The Turks have fallen into the same trap. By rejecting the report they are focusing the world's attention on the fact that Palmer condemned them. I guess Turks are just as stupid as Israelis...
6. un not fair usually
Barmtl ,   MTL, Canada   (09.01.11)
Israel is singled out at the UN and is undeserving of most reports. I can highlight the most recent Goldstone report that the own author recanted later...was Israel supposed to accept lies? Get real mr "Not Fair"
7. Israel imports million of shekels from Turkey
michael redbourn ,   arad israel   (09.01.11)
Washing machines; refrigerators etc etc. Plus Israeli tourists. Turkish businessmen will not take this lying down and have already protested.
8. Michael @ 7

Buisness is buisness. Their products are no good in the warehouse. Saudi Arabia are astute buisness men, regardless of idiology they know the oil is no use to them in the ground. And a product is only worth what a customer will pay.
9. turkish rep
paul ,   usa   (09.01.11)
who is criticizing Turkey's response? They can spout all of the foul mouthed comments they have beenscreaming for months. Their FM has made outrageously anti-semitic (besides the anti-Israel comments). It's all been ridiculous as everyone knows this blockade is legal. On the other hand, even Goldstone retracted large parts of his very flawed report. Want to blame that on the Jews too, Zach?
10. #2 - not fair...
yosef ,   memphis, USA   (09.01.11)
...you seriously accept the validity of those "many previous UN reports that Israel failed to adopt"?
11. Zach @ 2, who's loking for 'fair' in this World.
leo ,   usa   (09.01.11)
BTW, Palmer investigation and subsequent report were initiated by UN commission at the request of Turkey. Even if Israel were to refuse the adaptation of the report Turkey could not. It will be accepted whether Turkey likes it or not.
12. Turkey demanded an independent commission...
Vlad   (09.01.11)
They got it.
13. no violence on vessels that complied with LEGAL blockade!
dante ,   uk   (09.01.11)
that's the fact. in addition, for any of the vessels that were interested, Israel offered to transfer humanitarian aid to gaza. (of course, humanitarian aid was not the point of the flotilla; the point of the flotilla was to break the blockade and to allow the terrorist that control gaza to easily replenish their arsenal for attacks against Israel.)
14. Turks killed 100 kurds last week
Ken V ,   Oslo   (09.01.11)
Say no more... just read this from CNN a week ago: Iraqi Kurds protest on August 22, 2011 to denounce Turkey's latest bombing campaign on Kurdish separatist bases in Iraq Istanbul (CNN) -- Ninety to 100 Kurdish rebel fighters have been killed during Turkey's incursion on northern Iraq, the Turkish military said Tuesday. The military carried out more than 130 airstrikes and nearly 350 artillery strikes between last Wednesday and Monday in an offensive against fighters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, in neighboring Iraq. Around 80 people have been wounded in the push, the military said. On Sunday night, a PKK spokesman said no rebels had been killed. Turkish armed forces are striking what the country calls PKK "safe havens" and "attack bases" in the region. Targets included rebel barracks, caves, ammunition depots and anti-aircraft positions in the region, part of Iraq's Kurdish autonomous region. Dozens of Turkish soldiers have been killed over the last month, in a clear escalation of the conflict that has raged intermittently between Kurdish separatists and the Turkish state since 1984. More than 30,000 people have been killed in the conflict, many of them ethnic Kurds. The Kurds are Turkey's largest ethnic minority. Turkish authorities have not responded to reports from the Iraq's Kurdish authorities that a family of seven civilians was killed by an airstrike on Sunday.

Obama already is an enemy of Israel. You obviously dont understand Islamic Calaphate
16. To #5, ignorent marc
Ros ,   מודיעין   (09.02.11)
The turks have invaded annexed and conquered Cyprus, they performed genocide against armanians and still kill kurds while stripping them from their rights, You really think that after all this has happened and the world was quite, they will be "moved" by this report? think again, it wouldn change a thing! I'll just enjoy those 5 minutes of the report being not anti-israeli as predicted, althou its still not totally fair
17. Turkey sent terrorists
Ken ,   SA   (09.02.11)
Turkey knew they were sending terrorists on the flotilla and it would end in a fight. They are responsible for the outcome.
18. Turkey - Mark
Steve R ,   Dallas USA   (09.02.11)
No matter what Israel does or says, Turkey has already decided it wishes to be an enemy of Israel. Turkey is looking for a reason to break relations with Israel and as it has long been said "any excuse will serve a tyrant."
19. #2: false premise that all reports are entitled to equal...
dante ,   uk   (09.02.11)
it is the false premise of "zach" that all reports issued by international bodies are entitled to equal deference. they are not. some come from u.n. agencies or panels that are controlled by enemies of Israel and some are produced without any attempt to comply with procedural norms that ensure fairness. WHY should the findings those agencies or panels be accepted? life would simpler if everything were on a toggle switch, black or white: all reports are valid or all reports are invalid. sorry, mate, that's not the way it is.
20. ofcourse this was to be expected.....
Gabriel ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (09.02.11)
Turkey (and other Islamic countries) are always quick to point to UN-reports that condemn Israel (about the full 100 perc. or near enough as to make no matter), but when they themselves are being subjected to some criticism,UN findings are 'bound' to be false. It's a sociological issue, which you see in nearly all islamic countries: a complete inability to see one own's fault, and when condemned, fierce bouts of nationalistic sentiment in which the truth is considered to be of secundary importance to national pride. This will lead to the redesign of incidents to suit nationalistic or theocratic interests, and on a grander scale of time, the rewriting of history to accomodate their pride, because the only alternative would be facing a long succession of disasters and bad decisionmaking.
21. Kick Turkey out of NATO
Mike ,   Oxford UK   (09.02.11)
it is a state run by terrorist sympathisers. It uses NATO weapons to kill innocent Kurdish civilians in Iraq. Kick Turkey out of NATO now!
22. TURKEY OWES ISRAEL AN APOLOGY.
noa ,   israel   (09.02.11)
23. What's this? Turkey rebuffs report??
john   (09.02.11)
In all honesty the Palmer findings were too kind to Turkey "almost appeasing. Nowhere in the report the word "PROVOCATION" by turkey been mentioned,Nor was there any mention that Erdogan and his government were in close contact with terrorists, the terror islamic group the IHH.This alone should get Turkey kicked out of NATO.However Israel have accepted and adopted the findings, despite Israel's reservations of the so called Excessive force. It's a fact the Israeli boarding party had to fight for their lives from terrorists sent by Edrogan.Turkey alone bears full responsibility for the end results.Israel has nothing to apologise to Turkey FULL STOP..
24. #16 and #18
marc   (09.02.11)
Sorry, it never occurred to me that we were talking about the effect of the report on Turkey. I took it for granted that Turkey woulld ignore it. I was talking about the general public in the west who assume the blockade of Gaza is illegal and unjustified without really thinking about it much. The report says the blockade is legal and explains why its justified. Being a UN report , rather than hasbara, ordinary people in the west are more likely to accept it as unassailable fact. Activists will have a harder time persuading ordinary people that its not legal or justified. Furthermore, the findings which went against Israel simply prove that the commission was not biased in favor of Israel. All in all a good result. Very clear, simple and easy to understand.

30. #5;marc, SENSELESS POSITION
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (09.02.11)
This is a interesting, and unique point of view. That should you be accused falsely, not say anything about it. One should accept the false findings if the other more numerous findings favor you? Does that really make sense to you? Again we have people who want Israel to give up the right to self defense, even in writing? The fact is I simply don't believe the IDF used "excessive force", watch the video's. The IDF was clearly under deadly attack and were fighting for their lives. Yes I'm happy the UN agreed that the blockade was legal, that the enforcement of the blockade was legal. That the passengers (I use the term loosely) were the ones that started the fight. But I don't think the IDF boarding a ship with paintball guns, and only after being brutally attacked, responded with deadly force, can be termed "excessive". I don;t believe saying that, somehow is falling into a trap? I'm sure if you went to court and had 10 charges against you and you were found innocent on 9 of those charges, but guilty on 1 charge, you would say, hey that's OK! If thought you were innocent of all 10 charges. It just makes no sense.
