3. What it is.
Jules   (09.02.11)
It is not "palestinians against occupation". It is SAVAGES against THE CIVILIZATION.
4. Just plain obnoxious
Henry from New York ,   USA   (09.02.11)
It is inexcusable, rude, and selfish for a group of misinformed people to attend a completely apolitical event that hundreds of others have probably paid between 50 and 300 GBP per ticket to attend, with the sole purpose of disrupting the event to the point that the radio broadcast of the show must be cancelled, for their own political goals. They owe each of those people an apology as well as the BBC listeners. If they want to make a point they should protest outside of Albert Hall. They should not ruin everyone's evening with expressions of their misguided philosophies. This reflects very poorly on them and must be embarassing for many Britons to see guests treated this way.
5. SHAME ON YOU LONDON!!!
NZ   (09.02.11)
Get the facts STRAIGHT before you protest! NZ is still a part of the Commonwealth but I have been embarrassed in regards to this connection for a long time now..sadly this seals it for me!! It's a no-brainer to see whats happening in your country and you are too weak to see it! Wake up!!!
6. philistines not palistines!
rachel ,   chutz4now, home soon   (09.02.11)
some people cannot appreciate good music. Obviously they feel that musicians in the Orchestra are settlers?! What point did it make? They behaved like the same thugs they always are: disruption of any interchange. Did not A.H. and his friends do the same before 1933?
7. As usual, they shot themselves in the foot
Devorah   (09.02.11)
just like the "palestinians."
8. Israelis have brass balls! chol hakavod!
Roxanne ,   Haifa   (09.02.11)
the video gives me chills - to see the courage of the violinist and conductor in the face of that upset! i hate palestinian activists!!!!!!!!!!!
9. Some audience members went to attack/punch the protestors.
(09.02.11)
10. A BBC reporter said afterwards, in a review of the days news
Jonathan ,   London Israeli   (09.02.11)
He said he couldnt believe these misinformed idiots believe that they only situation of concern in the middle east and worth protesting about to these handful of people was Israel. I would like to send them to Syria and protest.
11. Barbarians! Soft targets as usual! Civillians in Israel!
PETER SM ,   Melbourne   (09.02.11)
Where is law and order in Brtain these days?
12. BDS are thugs!!!

13. shame on BBC. did i mention it was a Nazi style protest ????
Lauran ,   CA,USA   (09.02.11)
the SS did the same things in jewish theaters in 1933 before the elections in Germany.....
14. Israel 7, Protestors 6
Neil Turner ,   Watford, UK   (09.02.11)
UK media this morning reporting that the Orchestra received 7 standing ovations, in comparison with 6 interruptions from the protesters. Well done Israel. I also understand that though the BBC stopped the transmission, they will repeat the whole broadcast (with interruptions edited out) on BBC Radio 3 Wednesday afternoon. One observer noted that the "demonstrators seemed to have turned the entire audience pro-Israel"
15. Perfect example of why there will never be a "Palestine".
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (09.02.11)
16. "Free, Free, Palestine"....in a pig's eye !!
(09.02.11)
17. Put into perspective...
Tim ,   Brighton   (09.02.11)
First there were only about 30 protesters who by the way at the entrance apart from being vocal were threatening in the extreme. Is it right that one of them should chant Nazis? (Though he was shooshed pretty quickly) Is it right that children and the elderly are made too scared to eneter the hall? It was appalling that they were allowed to stand SO CLOSE to to the entrance Second the demo seemed to be fronted this time by..youve guessed it someone who professes to be Jewish. A Deborah Fink. Who in the interview as if completely brainwashed was utterly blindly Anti Israel. Totally uncompromising... Third the entire audience some Jewish and mainly Non Jewish were angered by the disruption to an evening that cost an average of £35.00 per person Fourth the sheer authority, cool headedness and poise of Zubin Mehta and the IPA was fantastic. Zubin and the IPA you are cool! Fifth alot of the audience in retrospect despite being searched - were appalled that these demonstrators were able to smuggle flags into the hall. What a security lapse! If they breached the security rules can they be reprimamded? Sixth we demand that those demonstrators who were intimidating and threatening be taken to court by the police and tried. There should be no problem identifying those thugs from CCTV. As Ive said in the past...there are more and more examples of PSD going way way beyond their right to demonstrate - for example in my personal case a thug not so long ago in the name of the PSD trying to stop me buying oranges at Tesco! This has GOT to stop
18. Why was the concert not broadcast?
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (09.02.11)
Not broadcasting the concert provides a victory for the barbarians. The Palestinian Arabs and their sympathizers are the terrorists of the earth.
19. UK over run
Tambor ,   Eilat   (09.02.11)
A once Great Britain, is now flooded by criminal exiles, terrorists , human debris and deviants in the cause of Human Rights, euphamism for the German Right agenda. a 1000 years ago, Celts run around Britain naked Power civilisation and culture acquired since then has been squandered by apologists Now rated a third world country. Shame
20. i dont understand
oferdesade ,   israel   (09.02.11)
why the orchestra didnt simply walk off the stage as soon as it all started. if the best the bbc can do is state that the invitation was "purely musical" then f*** them.
21. They should have played Hatikvah at that point.
Rebecca ,   Modiin   (09.02.11)
22. mea culpa
Steve ,   USA   (09.02.11)
To those with whom I argued against the notion that Palestinians are ill bred, disgusting thugs, I apologize.
23. #13 it WASNT Nazi, UK Jewish Chroncile would have said
Moshe and Dana   (09.02.11)
Please don't make things up. The leftie anti-Israelis as stupid as they are wont go down that road of shouting Nazi stuff as they loose all or any 'street cred". In their eyes it is the evilo Israelis who are supposedly the 'nazis'.. load of idiots.
24. The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Metha are very >>>>>>
@@@@peace@@@@@   (09.02.11)
pro- peace and very active in promoting peace in the middle east!!! they open schools for palestinian and israeli kids to learn together music. targeting them is like targeting PEACE itself!!!!! the BDS thugs just showed us they are anti- peace, anti- israel barbaric people......
25. BDS are going Nazi style... "unexpected"....
Aron ,   Sweden   (09.02.11)
26. So they paid for tickets and supported Israel, LOL
Joseph ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (09.02.11)
27. They did not arrest them
Liliane ,   Brighton, UK   (09.02.11)
They did not arrest them. Disgraceful.
28. Just so you know....
GR ,   London   (09.02.11)
Most of the noise you hear in that video is the vast majority of the audience booing the protesters IN SUPPORT of the Israeli musicians. They gave the Israel Orchestra a very moving standing ovation at the end of the concert. So, while there are a few crazy., self-righteous idiots in the UK, let's not get hysterical....
29. #27 I agree disgraceful...if it was anyone else
meghan ,   israel   (09.02.11)
i wonder the outcome. Political correctness , the big PC should be Political Cowards. as for the hecklers..Pathetic Cockoos.
30. No surprise
Harvey ,   London   (09.02.11)
I chose not to go in even though I had a ticket . I knew what was coming and did not want to give them an opportunity to ruin my evening . Instead I decided to remain outside with around 200 fellow Zionists who proudly displayed our flag and engaged with passers by . The fascists and Jew haters were also there proclaimg there hatred of israel and their river to the sea mantra . The difference was manifest . A love of life , of culture , of all things that make us a great nation . On the other side the nihilism of unadulterated hate . A failed mentality and a wasted obsession . I recognize this group of miscreants every other week as they demonstrate outside Ahava . They are ne'er do wells and borderline sociopaths . It was apparent from the absent faces , that their hard core militants were up to no good inside. But let me tell you . As the culture minister himself tweeted , by the end there were 5000 new israel supporters . Forget them . They crawl out from under their stones every so often . It's how they give meaning to their squalid vacuous lives . Celebrate our creativity and contribution to every facet of human endeavor in stunning disproportion to our numbers .
